We did this last year but booked thru Comfort Suites Paradise Island (It is located right across the street from Atlantis). You have full access to Aquaventure by staying at the Comfort Suites for a LOT cheaper. I just went on the site and the best rate is $198 for 4 people plus taxes. The only bad thing is if you don't make it to Nassau the room has to be cancelled a day or two ahead of time. With that being said, I can't remember the last time the ship couldn't made it in to Nassau. If you want more info, feel free to ask here or pm me

I forgot to add the taxi info...it wasn't too bad, I'm thinking about $6 per person. Make sure to negotiate BEFORE you get in. There are plenty of taxis at the port and Atlantis or the Comfort Suites.

Thanks for the info everyone. As it is only Kent and I, the price for the room rental at the Comfort Suites with taxes would be about the same as two walk-up day passes at $110. We also liked that we could make that decision the day we arrive in Nassau. Sometimes the weather doesn't permit a beach day. We like it HOT! It would be pretty cool to go there though.

Last year, we took the local bus out to the Wyndham Resort at Cable Beach and used their beaches/pools/towels for a day pass of about $14 per person.

That was our plan A until we watched the Amazing Race last night. Now it's the plan if we don't feel like blowing off the better part of $300 at Atantis.

I was just starting to post to ask if everyone had gotten their cruise documents yet. Because I had not gotten mine But before I could finish typing, the UPS truck came....I now have my documents in hand

I hope they come soon. We have cruised 3 times before and we always seem to get them late. In fact, when we did the land/sea package, they came the day before we left. (I sure hope that doesn't happen again.)

We got luggage tags and that little book yesterday. The truck pulled up outside and I was freaking out trying to remember what I had ordered lol! I looked at my Disney Vacation site and saw its only 20 days away for my trip to begin!

I got some pretty sad news today. I donated stem cells for a leukemia patient whom needed a transplant back in April. I learned today he passed away. I am still trying to wrap my head around it. I knew he wasn't doing well when I received the first update at 30 days. Then a son of a friend whom goes to school with my daughter has come down with the swine flu plus strep. I am considering sending my children to school in a plastic bubble until the trip lol!

I am so sorry to hear that the person you donated stem cells for has passed away. I just think it is wonderful that you donated in the first place. We need more people like you.

Also, 2 girls on my daughters soccer team have come down with swine flu. I think we may need to borrow your plastic bubble in order to stay healthy! I have done WDW with the flu and it was NO fun.

So sorry to hear of your sad news. I too, think its wonderful how you helped him. As for the flu....ITS EVERYWHERE!!!! I am keeping EVERYTHING crossed and praying alot that everyone will be healthy for the trip. As of this afternoon, both Valerie and Thomas received the flu shot and the n1h1 vaccination. We (all 3 of us) have been ill for the past week---hopefully THAT IS IT?!?!?!

Thanks everyone for your positive thoughts! I did some crying during "Biggest Looser" so hopefully it's all out!

Jodi I looked at your trip report and beautiful pics I see you had some trials on your trip too!

Being sick at WDW is no fun! Our second time there I brought a cold with me from Wisconsin. I was fine on the first day but by day 3 I was buying kleenex and cold medicine from the resort store. By day 6 I was finally feeling better. No fun! Then with us all coming home sick from our last cruise we for sure don't want to repeat that one!

Our first time to WDW we were flying Midwest going back to Wisconsin and got out on the tarmac and were in a holding pattern. It was taking a really long time. We were out there for 2 hours with no air and the captain announces "There is a broken part on the plane and we are heading back to the terminal." We are all hot and starving and my DH whom is a smoker was going crazy.

Midwest proceeds to tell us we won't be flying out that day because they don't have the part and have to fly someone in to fix it. My Dh was due to work the next day and he is freaking out. I thought they might call security on him at one point. We were down to our last dollars too lol!(because we didn't know enough to get the meal plan) So they put us up at the Hyatt at the airport and gave us some meal vouchers. The room only had one bed and a chair but we made due. Finally we got out the next day.

So I am anticipating sunshine and rainbows on this trip! I am pumping my family full of vitamin C and going to wrap them in Seran wrap tomorrow lol!

How nice to have an adults only weekend!!! ENJOY!!!! I am a divorced mother of 2(who will be on the cruise along with my neice) and actually, last year, I took my kids on a 3 night Carnival cruise just to get away and I had so much down time since the kids were active in the clubs!!! I was a bit lonely!!! But it was GREAT to get away and RELAX!!!
