Last year we saved $480 on a 6 night stay at CBR. We had a package with dining and park hoppers.

Ok... I don't have exact numbers, but the first code that was offered last year was better than the first. I looked for a 7 night (Pop), 5 day base ticket for 2 adults came to around $700. It was the same if you booked in early Dec (value) or in Oct/Nov (regular). The second discount that came out was no where as good. I remember sassing off to my sister because when the first code came out I asked her if she wanted to go because it was such a great deal. She decided the day it expired she wanted to go.

Our discount was on the room only portion of our trip, although we had a package deal with park hoppers and the dining plan. Does that make sense? The discount was applied against our total package price, but the actual savings was based on the cost of the room, not the entire package.

Okay, thanks for your reply. The Mousesavers.com site has a page with past discounts and they show General Public discounts released in previous Augusts listed two ways -

room-only discount for general public
package discount for general public

and that's why I thought they discounted the entire package.

Just got done scanning all 28 pages and I didn't see if any prices from last yr were listed so I'll see if I can dig up some info from last yr. So we all can get an idea of what codes were released and prices people got last yr.
FWIW the past rounds of discounts that just a came out a few wks ago were the same prices as 2007 so hopefully the next round will follow.

This should help you find some of that information you are looking for, though exact prices aren't listed. I know that we had a room for 2 at CBR, 10 nights in Nov and got a room/park hopper tickets only, package, but no dining. We saved about 600.00, give or take, it was awesome! It seemed it was approximately 40% unless I figured that wrong. We got an postcard in mid Aug with the code.

Another question--

the general public codes are random-- correct? If we have a vacation already booked starting November 30th-- are the odds pretty bad.. since we already booked? I would be surprised if they would give us a discount code if we are already coming... is this right?

Also-- we have a Disney Visa.. those discounts are random as well, correct? We won't necessarily luck out with a code just because we have and use our Disney visa?

I thought I had seen on this thread or another that people have applied discounts to their reservations. I would think that if your reservation is not paid in full and hasn't come to the 45 day mark...I would think that you should be able to apply a discount. At least that is what I am hoping if we are lucky enough to use one for our stay at WL in Nov. But being a first time traveler...it's just a thought...lol

Yes, I know that even if you have already booked your trip and suddenly you get a pin or a code comes along, you can then apply it to your trip if you are going during the time the code is valid! If you used a TA, say AAA, tell them and they can do it for you. Also, I believe that, even if you have already paid off your trip, you can still apply the discount code and receive a credit!

And, I don't think the chances of getting a code are any different if you have a trip booked or not. I mean, if it's random, they don't pay attention to whether you have a trip booked or not, otherwise it wouldn't be random. Plus, just cause you have one trip booked, who's to say you wouldn't book another small trip, or a great big trip with the discount?

As far as Disney Visa, I've only had it a few months. But, I thought Disney visa codes were good for all card holders, though some don't seem to receive mail notification of this, there are codes released that are for all card holders.
I'm looking forward to receiving one, hopefully released in mid Aug as they did last yr, as noted on the mousesavers site!

I'm hoping to convince DH to go again this November (although I don't think it will take much convincing! ) We went last year the week after Thanksgiving-dd was still under two so I paid for two adults staying at Pop, with 4 day ticket plus dining for right around $900.00. This time I will be adding dd as she is three now. About another month and we'll see what comes out! Good luck everyone.

On my last trip to the World, a code came out after I had already paid in full. I called to see if I could apply it to my ressie and I received a credit of $300. I am hoping for the same this time. If not, it's okay because we are paid in full.

I just noticed thast based on your ticker I think we will be at POFQ at the same time. Our dates are Nov 27- Dec 2nd, do we overlap??

Can someone that has gotten a code in the past, tell me if the dates for Thanksgiving week are excluded from using a code?I was just figured that since it is a holiday, you may not be able to use a code.

Went last year Nov. 15 to the day before Thanksgiving. We had booked and then a code came out and I saved around $600 off my pkg w/dining! Hoping to get a deal this year too! If you are past the 45 days they will just charge you $50 for changing .. my sister did this and still saved around $300!

? - We have triple AAA

1.Do i book now myself using AAA discount i think its only 15% for room only and add basic park tickets only?

2.Do book through AAA?
What if a special or code comes out will AAA charge a fee for changing ressie?

3.Do i book with AAA discount myself and hope a code or package deal comes out then change my ressie?

I'm paying with my disney visa.

I have had the Disney visa for 3 years and have only gotten 1 discount code before. Do some of you get multiple codes?
