November 2002: AKL What rate did you have room only?

I'm trying to decide if I want to try AKL and what I'll need to budget for trip this November.

If you had AKL Pool view or Savanah view, what was your discount/code rate per night? As I recall, there were some really good rates for AKL and WL. I got a great rate at WL.

If you ended up at AKL due to CBR closing, you probably got a better deal than average codes so you don't need to reply.

We had a savannah view room for $149 per night, AP rate. The non-AP codes were for $159 per night. This was early Dec but the codes applied to Nov as well.

Thanks Erikthewise...I see by your clock you're going back too. I just hate seeing 200+ days. Seems too long to wait.

If savanah was 159, pool view must have been 139 and standard 119. Hope we'll see similar good deals.

Did you enjoy AKL? I'm on the fence but there are SOOO many fans here and the choice this year is CBR.

We didn't enjoy it as much as we might have, but it was not the fault of the resort. Actually we were only there for 3 nights (split stay with BCV) and had torrential rains the first night and following morning. We had a PS at Jiko that night but passed on it as DW wanted to go DTD instead. We ended up not eating at either restaurant nor using the pool. I'd like to go back and spend more time at the resort.
