NOVEMBER 2008 Code Watch...

Looking forward to setting dates for family trip in Nov........ we used the a code last Nov. with meal plan and it saved us 800 dollars!

We are going November 3rd-11th
I want to be there for our 36 Wedding anniversary and my birthday.
I just would like to find a nice code to go with it.
I would even like to stay at Swan and Dolphin again, but really just any code with 40% would be like a gift in it self.

Remember that WDW changed their policies this year! Before, you got the rate of your check in date for the whole trip. Now you are charged day by day. So I'm not sure if the codes will be applied differently this year. Yes, I was able to do that during Thanksgiving of 07. I have no idea if you can do it in 08!

I think last year when they applied the code, you were charged day by day. The only reason I think that is because many people said that the cost went up have applying the discount and IIRC they were checking in on the last day of value.

Does anyone know if these codes have ever included the cabins at FW? If we go this year (keeping fingers crossed), my parents have expressed a great interest in going and the cabin would be perfect for us.

I tried to book Nov 8th - 16th and was told there was no code. After doing a little research here I called back and tried Nov 9th - 16th and guess what?? there was a code attached to my name. The very kind CM told me it was not valid for the 8th. I would have to pay full rate for the 8th then I could use the code for the balance of our trip.

Since many people have been asking about last years code.

A code offered last year (I saw it on a very well known discount code site, that I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say the name)...

I don't know blackout dates. I know I priced it for both after Columbus Day in October and for the second week of December and the amount was the same.

This is what it included:
2 Adults
7 night stay at Pop Century
5 day base MYW tickets

The total was somewhere around $750 and some change.

The dates that worked for mine were Dec 10th-18th, 2008

We decided to rent points from a DVC member and will stay at the BCV the first week in November in a studio. We have rented DVC points before and this time we know the members that we are renting from. Works for us.

Wouldn't Thanksgivng dates/weekend be blocked? Mine were, is it the same for everyone?
