1 post in 3 days.....looks like you all must have had the freat weather we had yesterday....60's and sunny...Yes Doogie I took the vette out!!! One bad thing about a black car....I have to wsh it every time I drive it!!!! No such weather luck here today, it was in the 50's this morning with a sw wind now my flag behind the house is slowly switching to the north, know what that means all you Texans? Cold air comming from the north over that big body of water (lake michigan)....lake effect snow. 50's this morning and forcasting 11 tonight!!!!

Went ahead and booked airfare thru Continental. I had said that if it went below $300, I was booking. We are NS from Houston for $290 PP. We are flying down Thursday nite and staying Thursday-Friday at Hard Rock Hotel. Going to hit Universal/Islands of Adventure, and of course, Margaritaville.
I probably could get a little better air by waiting, but I am tired of watching the darn rates... And I wanted to be on the flights with the 757's. This past year we flew home on the 767 and it was really nice.

Now I just have to hope that Hayley and Haylee don't have a high school basketball game on the schedule for that Friday night! I will give the coach a heads up when school begins so he can work his game schedule out.

Also reserved the Romance at Sea package. I really enjoyed that last year. The breakfast in bed was cool. And I enjoyed the couples massage.

Anyone have ideas yet about shore excursions? It would be cool if we could coordinate and do some stuff together at Grand Cayman and Cozumel. We had a great time doing the snorkel trip at GC last year. Not really interested in seeing HELL, ... just yet..... GC was kind tore up...

Willie

Willie, Kim has been all over me to do Universal. The last 4 years we stay at WDW, you know my "girlfriend" takes real good care of us. I might start looking into transportation to Universal. But, don't know if Jessica will want to miss another day of school. She s missing school!! I'm holding off on the airfare, usually purchase it in June or July and definately flying out of Indy.....Don't book your GC excursions just yet, I'm told it is still 50/50. Feedback has been horrible from cruisers since the hurricane.
I'm not going to hell this year either....no miller lite :rotfl2:

Lampy, you guys can come do US/IOA with us that Friday. Have you been there? Those are two of my favorite parks. Just get rooms at Hard Rock(or Portofino) so that you can get Express Pass to front of the lines.

I really would not mind seeing Costa Maya. But right now they are still showing us for GC. I know that can change at any time!

No Miller Lite at Hell? Good thing I am a praying man!

Willie

Never been there Willie, Kim keeps prodding but you know me....I people :rotfl2: and lines are even worse.....I must investigate the "transfer" thing. And yes Willie, no beer in hell......I must cange my ways..... :love1:

Lampy,
Kelli booked a limo from Hard Rock to Port and then from Port to Airport. It was only $225 with Tiffany. With tip $270. You can get a van for less. But the girls had alot of fun riding in the limo. Of course I know you celebs like Ron Bon Jovi get FREE transfers, but not us peons.

Willie

We're flying down on Thursday also. Staying two days at WDW at the Wilderness Villas. We rented a SUV from Budget. They have the closest car return center to the port and provide shuttle bus back to port.

We drop off family, bags first, return car, and take shuttle bus back. By time I get back to terminal, wife has already checked us in and I just walk up to CM, show ID and they hand me my KTTW card.

Family is already in line, so get to eat all the shrimp in Parrot Cay and make our Palo's ressies early.

Last time I even got to swim in the pool before the cruise.

Airfare is still high from NY, but have mine already also. Still need to get daughters and grandsons. I just see airfares going up higher because of the fuel costs. Look at those gas prices.

Ken

:rotfl2: @ Willie.......You'd think after 4 sailings (with 2 more booked) 1 cancellation and all the $$$ spent on the ship I could get a little somethin' somethin' :confused3 ....Every trip has benn so perfect I hate to try something different......hey don't tell anyone Willie but don't forget about the BC the night before  Transfers are just sooooooo convenient!!!! Well gotta go it's Jessicas 15th b-day today and our "family" party of 70 will be here Saturday.....need to get the bar ready.....looks like it's going to be in the 20's that means everyone inside on Kims "new" carpet and furnature.....with all the little ones luck....LOL

Which BC? the Beach Club? Man, come stay at the Hard Rock with us! I might get special treatment with a "celebrity" with me!

Hello all!

Just want to let you fellow Turkey Cruisers from 2004 know that I finally got my photos from the crusie up at ofoto...been having a more crazy than usual...even for me...life...Dad has 3 compression fractures...didn't know he has oestoporosis when the pulmonologist gave him steroids for the pulmonary fibrosis last November and he weakened his bones quickly...so I was staying with him for a while and on 2/17 he had a TIA...hospital, rehab center and now he's in an assisted living facility...hopefully for a few months and then back to his house. But things are working out so far at the assisted living...only been there since Monday..so we'll see.

If you'd like to see the photos send me an email if you've got the address or PM me here and I will send you an invitation to share them at ofoto.

BTW, I just caught Teresa (Silver7) online...she's just arrived at OKW with the family and is headed to Epcot tomorrow. I'm sure she will be posting here with your thread.

Hope all is well with everyone...I wish we were going on the cruise with ya'll...see that Texan influence...but I think we will have a great time at SSR for Christmas...Teresa helped me convince Nic that staying for Christmas day was a good thing...I can't wait for all the Holiday magic.

Take Care, ya'll!!!

Laura,
I saw where your Dad has pulmonary fibrosis. Kelli's Grandfather had that a few years ago. It was pretty rough.

Willie

Here come the snow!!!!!!!!!!! Yuk!!!!! Ya Willie BC was "taken care of" last year also...hehehehehehe I'll just take some time to see when we go......

Looks like it MUST be getting warmer....everyone is losing interest!

It is a beautiful day here in SE Texas! Sunshine and mid 70's! Gonna be a great weekend. I may be able to get some grass mowed. We have had alot of rain this winter, so grass growing like crazy.
Sat nite may warm up the hot tub.... :sunny:

Willie

Thanks Willie!!!! Snow, snow and more snow here!!! Oh for some :sunny: :sunny:

more snow here in ohio! brrrr :cold: :cold: :cold: and i'm tired of it!! i have a 10 mile walk scheduled tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. - you TXns think of me ok?

i found it funny in a low key way that so many of you are going down thursday - that was a very last minute decision for us and i was like 'aha' we'll go thursday and you smarty-pants already had that master plan figured out! :rolleyes1 thanks to bfosbenner renting us some DVC pts - we'll be staying at the BW thursday night and spending friday at DQ. who mentioned DCL 'took care of him' prior to cruises, did you get a free room??? :confused3

molli

Hi Molli -

Snow here in Chicago, too :-(

And soooo cold -- really tired of winter!

Aren't we all?

Kris

I am at WDW at OKW right now. The high today is supposed to be 74 with sunny skies. Not hardly any crowds here --the longest we have had to stand in line was 15 minutes! Walked on to RNR yesterday--going to MK today.

Havin a great time wish you were here!

Teresa

ps

the first part of the bill in the texas legislature passed. If it goes through the senate we will have to postpone our trip. DS17 cannot miss that much of school. Our schools pile on the work big time in high school--You would not believe what he had to go through this year to miss one day for the last cruise. But if we do postpone the trip we would probably change it the 10 day over Christmas 2006!
