November 17, 2012 TURKEY Cruise

The FE Organizer is on vacation at the Mouse House so I'm sure she will chime in about the FE and how the list will be distributed when she returns. Kristin was the FE organizer for the last cruise I was on (an August Dream double-dip) and she did a wonderful job arranging it. On that cruise it was so big we agreed to be split into two groups and then after she split the groups up she emailed the list out to people in the group. She didn't post the particulars (real names, email addresses, etc) on the meet thread for privacy reasons. These days we have to be careful about who has our information out there in cyberspace!

As for the Facebook Page, I realized when looking back a few pages that the person who created it, BBQMommy, has dropped the cruise. So I guess no one has been administering it lately. What I went ahead and did was to click the button that allowed me to be an administrator of it. What you need to do is to send me a PM with your real name so that I can be on the lookout for your friend request on our closed group. The link to that Facebook page was posted by castoff at the top of post 2 page 1. Again, for obvious privacy concerns, I'm not going to add anyone onto the FB page that isn't connected to someone who is a member of our meet group -- so if you want to join and want to add someone in your party who is cruising with you, please give me their real name too so I can be adding you both when the request pops up.

How fun! A cruise is a great way for a large family to vacation. THey are so many options for all ages.

We are trying to talk my brother and is girlfriend into joining our group (my family + my parents), but we are currently losing the battle. Apparently, he would rather go duck hunting... I do think they are going to join us for a couple days at WDW post-cruise.


I'm so sorry... it sounds like you need a mini vacation! Congratulations on not letting yourself get caught up in the negative and making your own magic happen! I can't wait to see your new FE!


Hi, Beth! I sent my information to Kristin a couple of weeks ago, but I never heard anything back from her. I wonder if it would be possible to post everyone who has currently responded so we can check to make sure our names got on the list? With all the server updates, I know a lot of things have disappeared.

On another note, I also requested to join the FB page, but haven't gotten access, yet. I would love to be able to follow along on FB, too!

Yeah, we all did a Carnival cruise a few years ago now and it was a blast. It is nice to get all of them together and create memories for us and the kids.

I personally liked the casino for "night life" on the Carnival cruise but I won't miss it all that much on this cruise. There looks like there is so much to do!

I am not sure if I mentioned that we have another person joining us on this cruise. Terri-Leigh, she is our au pair who is definitely going to enjoy the Disney "Cultural Experience". Terri-Leigh will be turning 19 on the day we set sail - November 17th

Does anyone know what the dinner is like on Thanksgiving on the ship? I certainly hope that it isn't like the "Thanksgiving Dinner" at WDW on Thanksgiving...

Ugh. The food on that plate looks like the school cafeteria's offerings!

Yep! Just like school food actually. That was at the Concourse Steakhouse and was, at the time, the worst meal I ever had at WDW. However, that was topped in Epcot at Mexico a couple nights later when the waiter gave my 13yr old niece a Martguerita.
