November 18, 2006 Thanksgiving Magic Special Western 2X Castaway Cay 11/18/06

Wow, Mollygirl you are on top of things!!! I assume you will be at the 8:30 adult dinner. We do not know our room number yet. We are hoping for the 8:15 seating. That is what we have had for the last two cruises and we loved it.

We just got my daughter a new pirate dress. A friend stumbled upon it at a disney discount store. We are still trying to figure out what princess dresses to bring. She wants all of them, but then mom and dad would have no room for their clothes.

Diszygram that is great of your sister. We are 15 min from the airport and 20min from the Disney Maingates so we are often a hotel. But we love the company.

Icemanpad the cruise will definately be a great break for you.

I have started the list with room #'s and seating times.

Hey Turkeys 2006! Yall had better get to posting if you want to top last years Turkeys. That thread had 5,134 posts! The Turkey 2007 thread is plodding along. Maybe some of you will rebook while onboard for 2007. It truly is a great week to be aboard the Magic!

And don't EVEN get me started about the tradition on the Turkey Bon Jovi's that you will need to keep up with....

Can yall at least all wear DIS Lime Green to the sailaway party?????

Ya gotta! Last year there were over one hundred lime green shirts at sailaway.

I wish you guys as awesome a sailing as we had for 2004 and 2005!

Willie, I just ordered two of the light green Disney Mickey polo shirts for my daughter and I. They are the world's worse color for us but I will make the sacrifice for the Disney group. ::yes::

I have a lime green Tinkerbell shirt that I will be wearing and my daughter might be wearing her green and white Tinkerbell dress unless she is not in the mood that morning....ahh nothing like a two year old dressing themselves

That was Diszygrams list that I just edited a bit. I have removed the two names from list that I saved on my computer so I can add more info when others chime in.

Diszygram you may want to edit your list and remove those names as well.

Has anyone read the ?'s for recent Western Cruisers. Apparently on the last Westernthat did GC and Cozumel they changed pirate night from Weds. to Tues. OH NO!!! for those who booked Palo on Tues. I decided to email DCL and see if they could tell us if this is the case for our Nov. cruise....figured I would go to the source instead of freak out.

Michelle-

Please let us know what DCL says about Pirate night. We booked Palo for tuesday night. Thanks!!

Lisa

I removed the two names from the list. :sad2: :( We'll just make the most of those people we still have. :)

That's the spirit, DiszyGram! pirate:

Makes you wish you were going, doesn't it willie? of course we will be sure to post live updates from the boat. and yes, i had a long chat w/John.

Chuck :cool1:

Icemanpad,

It appears as though we are safe. It looks like the Oct.7 cruise changing of Pirate night was a one time thing. According to the folks at DCL we are scheduled to depart Cozumel at 9:3opm. This means Pirate Night stays on Wednesday.

Thankgoodness, now we only need to work on changing our Palo Brunch from Thursday to Tuesday. We will have three unhappy girls if they do not get to go to the Princess Party.

If I get an email response from DCL letting me know anything else I will let you know.

Okay so I got the response back from DCL :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc and if you didn't guess it is great news. I am pasting it in below. Keep in mind I gave them our cruise date...of course they put in the official disclaimer.

Dear Michelle,

Thank you for choosing a Disney Cruise Line Vacation!

Based on your itinerary, Pirate Night takes place on Wednesday, your day
at Cozumel. However, please keep in mind that all scheduled theme
nights are subject to change.

I hope this information has been helpful. If you require further
assistance in planning your visit, please feel free to contact us.

We look forward to sailing with you! Have a Magical Day!

Even though it will be my third Disney cruise, this will be my first Pirate Night. :bounce: My son made a great CD of our last cruise and Pirate Night was in it. I got to see how much fun everyone was having, while I was sleeping.

Looks noisey enough to keep me awake. pirate: aaaaargh!

