November 12, 2011 - Magical Double Dip!

Just booked a cruise for my birthday in January with my DSis, yay!!!!!!!!!! Just us 2 girls, I can't wait!!!:cool1::woohoo::dance3::cheer2::yay:

Does anyone know if Spaceport has car seats?

YUP they do!!

Hey you have to remember, it's just me & my DH, no kiddos means I have lots more free time to be planning (maybe over planning;) ) our adventures:rotfl: If it makes you feel better I haven't figured out my meet & greet gift yet orrrrrrrr done any of my magnets, and we also do shirts, so there that also!!:cutie: Gotta save some things til closer so I can scramble to get things done "in time":rotfl2:Cannot believe how close we are getting!!!!!!!! Only 160 days to go!!! Yay!!!!!:yay::cool1::banana::woohoo:

When I'm off in the summer I know I'll go crazy getting it all together!!!

Well my dear friends, we will not be on this cruise. :(

We are switching to the 11/13/11 sailing of the Wonder on the Mexican Riviera. With the Kids sail free promo it's $1000 in our pockets... so we'll be hitting up the West coast. Wishing you all a safe and wonderful cruise!!!

:sad1: Well miss us!! And have fun on you other BORING cruise!!! :lmao:

Man, looking at these excursions, I'm seriously considering not getting off the boat for a couple of stops. We loved CC, but I'm kinda sad to be missing Key West, they had some great food places, :(

Food may be the only thing that will drag us off the boat in the Caymans or MX, most of the excursions aren't geared towards groups with younger kids, :confused3

We're doing a submarine excursion and Dolphinaris for the kids!! That should be enough!! And my DS told us he'll spend one day in the kids club on CC and the other day at CC with us!!! Such a nice kid comprimising and spending time with us!! :rotfl2:

I was going to book both those excursions directly through Dolphinaris and Atlantic Submarines, but BOTH said that if something happens we automatically loose some or all of our money!! So they BOTH reccomended that I book through DCL if I want that insurance!! And since they changed our cruise the last time, we're not chancing it this time!! Just an FYI!!!

FIVE MONTHS... FOUR DAYS AND COUNTING!!! :dance3::dance3::dance3:

We went on the same cruise in 2008, minus the double-dip. We signed up for the Atlantis Sub excursion, and they cancelled it on us. But we booked it through DCL so they just refunded it. I think we ended up doing stingray city which was AWESOME. My little boy was 18 months and he LOVED it. The tour guides were amazed that he got in the water and didn't flip out. My problem now though is my daughter will completely lose it if we do that again, lol.

We may hit up one of the nature/museum things, I dunno. It may all depend on how much pool time we get, or how wild the kids are,

Where the heck is everyone!:confused3

Our cruise is getting closer and closer!!!:cool1:

It'll ramp up when we can start making reservations for things I bet. I just ordered plane tickets last night though!

I still need to get passports for the kids, :surfweb:

This cruise cant come soon enough we soooo need it!!!!!

I"m here. But also signed up on the WBTA, 14 days and starting from Spain. As you might imagine, much of my planning energy is being sucked up by that cruise! Besides, BTDT X 3 with this cruise, so no planning required:rotfl:

Wow!! That's super exciting!:yay:

Now that the kids are out of school and work has slowed down we're trying to get back to cruise planning. This is our first DCL but not our first cruise (sailed the eastern Med last summer on RCCL) and my husband is worrying about formal nights... he considers dressing up wearing newer jeans. Has anybody used the formalwear delivery service? And what do the kids wear that night?

On our RCCL formal night, we didn't want to pack fancy clothes so we ate at the buffet and hid in our room that night. :rotfl2: We had to survive a week in Europe with only one suitcase each!

A nice suit or spot jacket will work very well for formal night. I would estimate that less than 3% of all men wear tux. You will see lots of different levels of dress on formal night. Don't worry too much about it. Just do what makes your family comfortable and enjoy the cruise.

I couldn't agree more!! :goodvibes We are the opposite end of the spectrum, we actually enjoy getting all "fancied up":rotfl: We never really get to dress up in our regular day to day lives so it's a nice change for a night!!:goodvibes

Irish, I believe this is our second cruise together:banana: We were also on the 6-13-2009 Magic Western!!:cool1:

My DW wants to get the FE gifts started!! My Kids will be doing them, but how many kids do we actually have involved?? :confused3

We're still trying to decide what to get as a Meet & Greet gift!!! :sad2:

COME ON NOVENBER!!!!!

Have you decided on excursions? Not sure what we are going to do on grand Cayman, but we will be going back to Nachi Cocum in Cozumel.

I don't know how many kids are actually involved, I hadn't counted but it should be simple enough to figure out if the people listed in the cabins is correct:thumbsup2

Was thinking of swimming with the dolphins in GC, but not 100% sure yet on that one. In Cozumel we are doing a cooking class and horseback riding thru Mr. Sancho's:woohoo: We did Nachi for the first time in June 2009 and again this past December and loved it, but wanted to change it up a bit:goodvibes
I can't wait!!!:dance3:

Excursions?? Haven't even thought about that yet! I'm just trying to get it paid for!!! :lmao:

I second that. Our only definate is we want to try a cabana on one of our two CC days. I want to have it paid off well before the PIF date so I can wait up until midnight to try and reserve one. :worship: I did book our town car service, pre cruise night hotel, and airfare though. Now it really feels like we're going!!! Glad I booked the air, it was $156 each for our return air, the next day it went up to $232! :scared1:

I'm debating back and forth on the CC Cabana idea. We will have two 4 year olds when we cruise, so it seems like it might be nice, but its a tad expensive for just 4 of us, and we aren't going to spend much time in it, in theory.
