November 18, 2006 Thanksgiving Magic Special Western 2X Castaway Cay 11/18/06

Anyone get their docs yet? I saw the post that they were going out on Wednesday. I did do the online check in, but the trip will feel a lot closer when I have those docs in my hands. :yay:

We're leaving for Florida two weeks from today..... actually we should be landing at MCO about this time. Then off to the Wilderness Lodge for the night.

ED, will you be meeting us at the sailaway party? We are leaving two weeks from today also. Doesn't seem possible it's so close now.

I do know for myself that time moves faster the older you get. :hourglass

Gail,

We will certainly try to find everyone. We won't be wearing lime green though..... I'm having a really tough time picturing my mother and father in lime green tee shirts :rotfl: Not going to happen!! The five of us will be wearing yellow lanyards, so be on the lookout for us.

I can't believe it is this close, and I definitely agree that time moves faster the older you get!! We booked this while we were on the August repo cruise last year (actually booked it the day before we went through the Panama Canal). We have not even started getting things ready to pack because DW has to go to Los Angeles this Sunday on a 4 day business trip, and that is kind of taking priority at the moment. There's always next weekend!

:cheer2:   :cheer2:

We are doing the doc dance. All of the people we are traveling with recieved theirs today as well. Now keep in mind we are right near the Cruiseline Office they are sent from.

Greengirl8 and Outahere don't forget to post your room (deck) and dinner info if you want it added to the list.

We are in room 7520 according to our luggage tags. Just a few hours more than two weeks before we board the magic.

Outahere we will watch for your plan overhead. I live 10 min from Orlando International.

:wizard: Hope others get their Docs as well.

If we circle over that direction, I'll be sure to wave. :wave2: We'll be on a Jetblue plane.

Michelle, we'll be flying in on Southwest Friday. I'll try waving but you'll be difficult to spot. Kissimmee has grown tremendously since I first saw it in 1973. :teeth: It was barely a town then.

Ed, my brother-in-law is from Mass. Hope you sound just like him. :)

We received our docs today too!!! :cool1: :cool1: 2 weeks from today we will be driving up to Port Canaveral. We will be staying at the new residence inn. The first time we sailed the Magic, we drove up the morning of the cruise, but I felt very nervous. Last year and this year we decided to stay near the Port the night before boarding!! There is a great Ron Jon nearby!! :thumbsup2

PS - if this is a duplicate post, sorry, but the server warped out on the first attempt so we don't know if it hit.

Lisa, just shows you are twice as excited. I'm one of those people who always arrives early wherever I go. Gets me front row seats in some situations. :teeth:

Is my banana dancing on top of my smiley face when the rest of you see my last post? It wasn't planned. :rotfl2:

Sorry........ but I'm not originally from Mass. I've lived all over the country, so I really don't have a Mass accent. Kind of a mix of Mass, Pittsburgh, midwest and southern accents. Hmmmm...... wonder if anyone can really understand me, or are they just agreeing with me to shut me up??
:confused3

Hello Magic travelers! A huge group of Dis'ers are on the Magic 11/11/06 cruise and I just popped in to say :wave2: Not sure if we'll pass you on the load - unload since this is my first cruise - but I know how excited I am - so I know you must be too!!!

Have a great trip! (Maybe you can catch a live trip report from someone on our cruise?) I believe Woody73 will be posting one!

This is our first cruise. My SIL booked through AAA.

Will our documents be sent from Disney to AAA and then forwarded to us or does Disney send them directly to us? Our family lives in NJ and PA. Our AAA Agent has not been too helpful. She couldn't tell me how much our onboard credit is. My SIL doesn't remember what the deal was when she booked this trip in Feb 2005. I guess I will have to wait until we board. If our documents go to the AAA Agent, I want to call her on Monday and check to see if she received the documents.

My family (DH, DD-9, DS-8 and myself) are flying to Orlando on Thursday (Nov 16th) from Newark. My kids are really getting excited. I keep giving my kids the countdown. I am trying to read as many tips as possible so we are prepared. This site has been so helpful and everyone has been really nice. We can't wait for the trip!

I just feel I should jump in now, so people don't think we've fallen off the face of the earth!! we don't have our docs yet, but it seems like we may get them Monday. After 9 months waiting for this trip to get here I'm finally ready to start getting excited (I was controlling myself!!)

Two weeks from now we'll be sailing

njdisneymomof2-
1) Your docs should be sent directly to you. They will be coming UPS. If you are not home they should be left at your door. So look for a white envelope at your doorstep.

2) I believe you can call Disney Cruise Line directly and they can tell you the amount on your shipboard account and any other notes connected with your reservation. I do not have the 800 number, but there is one for DCL. I only know the local number.

The Ducks-
Will you be spending two days at WDW or what will you be doing with the extra time.

Everyone else, don't forget we are trying to plan a DIS Meet at the sailaway party. Let us know if you plan on attending and what to look for. Remember you can go to homedepot and get the bright green paint chips and turn them into a necklace, or barette or whatever you can think of. I know iceman pad and I will be in lime green shirts.

Also, if you want me to update you on the list once you
get your docs let us know your stateroom number or deck number and dinner time.

So this is not our best phoo, but I thought finding a Thanksgiving one was fitting. This was from our Nov. Cruise last year.

Hello Everyone,

I am so excited and so nervous  at the same time. I travel alone all the time but never on a cruise. I went on a Princess Cruise with my Mom and Sister last year and except for meals, excursions and at night we each did our own thing during the day. So I figure...I can do this! I can go on a cruise alone and have fun! :joker: Ok, I admit it...I'm scared that it will be awkward.

When I learned a week ago that I was getting some extra time off for Thanksgiving and that my Mom wasn't hosting Thanksgiving this year, she's not feeling well, I immediatly looked into booking this Disney Cruise. I love Disney  , I love cruises  , and I love kids  ...so I thought this would be a great cruise for me.

I would love to connect with anyone that is going solo or any couples, friends or families that love to have fun and would love a new friend :wave2: .

I hope to hear from you soon!

Andrea

I forgot to mention...I lived for a year on Cayman if you have any questions. Maybe I can help!

Thanks!

Andrea

Hi Andrea and welcome to the cruise. :wave2: Make sure you go to the sailaway paty and look for the green shirts. It's the best way to meet everyone.

Looking forward to it. I have one suitcase packed and things piled up for the other one. Those plastic travel bags you can buy that compress your clothes into a small package are great. You put them in and roll the bag up to get rid of the air.

Gail

It's great to see all of the posts!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 2 weeks from today we will be docking at Castaway Cay!!!!! :sunny: :cool1:

Michelle-Great family picture!! Chuck and I have a picture w/ Pilgrim Mickey too. Mason was at an activity at the Oceeneer Club at the time so he is not in the picture. I will see if Chuck can post it.
