So the forecast for Saturday is not looking as pretty anymore according to the local ews. The high is going to be low 70 says that guy on the ABC new a few moments ago. I know that is warm to most of you...but chilly to me.

Hurray! We are leaving tomorrow. We'll leave home about 11:30, pick up DD from school and drive down to Philly, catch a 4:00 PM flight to Orlando. We're staying at the Fairfield Inn Airport.

I'd better go dump everything in the suitcase. I have about a hundred piles of stuff all over the house I need to gather up! I'm so excited!!!!!!

See y'all on Saturday. We probably won't be at the Dis meet, we'll be somewhere in front of a TV watching the big game.......Go Buckeyes!

We are now in the middle of that glorious of tasks - packing. Since we waited for the last minute to actually start packing, ie after Survivor ended, it looks to be a long night ahead. Of course i have it a bit easier than Lisa b/c my suit, sports coat, shirts and slacks are still in their dry cleaner bags, and i dont have to try on a multitude of different outfits to figure out which ones to take. Then of course are all the "essential" odds and ends and i think we need an extra suitcase just for the shoes. And, since we are heading up to port canaveral tomorrow night, we need to pack our "carry on bag" - translated large duffel on wheels - for tomorrow night plus all the usual carry on stuff. and then their is the portable cooler on wheels. we are tired of paying disney for the case of water so we are bringing our own + a few extras. so hopefully we wont forget anything....LOL

We had this great idea this year...we went out and bought a supersized duffel b/c it will collapse and fit under the bed while our largest suitcase will not...well, we filled the duffel, but as someone once said (was it stienbeck?) about the best laid plans of mice and men....then Lisa determined we still needed the big suitcase anyway...and then there is the suit carrier...and the duffel for carry on...and the portable (and collapsible) cooler which is now filled w/a case of water..and the beach bag...and whatever else gets added by tomorrow morning....but michelle has us beat on the door signs..we only have two 8 1/2 by 11 magnetic ones...they will have to do

and as to that football game during the sailaway party...as much as i like football, i'll forego a quarter for the sailaway party, as it is worth it...besides, maybe disney can be convinced to show the game on the deck nine screen instead of the usual sailaway stuff....then everyone can watch the game and attend the party...besides, this is a rare down year for our hurricanes so the season has long been over for us.

now back to packing...

We finished our packing last night. Now we just have a relaxing evening of anxiously awaiting the time to leave for the port.

Chuck my DH is with you...he loves football but would rather take pictures of our DD at the sailaway. He says he can watch the highlights later.

Well to those left safe travels and we will meet at the port.

Lisa, I know I went overboard (no pun intended) on the signs, but I had so much fun making them.

Don't forget we will have a DISmeet at the sailaway on Deck 10 above the stage on the side that is facing the port.

Hi to those who haven't left yet! We leave for the airport in about 3 hours, and I'm almost done with my packing (just waiting on a few things from the dryer) I am VERY pleased with myself as I have everything for the 3 of us (me-Caroline, DH-Mark and DD-Brittany) in one small, one medium and one not very large suitcase! We each have a small carry on bag and I'm DONE! (I have packed an extra soft bag in case I'm not quite so "magical" packing to come home!)

We're staying at the Hyatt at the airport tonight. We have late dinner seating and are on deck 6.

This will probably be our last post until we are on board as we will be leaving to head to the port w/in the hour. for those of you who are at the terminal before noon, feel free to say hello as we will be very easy to spot given my height at 6'8". - not to mention our picture at reply #174 courtesy of willie form last year's turkey day gang.

We are also originally from Chicago. We moved to Florida in 1998, but both my husband and I were born and raised there.

Dizsygram I actually found travel packets of detergent (I think Tide) at Wal-mart in the area where they keep all their travel (sample) size stuff.

Icemanpad, I am so glad your reservations are fixed. I had faith they would be.

I just finished loading my signs to my husband's thumb drive. I ended up doing 19 signs. We will have one decorated door that is for sure.