Well there is pretty much just 3 weeks left until we board the Magic. Hopefully a few more Disers will be checking in. Almost time for those Docs to start arriving.

I went and checked out items to decorate our table with at Pirate Night. I am almost done with the first of four pillows for autographs. The rest will be much quicker. This one has oover 20 designs. The rest will be simple.

Door signs are half done and door decorations are ready to be laminated.

Now must start on packing. How is everyone else coming along.

I took my daughter to the Magic Kingdom to get a haircut. She kept telling everyone in the barbershop she was cutting her hair for Mickey. It made everyone laugh.

I know that Icemanpad, Diszygram, and one other (sorry I forgot your screen name) is interested in a DISmeet. Anyone else? :confused3

We know where everyone is coming from. Thought I would start with what everyone does in order to get to know each other a bit more before the trip.

I am a part-time teacher (Physics and Physical Science in a high school) and spend the rest of the time chasing around a 2 year old. My husband works in Television and Film.

Anyone else want to share??

See y'all really soon.

3 weeks to go....... :hourglass
I remember the day well when my husband and I booked our first DIsney Cruise. It was a very cold day in March 2005 and I thought that Nov 2006 was forever away!!!
I am already in my packing stages (but to be fair hubby and I are going to Disney World next week for a 3 day trip including a Disney Wedding  )
I have my door signs already made. I am very proud of them so if you are on our deck please stop by Rooms 6072/6074 to see our signs! I was so excited that I made them 6 months ago.
Pillowcases are done along w/ Pirate Night costumes. ***Can someone please tell me what things you decorate your table with!!!I didn't know about that but I still have time to get something***
This is my 1st Disney Cruise. Has anyone ever cried when they saw the ship?? I already have my Kleenex packed.
I am an x-ray tech & I specialize in Mammography. Hubby is an RN by trade but he is an Administrator for a Surgery Center in Trenton, NJ.

My daughter has our room number but all I know right now is that the cabin is on deck 2, located right next to where the two ends of the ship were joined together (mid ship) and our port hole will be facing the beach when we dock at Castaway Cay. Last time it looked out at the ocean side.

I recently retired from the public library system. Many people think we are all librarians. I am not a librarian, but was the nice lady who tells you your books are late. Of course it was my fault because no one called to say they were due back yesterday. :teeth:

My daughter works for the government and I help her out a lot now with my 7 year old grandson. She has a free sitter if she has to work late or wants to go out dancing with friends.

I have two door signs made up now and I'm pleased about how they turned out.

This time I am promising myself I won't wipe out my door key card again by sticking it in my pocketbook with the cute Disney magnets I just bought.

The two green Disney shirts with the small Mickey logo on them came today.
My daughter and I will have the matching shirts on when we meet, and will have a slender, blond haired, 7 year old boy with us.

Gail :hourglass <---- time is moving faster now.

So far the only thing we have ready for the cruise (except for the excitement) are matching dis green t-shirts that we bought from disneyshopping. Hopefully, we will make a magnet/door sign for our door. Tomorrow after our son's 7 year old annual exam and soccer game we are going to look for a halloween/pirate costume for our ds!! :thumbsup2

Both Chuck and I are attorneys. Our DS thinks he is an attorney as well---he loves to debate any issue at all!! :rotfl2:

Lisa

I can tell you what I am doing for our Pirate table. We have four kids sitting at a table (2-2yo, 3yo, and 5yo) so I am making little "goodie bags" for them. Better known as keep you occupied for the two hour dinner. I am collecting pirate stickers, eyepatches, and little pirate goodies that I get after halloween.

Mollygirl, you are going to love the Disney Wedding. They are very elaborate and if it is at the wedding pavillion the view is incredible. We went to one a few years ago. Though the couple said they would never do the Cinderella coach again. Apparently being in a glass bubble in the Florida sun is a bit hot. However, looks like you are going to have very nice pleasant weather next week.

Well i must get back to making my doorsigns.
