November 13-17, 2011 Dream Cruise

We just booked and we are sooo excited to see this amazing ship and meet all kinds of new friends.

This will be our first Disney Cruise. I have a daughter who will be 11 and a daughter who will be 6 at the time of our cruise. Very Excited!!

Looking forward to meeting everybody. For us first timers perhaps you experienced cruisers will be able to give us some tips. Lets hope we can hv a dis meet as well.:lovestruc

Already booked and planning to surprise my mom with this cruise for Mother's Day. It will be our first cruise of any kind. Since we live in Houston, it would be very easy to take a cruise of another type out of Galveston, but I just gotta DREAM! :)

We're on board!:cool1: our party is DHpirate: Me :goodvibes DD (14):cheer2: DS (10):3dglasses

My parents, and friends Chris & Lacey:cool2::hippie: and their DS(4):yay:

We will be celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary, and my...._____birthday:thumbsup2

This will be our 5th cruise...but we cant wait for this one!!!! SO excieted for the Dream!

Our DD is wondering if there are any of you who have 13/14 yr olds that will be on this cruise? She will be without her cousins this time and she is sort of worried she will be alone.:sad2:

Hello

How does the fish extender work?

What size and how do I find the pattern to make the ideas for the door around the porthole on the door?

If you look at the sticky facts at the top of the cruise discussion board it will explain the FE,..and the magnets for the doors are in the creative DISigner section. There alot of peolpe who will help u with the creative design,..just ask and they will be happy to help.
ALSO...if you would rather you can buy a fish extender on ebay. they are not cheap but they are nice and also some will personalize them for you;)

I also hope we have a Fish Extender Group! We love them....we have gotten so many creative and fun gifts! It's so nice to come to the room and find mail,... the kids go nuts,...well so does mommy...:cutie:I wonder if there is anyone willing to be in charge of this? The gifts do not need to be elaborate or costly,...just a nice simple thought. My MIL is making mickey pocket/purse tissue holders. SOOOO cute. some of our favorite gifts were : a homemade CD of disney music,..a door magnet, magent calendar, candy, candy necklaces, pirate stickers/ tatoos, glow sticks, disney pencils,...lots of fun things.

We'll be on the Nov. 13th cruise! Myself, DH, and 3 DDs - ages 11, 9, and 7 at the time of the cruise. Very excited to be on our very first cruise, which has been a long time (over 10 years now) in actually happening. We're booked in a cat 4A room, on deck 10.

Will be looking in FE!

Just booked our first cruise (disney) or ever. We are excited to go. My boys will be 5 and 3 at the time of the cruise and we will celebrate my second son's birthday while we are on the cruise. He will turn 3 on the 5th of november. We are hoping to meet other families with similar age kiddos to hang out with but are looking forward to meeting everyone that will be on the cruise:) We booked a family veranda on the 9th deck.

Seems alot of you are 1st timers...Your gonna LOVE it. Be prepared to get HOOKED:thumbsup2

Our first "DISNEY" cruise was 2003,...we have never been the same.:goodvibes Disney will spoil you.

Thanks, Holly&Joesmommmy!

We're prepared to get hooked .. We've been vacationing with Disney for many years, and live so close to Magic Kingdom that I can hear the fireworks (right now, in fact .. Noisy neighbors! ;D). I told DH to have the money to rebook while onboard because I know once will never be enough. I think I need to get that "Disney vacation" feeling back!

WOW how nice to live soooo close! even if they are a little noisy:goodvibes

Good thinking on your part about having the desposit $ ready for the next cruise....I think we will be in line right behind ya! The only thing I worry about on this cruise is that it wont be long enough!!! I told my husband I am SURE we will NEED to book the Fantasy while we are on board. ;) Feel'n pretty confident that 4 days will not be enough!!!
We are staying a few days before the cruise and after,...but there is just something about being on board the ship....:cloud9: sitting on the top deck,..sunshine,....warmbreeze,....watch'n the waves roll by......How many more days till we leave:confused:???

How much deposit do they require if we book onboard? Our first time as well and staying before and after at the world.I still dont have a clue about all the things to do and see.I keep reading on here about the resturants kids clubs etc but it is mind boggling. After travelling to disney for the last 13 years I have just about got the jist of it but the cruise is another matter.Glad there are other first timers on here. Not seen any other Uk cruisers though.

Crabbie1,...the deposit has been $100 per person in the past,...I am guessing that is still the case. You could ask on a trip report threads to be sure, they should know.

Where will you be staying before and after? We r staying at Old Key West. CANT WAIT!:cool1: THis is our first time to stay there. My parents became proud owners of DVC at OKW this year and we are so happy. We have rented points for several years and stayed at Saratoga Springs,..which we really liked, but we are anxious to try OKW.

As for things to do and plans to make for this cruise,... well you are right,..it can be mind boggling. I think that all of this PRE planning stuff makes me feel like my vacation is MUCH longer than 7-10 days :goodvibes

I remember our 1st cruise,... we had NO IDEA what we were getting into. :rotfl2: We did a land and sea,..4days land,..3 days sea.

1st thing I learned..... 3days....NOT LONG ENOUGH!!!! ;)

2nd - make sure you get to port as soon as possible. They wont let us in until 10 and sometimes later, and not on the ship until 12 but we like to get on board ship ASAP!!! I'm gettin my $ worth,..every penny of every min!:rotfl:

3rd - asap send someone to make Palo or Remi reservations while you go make spa reservation if you havent done this online. (if you are planning on doing these) (think of this strategy as you would your Fastpass strategy at WDW) ;)

after that 1st cruise I STUDIED :surfweb: and STUDIED:teacher: read everything I could on herepopcorn:: so we would be WELL prepared for the 2nd one. :thumbsup2 it paid off!

If you have any questions just ask I don't know everything,...but I'll do my best to help.

We are booked for this cruise.
DH and I are celebrating our 10th Anniversary and our DD's(7) first cruise!:)

Welcome to the meet thread, Capricrn! We also have a DD who will be 7 at the time of the cruise. It's her first cruise as well .. She's so excited that she should be tall enough for the Aquaduck!
