November 12, 2005....7 Night Eastern...Who Else?

I'm ready to start packing but the wife will think that I'm crazy if I pack this early. I don't mind having the bags sitting at the front door waiting for me. After a hard day at work, seeing pack bags will make me feel a lot better when I get home from work.

Yep. I have their login info, I just can't login at the same time on the same computer. I tried that on Friday. So, what I will have to do is dial into DH's computer and log them in from there (that way I don't have to walk from desk to desk to do it). BUT, if I can do the linked ressie thing, I'll be a tad less harried. I'll be prepared for the worst though!

call dcl directly (800 number for reservations)-even if you booked through another sources they can advise you about linked ressies and on-line reservations. i booked thru dvc but called them because dcl site never identified us as castaway club members (although dcl computers did)-got a nice person who walked me through loading my cc membership number into the site.

Well that stinks. We will be at sea on the 29th sailing somewhere in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. I'm not going to worry about it - we get what we get!

Thanks for all of the great advice on the beaches. We will have to check them out. Good luck with all the reservation planning.

Choc Marg-I tried to send you a pm last night but I am not sure it worked could you pm me your mailing address so that I can send you a check. Thanks again.

4formickey......if it makes you feel any better.....I already have 1 large suitcase and one small suitcase packed and sitting IN THE WAY off to the side of our Master bedroom. :rotfl: Yup, they are a great reminder of what is yet to come and yup, my DH thinks I am crazy! :confused3 ;)

One (the small one) has a case of non-perishable soy milk packed for DS who LOVES vanilla soy milk and everything I have researched tells me that there is no guarentee that VANILLA soy milk could be available for him. He'll drink the whole case in about 5 days and we'll be driving straight to a grocery store in Orlando after disembarkment for more! :rotfl2: There are also big beach towels stuffed around the case as filler in the suitcase.

The other one contains "formal" and "fancy" wear that no around THIS house will ever miss or deem suspiciously disappeared in the coming months. Neither child has even glanced over or seemed to notice the suitcases and even if there becomes a question, all I have to say is that I have put a few things aside for our Mexico trip in March.

Thank you so much to the experienced cruisers and reservation makers to even give thought to us TITANIC SINK HOLE peons......we need all the tips and hints that are available!

I guess I will be staying up late (Pacific coast time at least :flower: ) on Sunday the 28th......crossing my fingers and only getting 4.5 hours sleep before a 12 hour shift at the hospital the next am. :badpc:

I know it will be worth it! :wizard:

P.S. Everyone please read a recent thread entiltiled, "favorite event on ship"..........it made my eyes well up! :earboy2: I am getting soooo excited! My kids are gonna' have pediatric coronary spasms when they see and get on that ship! :love1: I think DH is in for a pleasant surprise.....yes, he knows what I have told him of this ficticious experience thus far.....having never gone and just reading these boards. :wizard: There obviously is MAGIC coming our way and I am so stoaked to have him see it too! :wave2:

Good Morning cruisers - another day closer...

Post Card Question - Are we signing these - with our Dis Name and maybe - "this is where ,,,,lives...???

Let me know... thanks.

i think it's a great idea to sign the post cards-gives the kids more to talk about if they give a presentation at school after the trip. we even had a few folks who included their snail mail address in order to establish a christmas card "thread" each year and keep up on each others vacation travels.

i have some stuff squirled away to pack, but probably won't get down and dirty with it until a couple of weeks prior (want to see where my weight loss is at, and need to make sure the kids have not gone through a growth spurt!

dis nurse-i can't remember if you are staying at wdw or off site, but most of the places will let you mail packages to yourself. so if there is a particular brand of soy milk your son likes you could mail it ahead of time to be ready at check-in. i plan on mailing a box with the water shoes and other bulky items that just eat up valuable suitcase space. speaking of groceries, i think i may further check out the local stores that do delivery to wdw, their prices look better than the web grocery services-and if there's a problem i would much rather deal with a local provider (i just hope they have yoplait chocolait whips-i am totaly addicted ).

Here I am leaving for California in 3 days and just 20 minutes ago began packing. I wish I had all of you people's organization! I seem to always do things last minute - rushing around like a mad woman! I never forget anything though so I get points for that right??? I still have to pay off our cruise! I was hoping an agent rate would open up, but when I called yesterday there is hardly anything left. I could cancel my booking and keep my fingers crossed or end up making my husband's family mad because we didn't get on. Like everything else, I will wait till the last minute - I have until the 29th at 11:59PM but will have to make a decision that morning since we leave for the cruise then.
Back to packing - times a wastin! :hourglass

There is a huge super Wal-Mart on Osceola Parkway - which is on the way to WDW from the south. Don't know about from the Port, but maybe you could google a location. Lots of folks have the WM bags when the check into WDW....

Good Luck with the packing....

Hey - we are almost up to 50 pages....

I will "print" a few words on the post cards for the kids.

Like - This is where Chip&Dale&Fun live - or this is the State Reptile, the Florida Gator and Chip&Dale&Fun went to the University of Florida and the Gator is UF's mascott. ETC. sound ok?

I have a variety of cards, gators, birds, palm trees, city scenes....yes, I am from Florida. No Mickey Mouse though...maybe some old WDW cards, from past vacations, I will bring for the fun of it.

DisNurse, I have an atlas for the group. I'll see if I can make copies of the overall US Map.

princesshayleysmom-good luck on the packing (we have done plenty of the packing in the 11th hour-you know the drinll: it always get's done) :) do you already have your disneyland park tickets? if not, they have a special going on at the safeway stores in california that offer a good deal. have a great time-you should be getting an even nicer break from the weather than normal, we've been out of the triple digits for about a week and a half-you should have a great time :Pinkbounc

chil&dale&fun-the postcards sound great! i love the idea of the maps-my daughter was complaining last night about haveing to spend the first day of school learning geography (the nerve of her teacher, expecting the kids to learn on the first day of school :rotfl:).

i know that there are several of us planning on dressing for pirate night-is anyone planning on packing something for any of the decade nights in the dance/music areas: any disco queens or 80's hairstyles lurking out there?

disnurse-i always smile when you comment on your "titanic sink hole" rooms :) i seem to remember watching a rerun of titanic while packing one night before our previous cruise, my dh just shakes his head and walks away :rotfl2: anyway-you will find that no matter the category, the rooms will be very nice (anything would be better than on our first cruise via ncl, it was a closet with a porthole, no tv, only a radio that only carried the military radio channel which was way too much "goodmorning vietnam/pre robin wiliams"-only polka music.

have a great day all-i'm off to get the kids in a few (2 days down, 10 years to go :earboy2: ).

hello all!

i need to start looking at which beach we want to go to as well. i know hubby is going to scuba one day so i will have to wait and see what his sched. will be like before i can narrow down a time and place.

I told you -the nude Volleyball beaches :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

dh-do you realy want to be on a nude volleyball beach, where the expectation would be that you (out of politeness) join in au natural? keeping in mind: i WOULD use the digital camera (and i still have not chosen the holiday photos to send this year + i do have all of your co-worker's email addresses) and your son (who WOULD join in with you) would require a gallon of sunscreen leaving none for your :earseek: ...eyes.

get back to work and stop cruisin the cruise board (or you can help your daughter with her spanish homework, and no-"yo quiero taco bell" will not suffice as conversational spanish :rotfl: ).
