November 2006 Code/Rate Watch

I just saved $395 on my vacation package w/dining. :cool1: I am sooooo excited. I was originally booked and paid in full on Disney Visa. I called with the code from mousesavers.com and saved. :cheer2: The phones are very busy @WDW tonight. Hope everyone saves a bunch. Only 96 days left till we are in WDW. :rotfl: Waiting very impatiently.

so am i reading right?
the visa discount is for the magic your way package?
because it's late, and i'm tired, and i can't think....we are staying at the POP from nov 2-nov 6. So, this discount won't work for us? Will there be any other discounts? We actually are staying at the pop on oct 27th, and then doing the halloween wonder cruise, and coming back for the other nites mentioned. Can we say that we are technically there for the 5 nites?
i was really hoping for a code that we could use!

This waiting is going to be the death of me! I am going to be a nut checking back for the GP code!!! I had luck last year but I was at CBR (seems to not be as popular as the other resorts). Hopefully there will still be rooms available at WL for this discount!

Go to www.mousesavers.com and you will see what details are available about this deal. It says THREE night minimum so you should be able to work something out.

Too early to call, but what I want to know is.......I already have mine booked through AAA. Do you think the code will still work? I will have to go through AAA, won't I? It is too late for me to cancel with them. I will try my AAA agent some time today.

Thanks all!!!! :Pinkbounc

According to this site the dates are for travel are 10/01-12/12 I am booked for 11/18/-11/26 @ All-Star Sports. The offer is for Disney Visa cardholders only but there is talk that it will come out for general public on 8/17. It is for a Disney Value Resort for a 5 night/6 day stay with a 6 day Basic Magic Your Way ticket. I'm so excited I saved $395 I want to tell everyone. The Disney Visa card is awesome, I told DH that this card would come in handy besides just getting 6 mos interest free on Disney Vacation packages. Boy was I right. He's really happy I have the card now.

I love being right.

We do not have a Disney Visa, if we apply for one, then can we get the discount? Is getting the Disney Visa worth the hassle of applying, because we have always used the NWA Visa, but if there are more benefits then getting miles, then we will switch.

I called AAA yesterday and asked them to apply the code to my package - not a problem but I did have to charge another $200 to the Disney Visa - (second deposit) -Staying at POR 11/18 for 8 nights family of 5 with dining and parkhopper tickets 8day package!
My package price came down $300!

Call your travel agent and request code ZBD (for a package) (you can go to mousesavers dot com to check out the room only code) be applied - I did - I've never been notified in my statement that there is a discount either.

Just got off the phone with Disney.
Quote with the new VISA code was $200 higher with Disney Travel than the package I booked yesterday at AAA using the new VISA code - 8 night/8day park hopper tickets with MYW with dining.
Thought that was interesting.

Hmm, that doesn't make sense. I have never head of the AAA discount being less than the Disney code. Most who have posted having the AAA rate then using the code say they saved more over the AAA rate. Am I missing something? Does AAA have their own VISA code?

I'm a little confused. I just got the disney visa discount off of a standard room at pop during value season with 10 day park hoppers. It came out to about $340 in savings. I see alot of people posting they saved 400 on there value resort packages and they are staying for less time like 7 and 8 days. Not that I'm not thrilled but why are they saving more. I was thinking maybe they had dining added and it took off some for that but I thought the discount was off of the room portion only or maybe they are staying in regular or busy season? Just confused on the differences in savings and what makes the difference.

We are at All Star Sports 11/17-11/24. We saved about $400 off of RACK PACKAGE RATE. In the end, I had booked a room only reservation with AAA discount, so the savings I am seeing is about $260. But, hey, that is $260 I was not counting on.

We are Staying at a Moderate Resort, Port Orleans Riverside, not a Value & we were able to get $400.54 discounted off our package with DIsney Visa Code.
So I Know it doesn't just apply to Value resorts.
I'm just excited to save something ! :woohoo: :tinker: :goofy: :dogdance:

Not only is there nothing in the statement, but there was nothing on the Disney Visa Website as of last night! It is almost as if this is a big secret that we shouldn't know about! :confused3

I called my AAA agent and after walking her through the process  I was able to change my package. Now I am saving $900 over rack rate!

:cool1: I just saved $504 for our upcoming trip. We'll be there Nov 17-25 - 8 nights with 9 day park hoppers and dining for two adults and two kids was $3131.18 now it is $2627.18. I almost wet myself when she told me the savings. :cloud9: Now I can go and buy me some school clothes!!! :teacher:

I do not have a Disney Visa, so should I wait the two days or so when it is open to the public, or try to apply quickly for the Visa? I am not sure how fast you could use the card once you apply??

That was my logic too, so I applied on line this AM through the WDW website. I was approved but didn't get an account number, but rather a bank reference number. It seems as though you can only use it for on line purchase through WDW's site.
I called Chase after the fact and she said she could not get me the number but put a rush on my cards and hopes they will be here tomorrow.

Meantime, I called CRO and got price quotes for 2 different packages (POR and AKL) and have to decide which to take (or rather, DH is deciding if we should upgrade or not- I already know my decision!! :goodvibes )

DISNEYNEWBEE: Maybe it is the pricing season? I got prices for my trip arriving on the last day of reg. season and it was a savings of $480 over what i was paying. Then I got a price for arriving the 1st day of value season and the savings was much smaller. I was only a savings of $203 over what I had priced out before the code came out. So maybe your season has something to do with it. I was looking at checking in on Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend or on Sunday Value VS Regular season. Since planning this trip it has been much cheaper to check in on Sunday but now with this code it worked out better to check in on Saturday! Yes I will be paying $189 more to check in a day earlier but i will be getting a room for that one extra night and dining for an extra day so it just made sense to me!
