We're even closer to the lake than you, yamahaboy, although I can't say that we are really that close to the lake -- and we are only predicted to get about 8". So you will probably get less. You're a lot further west than us.

Hi Everone!
DS and i just got back from our local skihill!
Our kids were off school today from the 6" we received yesterday/lastnight
DS -got some "big air" then learned about "Gravity"
Hurt his shoulder and head. but he will be OK...the kids there said Cool...WOOA!...DUDE!!
On the wipeout scale i grade it a 6!
I asked him if he learned anything. i did not get an answer, but i was hoping for "i won't do that again or i need a helmet..." Sigh!

I did good, going faster, under control, and no wipeouts. i even beat my son down the hill on our last run.
We are on the fence here, expecting rain /ice only 3 inchs of snow Saturday.

SOOO Mexico invades Texas, and Texas invades the Caribbean.
Where are the Buckeyes!
I suspect only 6 more weekends for good ski weather left for Cincinnati, so we will be at it until....

i've been lurking, haven't had much to say I guess! i'm tucked in for the weekend too, starting noon tomorrow we have had only 2 or so inches with another 2-4" predicted tomorrow, seems like nothing compared!

sooooo...........on this port conversation? rumor? likely??? i looked at the site and seemed more natural, less commercialized maybe? i can only dream.............

did anyone do Palo brunch on thanksgiving last year? trying to get my REAS requests in order

Well, You mid-westerns are not the only ones who get SNOW!!!, we are in a blizzard watch for tomorrow, starting around noon. They're predicting 24 + inches for us on Long Island by the storms end sometime Sunday. They expect drifts to 5 + feet. Wind chill right now is -5, It was 11 deg at 9:00pm.

We'll just build a fire and stay in side. I Hate the COLD!!!

I am looking out my window as the snow is falling heavily. 8" to 14" depending on rain change over for a time since we are on the coast.

Remembering the warm breeze of Tulum.

We did an add on for SSR!

* * * * * * * * Well it started here on Long Island, The roads are covered * * * * * * *already, Temp in mid teens (14) no wind yet to speak of, that is for tonight. The TWC is calling it a "Winter Wopper" anyone for a hamburger.

I know we can't compete with the snow belt in Indiana. I know all about that, one of my sons went to college in Valparasio.

Those icy treks to pick him up in the middle of winter, Burr!!!

How I look forward to that relaxing rock, sitting in a chair, watching the water rush by the warm temps drinking a nice cool drink listening to my Disney music and soaking up the sun.

Oh well I can dream can't I.

it snowed about 5 inches so far here...andother 3-6 of lake effect snow....so 8-11 all 2geather...make some money from snowblowing driveways! lol i get sick of reg work some times. so i dont go

I NEED CASTAWAY CAY!!! Its freezing and snowing. I guess about 8 inches or so. I am dreaming of a hammock and a konk kooler. Oooooh, or a cabana massage. Come on countdown, move faster.... I am done with winter.

You're not the only one. I just came back in, Had to go pickup son's girl friend at the local mall. She works at Yankee Candle, They had her come in at 2:00 and then the County declared a "Snow Emergency". Mall Closed, Workers go home. Since I drive an all wheel drive vehicle, Dad got elected to pick her up and take her home.

Roads are horrible, we probably have 4 + inches on the ground already and it only started to snow here at noon, can you say an inch an hour and this isn't the big storm yet. 2 ft of snow here we come.

That lounge chair at CC with a nice drink sure sound good to me, I can't wait for my 90 days to go by so I can head south to the warmth.

I was thinking of you, did you go to the comic convention in NYC. They mentioned it this morning on NBC Today Show.

If you all watch the news and see that line of precipitation come right down Lake Michigan.....look real close.....that's me waving at the satellite with one hand and a miller lite in the other......White out conditions now and getting worse later on......
