November 15, 2008 7 night Western 11/15/08 11-15-08

OK, Luggage is out.....we're leaving in 2.5 weeks  We bought new luggage, but not DH and I are at war about how much luggage we need to bring. Do you think 1 large and 3 medium luggage is too much?? Plus carry-ons? LOL. It's just so hard with having to pack a suit, formal dress and evening outfits.

Does anyone have a good packing list? I'm struggling already! There is just one formal night, correct? I'm used to two formal nights on RCL. We have our pirate costumes ready.

Cute pics, Laura!!! Thanks for sharing! Did you take those pics of the kids? If so, you're an awesome photographer!!!
Yes, I did. Thanks! I decided to not bring my big camera on the cruise this time, so I'm not going to get some great shots......but figured the photographers on the ship will help me out with that! I just wanted to enjoy this trip and not worry (and drive kids and DH crazy) with trying to get "perfect" shots. So we're bringing the point and shoot :scared1:

I received my docs on Thursday and couldn't get to sleep until 2:00 a.m.

I found out we can only take one suitcase apiece on Delta. Last cruise we were on Southwest and could take up to three. We each took two. We are spending five nights in Orlando after the cruise. Any packing tips would be helpful. My DH is laughing. He thinks I should have this down as my DD and I spent three weeks last summer in Europe with only backpacks. This is sooo different!!

Thanks for the tips!!

Hello everyone...just wanted to introduce ourselves. We're on the 11/15 Western and I've been keeping up with the thread to some extent, just haven't posted until now.

Jessica and I have been on two previous Disney cruises...
Nov 2002 Western, the week of Thanksgiving...(our honeymoon)
Nov 2005 Eastern, the week after Thanksgiving

The first two were without kids, and now we'll be bringing our daughter Rosalynn. The day we embark, Nov 15, will be Rosalynn's 2nd birthday. The day we disembark, Nov 22, will be our 6th anniversary. So, this will be another celebratory cruise for us.

If you see us around, say hi!

Alex, Jessica & Rosalynn

Rosalyn is a dolly!!!! What a fun way to celebrate!

There is certianly no shortage of cutie pies on this cruise!

Laura, your kids are just sparkly!

I haven't taken the time to firgure out how to post photos and since we're at the 10 day mark...it's unlikely I'll get around to it. You'll know us by the green bracelets and we are all fairly tall and blonde. I'll likely be wearing red. :rotfl:

Welcome and Rosalynn is absoultely adorable. Watch out, my Trevor (will be 15 months at 11/22) likes older women!!!

Welcome alexturner74!! We all are going to have sooo much fun on this cruise. DD and I were sitting here looking at some DCL pictures from another posting and we got sooo excited. :cheer2: We have already started packing. Once Halloween is over, we will get more serious about getting things laid out on the guest bed!!!

At least I have my jewelry packed and then going to try to hide all my shoes from DH!! Which won't be easy!! :rolleyes1 DH just doesn't understand why my shoes need to match all my outfits!!!:rotfl:

Still lookinf for the occupants of Cabing 1051. Hopefully they will read the board and let me know if they would consider switching cabins.

We can't wait to set sail and the bonus shuttle launch the night before, how cool is that. We've seen one before in the daytime but they say the night launches are really cool.

I am still hoping to find our neighbors in Cabin 1051. Hopefully they will check the message board before we leave............

Hey Tami, last year we actually used the space saver bags you can purchase...you know the kind you attach to a vacuum and it magically sucks out all of the air from your clothing and make them paper thin! I just asked our stateroom attendant, Philip for a vacuum when it was time to pack up and we were good to go! Good luck!

Halloween is a big holiday at our house. Once that is over I hope to get packing. I feel behind because I haven't begun. I wish it would cool down here so I could pack my capris and stuff but I am still wearing them. Did everyone have a good Halloween?

I know exactly how you feel. Here we are the last day of October at a high school football game in tank tops and capris. While it was snowing in New York a few days ago. I can't wait for a nice warm fire in the fireplace eating chili and corn bread. :lovestruc But, we are truly blessed.

I've rediscovered my inner shoe diva and I'm going to have more shoes than I have clothes! My DH is disgusted with me.

I think I'm in the minority. I haven't even started packing and probably will just do it all at once on Veteran's Day. I'll make sure all of our clothes are clean and ready over the weekend, haul out the bags, and get 'er done. This is also not my first cruise and I've already learned that we only wear a few favorite, comfy outfits and end up doing laundry, so we're not taking much except for my SHOES!

Well the Christmas tree is up! As little ones were ringing our doorbell for trick or treating, we were in full decorating mode! We decided to put our tree up (an artificial one of course) this weekend as next weekend we know will be consumed by packing! We leave on the 10th for our pre-cruise adventure at The World and we don't return home until the 24th from our post-cruise excitement. We figured coming home to a festive house might help with the post vacation blues!

Our cruise is only second in line now!!!!

we had a lovely halloween here. It's usually quite cool here (about 14F) but today we had 71F. It's supposed to get cool and snow and rain on Wednesday. THE DAY WE LEAVE!!! :lmao:

My packing is done for the most part. Just a couple of things to iron and throw in. I managed to put 19 days into 4 suitcases and 2 carry on's but two of the suitcases have carry on's packed inside them....for stuff you know!

I can't believe it's so close! YIPPEE!!

Hi!!!

This will time be my second DCL adventure and I am soooooo excited! My Husband and I were on the land and sea in 2007 and we decided to book our 7 day 2008 cruise while on the ship! I did not partke in any spa treatment while on my cruise in 2007 b/c time was of the essence. BUT I will spoil myself to a spa treatment or 2 this time around. :cool2: I wonder if anyone can give me some insight into your fav spa treatments on the Disney Magic. I would also love to hear reviews of the new spa villa's and the couples choice/ultimate indulgence packages:banana:

And lastly I was wondering if anyone has every stayed in a catagory 3- 1 bedroom suite. What did you think? Was it worth it?:hippie:

Thank You for your time:dance3:
