Should we change the place for our meet considering that our group has gotton bigger?

With all the excitement on a cruise, we may not have 100% attendance at the meet.... And since everyone is busy getting ready, I think we should leave it where we planned it.....after all DCL manages to get 1/2 the ship into this space each evening --- we don't have that many yet do we???? However, I'm fine wth what the group wishes to do....

Good Morning and Happy Planning - I am into hard core cleaning for the cruise. Unlike most if you, I tend to let the housework get a wee bit behind...

No docs yet from Lake Worth, Florida.

My DW is on a crusade. She learned that there is a $2 charge for her favorite after meal drink, decaff cappuccino, even at the dining rooms. Spending what we did for this vacation, she does not want to be nickeled and dimed on stuff like cappuccino. Liquor charges are understandable, but not coffee.

My DW is usually very very good at getting these types of things changed to her advantage.

If there are any interested cappuccino drinkers out there, I will keep you posted on her progress.

E-mailed our TA yesterday and she said she had just received the docs for the groups going the week before us, so she probably won't get ours till next week. Then she has to mail to us, so we may not get ours till the 1st week in November.

i've seen postings from the folks leaving both one and two weeks prior to us saying they've not yet gotten their docs.

i don't know what the deal is on decaf. cappuccino-but i recall being charged for anything that was above and beyond the norm cup of coffee. in fact i found it ammusing last summer when we sailed on hal-they made a big deal about their complimentary coffee bar, touting that cappuccinos and lattes were free. well if you wanted any divergence from the norm (many people like non fat dairy products or need soy products) it was not a "standard drink" and resulted in a surcharge that was comparable to what you'de pay for the entire drink off the ship.

and finaly, yes we got what i thought was a good rate at radisson as recently as within the past few weeks. I would suggest looking at the web site prices then calling directly to see what prices they offer-then ask for the lower of the 2.

As I mentioned last week we received our docs, along with my sister who lives across the state line in Pensacola (FL). We're both Cat 9 - I'm the one whose paronoid our little ones might climb up in a chair then over the verandah - I know it never happens, but I'll sleep better at night)

My parents are cat 4 (so we can enjoy a verandah with mulitple eyes watching) and they too (lives near me) have their docs.

I'm wondering the madness behind the method to docs. delivery!!

I just called DCL and I got my tracking # for UPS. I tracked my package for a delivery date of 10/20 ...I can't wait !!!! The UPS man better watch out.. ...

There is no set pattern for the docs to be sent. I am a Cat 3 have not gotten them yet. We have two other staterooms in our group both Cat 10 also have not gotten them.

You know in the future ask your TA to have DCL to send them right to your house. Before I am told that can not be done yes it can be and it's done all the time.

Well, this shoots my theory all the heck.....

I have to confess that our documents are waiting for us to pick up from our TA as of 2 days ago! She emailed me instead of calling me (not to blow the surpirise for the kids). I should sound more excited, but she pulled a dirty trick on me...she is leaving for a cruise to Mexico today and won't be back until the 27th! I cannot go by and pick them up until then! Wasn't that mean?

....like cookie crumbs in front of a hungry mouse!
BTW, we are category 9.

Hey JayPD,,,,I'm curious how far in advanced you booked your room. My parents first tried for a cat 1 - it was booked, then a cat 2 - it was booked - then a cat 3 - which was booked. That's how they ended up with a cat 4. We booked the cruise the last week in February......
