Oh yeah, Lampy, when you call the "girlfriend", don't bring up the food fight.

Ya Willie, once we are sure of everyones room numbers and dining times I'll make a call.......I definately want to be late and APL......FOOD FIGHT!!!!

What dinner rotation are you all planning to request? And are you booked for early or late seating. DH, DD (10) and I are booked for late. That'd be great if we could all get the same seating close to one another! :rotfl2:

We had late seating APL last year and loved that rotation!! We would like to have that again this year. Do ya'all recommend booking the REAS package? Keep in mind, we will have our son who will be 6 at the time with us!! It seems like a lot of you are booking it.

Kris-When I was in college at U of I, Urbana (many years ago!!) a few of my friends from my dorm were from Evergreen Park!!

Yes, I recommend the REAS. It's very well worth it since you get to book your Palo and Spa ressies in advance. I do not want to miss Palo brunch, and since there are only two at sea days, I worry about the availability of that more than the dinner. We booked it last year, and our DD loved the way they'd decorated our room with the rose petals. She loved the gift basket too, (yes, we let her have the basket, but we, of course, kept the champagne, LOL!) So your 6 year-old can enjoy part of it too! (Maybe he'll enjoy the breakfast delivered to your stateroom.) I would also guess that 99% of those who book REAS have at least one child with them, after all it's Disney. I say go for it! :earsgirl:

Ahhhhhh yes, that's why we have 2 rooms booked :cool1: One for us and one for DDs

Hey Willie, I woke up this morning and looked out my patio door in the bedroom to see a bass fishing tourney going on......so tell me, when I stand on my pier and cast out I catch some 13in 1 1/2 pound large mouths.....the guy this morning caught 3, 4-4 1/2 pounders in 15 mins. casting into my pier....I thought they liked deeper water?

Lamps,

It's not that Bass like deep water, they like habitat. They're congregating around the pyramid of Miller Lite bottles at the bottom of your pier. LOL

WOOHOO!!! I feel so special and need someone to celebrate....Lampy...pop a top for me!!! :drinking1 I've finally been tagged!!! :dancer:

It sounds like ya'll have been quite busy these days! I hope you're managing to have some fun and not all work! Things are winding down here...only 15 days of school left for Nic and even less for Eric's break till summer semester! Me, I will finish mid-May with my interpreting assignments and head right into school for a week of professional development then only a few days later and we'll be heading south to see the mouse! :cool1:

Have a magical weekend!!!

Lisa -

My nephew graduated from U of I around '99 I believe. Its a great school!

My daughter has aspirations to attend there. She'll be a hs senior next year.

Kris

Hey hey -

Only 3 more days and our counters will be under the 200 mark -- finally!!!

Yippeeee!!

That is the difference between a professional angler and an angler trying to fish with one hand, and the other hand wrapped around a 12 oz. :rotfl2:

Actually, those big fish are probably moving in shallow getting their spawning beds ready. Your bass spawn should be getting going right now. Down here, ours was mostly in March.(Warmer water temps) Those big females will be up in really shallow water for a short period, laying eggs, then protecting the nest. So you should cast a big worm or lizard near the bank in shallow water, and fish it very very slow. Or, you may be able to catch them "staging". This is in the 6-9 foot water, probably around your dock. That is when they are just about to begin the spawn. That is probably what the tournament guys were doing.
Man, I miss tournament fishing! Gotta get my rig out to the lake soon!

Willie

Doogie, I got pretty good at catchin' those 12oz. bottle bass...... :rotfl2:

Congrats on being tagged "Momsgoofy" :cool1:

Lampy, you will have the best time at Sandusky!! Eric, Nic and I loved it when we were there a few years ago! Where else can ya visit an amusement park with so many coasters...Millenium Force is the Rolls Royce of coasters IMO...you can grab a boat and head over to Put-in-Bay....your kind a party Lampy  and drive an hour and be at the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. We dubbed that vacation the "Rock 'n' Roll Thrill Fest Road Trip". Think of us while your there!!

Hey, KennyK...a question for ya since you work at the Disney store...when do ya'll tend to put out your Christmas merchandise? I'm pre-planning our Christmas trip to WDW and am thinking about buying stockings and such to take for us...and of course I'll need some Disney ones. Any insight would help! Thanks!

Well, ya'll take care and try to have a good week!

Ken-Thank you soooo much!! we would love a large lumpy!! Please let me know what info you need from us. Our email address is icemanpad@aol.com. Thanks for remembering!!
:cool1:

Laura, yes, Put-in-bay is a definate night stop for myself and Kim and a few friends. The New Orleans of the north :rotfl2: . Other than that I "volunteer" to watch the dog by the camper :rotfl2: Nothing but bean bags and horseshoes....and then some nascar and Indy.....and yes, pleanty of miller lite...

:worship: :worship: OMgoodness you are going to ride the Millenium??!! and the probably you are going to ride the Dragster, omgosh i've got to sit down. oh my i'm already sitting down.....

 I used to pride myself of being a roller coaster, y'know' ummmm. gung ho, i'll try anything..... but then came Mission Space and Millenium and now i'm a PROUD self-proclamed fuddy-duddy!!! nope!! no sirree!! none of that for me!

did i mention I LOVE the BEAST and SPACE MOUNTAIN! oh my gosh now I know why my 7th grader is so way embarassed :rolleyes1

icemanpad -- we booked REAS for convenience of pre-booking spa and Palo ( totally missed a great lunch interaction with Captain Hook last time standing in line for these ressies) and hey a champagne brekkie will be icing on the cake (we have DD's ages 13 and almost 9 and cruise date)

you guys I went on Expedia for grins and saw only Cat 4 left!! eek! what does that say to you? did you cruise full ship last thanksgiving? we have only cruised once, first week of Dec and ship was not full so re-assure me! please! i know the cruise will be awesome; just worried about spousal-non-crowdal issues

OhMom,
Yes, the Magic was pretty much full last Thanksgiving. But I never once felt like I was "overcrowded". And I am probably like your husband in that regard. I am not a big fan of being packed like a sardine. The fact that it did not seem overcrowded, even tho we were full ship, was one reason I re booked. I never had a problem getting a chair to sit in the sun and read on sea days. Never had a problem getting a seat at the shows.
And on Castaway Cay, we Dis'ers had a section of the beach pretty much all "DIS". What we did on CC days was some of us guys got off the ship early, and we went all the way down to the far end of the family beach. We had our pick of beachfront chairs and umbrellas. We even had a hammock for us to share. We kicked back and enjoyed the quiet at the beach til the ladies and kiddos showed up. It was great having DIS friends all around.
