Welcome to the board! This is a great group and if you can read as much of the cruise forum and meet board before you go, you will be an "old hand" at it before your first cruise! The Nov 2 cruise is a 4 day Disney Wonder cruise. We leave on Sunday and return on Thursday. It will be awesome!! The 7 day cruise is a lot of fun, but any Disney cruise (3 or 4 day included) is better than NO Disney cruise!!! Try to get to the port early, as the cruise actually starts while you are waiting to board. Some of the characters join the throngs and there are disney cartoons on the tv's. While we are also adults (DD, DM and DDad) ranging from 30 to 84, we have a GREAT time on the Disney cruise. DCL is the only line I will go on. (Been on others and harassed by drunks and gamblers and there were no extra activities when in port) I will be the first in line for Donald and other characters and you will recognize me because I only take Disney clothes on board! (I own Disney dress jackets, sports shirts, t-shirts and even a disney bathing suit) My family thinks I am crazy, but my name says it all

it seems like most of the people on this group have their docs. i asked my travel agent if ours were in yet and she said no...that they usually don't come until 14 days before we cruise. well, we leave for WDW 5nts BEFORE our cruise and i'm getting nervous about getting them in time (from New Jersey to Illinois) so that only leaves about 6 or 7 business days between the time she thinks she'll get them and we actually leave for WDW. is this cutting it a bit close? and why would it be that our docs aren't coming for another couple of weeks when many others have their already?


ETA...ok so i called DCL and was told they actually arrive 10-14 (!!!) days beforehand. i mentioned i was worried that was cutting it close and she said that they don't expidite them, sorry. but them i mentioned that others on the same sailing date were rec'ing theirs and she said oh, it looks like yours went out yesterday. SO...it looks like they're on their way!

We have also not received our docs, but I am hoping that they will come shortly. I would love to see that everything is correct and in order with plenty of time to call if it isn't.
We are staying at the Poly for our land portion. We fly in early on the 30th so that we can try to make the most of our time at the parks.
I look forward to trying to recognize all of you guys when we are on board, kinda like trying to find the hidden Mickey's !
My dh is actually giving up the UGA vs. FL game to take this trip, what a man! I am hoping that our travel agent remembered to include the fact that we are celebrating an anniversary on our docs, since they say that may help us get a few fun extras! That would be nice!

Disdawgs - We too are staying at the Poly before our cruise, also arriving on the 30th! We are going to MNSSH party on the 31st.

Do you have any children traveling with you? I have 2 DS (14 & 10).

To Cindywith2kids, that is so cool ya'll will be at Poly! Have you stayed there before? We were there last year and loved it! We will not be traveling with our kids this time ! We are celebrating our anniversary and this will be the first time ever w/out them. We have a dd/12 and ds/4. We are not doing the MNSSHP, we are doing Fantasmic on Friday and will be watching the UGA vs FL game on Sat!
I am anxious to see which room and longhouse we will be in at the Poly. Of course, I always wish we could be upgraded to a park view, but I am not holding my breath!

We finally got our room!!! 7028 HURRAY... can't post a pic as we are scattered all over the place and my dd is the only one with a picture of the 4 of us, and she does not have time to scan it. Yesterday was my B-DAY too, so Karen you are I are b-day sisters so to speak. Hope you had a great B-day, I did and I intend on celebrating on the cruise too!!!! Any it will be here very soon
