November 2007 Code Watch

It figures that I've had all summer off from work and begin back at work tomorrow morning at a bright and early 7 a.m. meeting...just as I should be checking into the general public codes. I'll have to convince my mother, who is traveling with us, to wake up bright and early to make the call. I'm hoping for some pixie dust to come my way!

I feel your pain!! I teach, and today was our first day back and OF COURSE they release the AP rates today. I even had my DH checking mousesavers all morning before he left for work. He left at 9:30 and there still wasn't anything posted at that point. By the time I got home from school at 4:30 and saw it, they were sold out at all the values and moderates I'm so sad!

I called this morning and then had AAA call and there were no rooms left for the Disney Visa holders they told my agent. Will they have a certain amount for general public when they release the special to them? My agent talks a million words per minute and she had my head spinning. She told me if they did have rooms I would have had to switch to another resort part way thru since we check in before value season.

I couldn't believe it - on a whim I called today to see if the VISA discount would apply to us. We were only staying 3 nights - Nov 17-20th, 2007 (after our DCL) and I was able to get a discount!

I got 2 rooms with standard view for three nights and 1 days worth of park hopper passes for 6 people (2 adults and 4 kids) for $1300.

My AAA agent called me today and the best deal she could get me at a moderate (CSV) was $1300 for only 2 days and no tickets!

So it pays to call, even if the ad doesn't seem like it would apply. First my dates were not listed as available on the email from Disney Visa and then I thought I had to have a 5 night stay....but I was wrong!

Hello Poohbear. My dates are almost the same as yours. We're going Nov. 9-14th and staying at either ASMu, WL, or offsite at WH. I feel like I need to decide where to stay once and for all.

Good idea! I was thinking about doing that too, but I'm afraid this code will be package-only and we have a room-only since we have an AP. I'm sure if it doesn't 'appear' you could just ask. I have had them not even ask me for the code before if it was something major that a lot of people were calling about
