NOVEMBER 2008 Code Watch...

I have had the Disney visa for 3 years and have only gotten 1 discount code before. Do some of you get multiple codes?
I sure hope something comes out for November, and that my name is attached!

If they put out a code for Disney Visa cardholders, it's for anyone. You won't get anything in the mail about it, you can find out about it on this site, allearsnet.com, or mousesavers.com. I'm sure there are others as well, but those are the ones I know of. Sometimes it shows up on the WDW website too, I think.

anyone else going nuts waiting for a Nov code/pin or package deals??? Being a 1st timer i started lookin into wdw trip back in Feb/March. DD reminded me that i told her several times when she turned 10 I would take her to wdw. Well she reminded me she will be 10 in Dec. uugh! Thank goodness i found this board. Since then I've beenwaiting for a darn good deal on airfare which I had to wait til SW came out with Nov Dates. I paid more then i planned, oh well, hoping for a DIng!

I've also been search for deals and calling for codes for my dates. Nothing. Now I'm waiting for August to see if a package comes out. Seem all i do it wait wait wait-lol!

I've been trying to figure out Food cost but then thinking what if a deal comes out on the DDP. I wish a code would turn up or a good deal instead of paying rack 111.00x 9 per night @POP . Maybe theni can actually plan what rides and things to see-lol!

Can you tell I need a break from my dining scheduling-lol!

I believe the codes for August just came out around the end of May or first of June, so it's usually only a couple of months ahead...so be patient, we've got a long time to wait! (but there's plenty to do to pass the time )

dreamin_disney - there probably won't be any deals on the DDP at that time of year (although you never know, but I don't think there have been in the past). We only do the DDP when it's free (September), but we save money on food at other times of the year by doing mostly counter service meals and bringing snacks and water from home. Check out the Budget Board (if you haven't already) for lots of money saving tips.

Book the room you want now and see what discounts they offer for your hotel when it comes out, you can apply the discount when it comes out or if they have a better deal at another hotel you are interested in and change hotels.


The last few years the rates were released right around the 15 of August.

I'm not sure how long I have had mine, but I have gotten a few. But I am signed up for several things with Disney Visa. Originally when I first got my Disney Visa they would post discounts on the statement... then moved to an insert with the statement. That stopped. I've seen discounts on the quarterly mailer they send out also. But mostly I signed up for paperless statements a couple years ago. Since that I get emails about when there is an upcoming discount.

I am tired of all this waiting also. We waited a lonnng time for the Nov. hours and now we wait for a code - hopefully!!!

Unfortunately, this is something that comes with the game. But its pretty well known that discount codes come out roughly 3 months in advance. The current discounts that are out now for Sept can be booked through July 27th or so. So within a week, I'd say, the codes should be out.

Thinking of a Thanksgiving trip from 11/21 thru 12/1. Like everyone else just waiting for a code & decent airfare . Does anyone have any experience with the crowd levels at this time and also the weather. We usually go during slower times but my dd12 starts high school this year & do not want to have her miss a whole week of school.

Nov. 6-11th for us.

I found out from a CM yesterday that if you call to book your trip and don't ask at that time if you have a PIN attached to your name, then they wipe it out. Unfortunately I made my reservation and then called back to ask. That just sucks. I'm holding out for a code but then she tells me since I booked on-line, if and when code comes out I'll have to cancel that ressie and re-book. Why do they have to make it so difficult for us Disney nuts?
