:wave2: Hey "Travelin' Pat"! (Did you ever watch Fraggle Rock?) It's nice to see you back home. How was Aruba and when is your next trip?

WONDERFUL as always.......home for the rest of the summer although I am heading to Hampton Bays for the weekend......Looking forward to the PlaPlaper trip in October....... :grouphug:

We did our reservation through AAA with another DIS family (needalatte) who we traveled with on our last cruise (still sounds odd to say that). :goodvibes Both of our families have currently booked using the same agent we used last time. We prefer early seating on any rotation, but can we still play with your group? We're good with the late night Rockin Bar D parties and games! Between the $200 per cabin onboard credit, and the AAA $150 onboard credit (if that is still the perk in 2006) we have a good portion of our excursion money all set! :cheer2:

We did get confirmation today of rooms 2146 & 2148 (noisy rooms). Anyone know if it is engine noise or something else? We were told engine noise in the carribean is nothing like what we heard in Mexico (they had to run all the engines most of the time to cover the huge distance, compare to the 2 engines they use for the distances they travel on the carribean cruises). :confused3 We're just excited to get CC twice this cruise after missing it entirely on our west coast mexico cruise.

As for who we are:
Wendy (me - mom to 3 boys, and hopefully substitute teacher soon)
Tim (DH - hardworking engineer)
Jake (DS - 12 and in 7th grade by cruise time)
Conner (DS - 10 and in 5th grade by cruise time)
Riley (DS - 6 and in 1st grade by cruise time)

Well, off to prepare for my youngest son's birthday tomorrow!

Anyone on this thread have one of the two 2-bedroom suites for this cruise? We just got back from our first Disney cruise and loved it! We are wait listed for the 2-bedroom, and just wondering if any DIS already has it, and has no plans of letting it go! I'm hoping for a little magic and be able to get it - :genie: We aren't set on this date, although it sounds from the posts that it sure will be a fun one! :cool1: Lisa

Good news Vanvmom, we too will have our DS 6 at cruising time and in 1st grade. :cool1: We will also be on Deck 2....somewhere in the 2600 range towards the front of the ship.

Well this thread got a little activity while I was no paying attention.

Welcome vanvmom. Not everyone here is in a group, me included, but they have made me feel welcome. I am glad you had a good time. I love cruising on Disney. I too, usually, spend way to much time on the boards.

Pat..glad to hear that you are home and safe.

I am planning my next cruise (and we all know I am a OCD planner) and in th process that group (another cruise line) had suggested wearing madi gra (sp) beads to be able to indentify each other. As I was looking at the various websites I saw some with pirates and thought it would be cool for DCL. What do you guys think?

Well I will check in later.

Dee

Hey guys!! Me again. Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Welcome to all of the newbies. Glad you could join us. It is going to be a phenomenal cruise. I haven't been in the 2 bedroom suite before but I was fortunate enough to be in the Roy Suite. That was gorgeous. So was the 1 bedroom. The last time I checked (which was weeks ago now so I am sure they are gone by now), there were only handicapped accessible Cat 3's left. They were available to the public since all of the others were sold. From what I hear, this cruise will be sold out looooong before we sail. There has been lots of interest with the 2 stops at CC. I know that is what sold my husband. Well, I am off to get the boys tucked in. Been a very long week.

Hope all are doing well!!!

Jeanna

We have a party of 7, so the 1-bedroom isn't big enough. I put myself waitlisted for the one-bedrooms that have the adjoining cat 4 room - that would work well as well. But I guess I shouldn't be too hopeful. I've very excited about the two stops to Castaway - we have never been. It looks like so much fun!

bump... we had drifted down to the middle of page 2! :earseek:

BTW... we've talked another family into taking the plunge and hopefully they will post soon as well. It will be their first Disney cruise, and none of our kids know we've booked it. :goodvibes

We have become a quiet bunch. I guess everyone is on vacation or planning one that is sooner. Non the less I hope all is having a good time and that all is well.

Dee

Hi Dee- I am still checking this thread regularly (I guess I am an overplanner too :rolleyes1 ). We actually have a DL trip planned for this November, but haven't even picked specific dates yet for it. :confused3

I had hoped to go to WDW in December, but my class reunion is the weekend after Thanksgiving.

I have never been to DL, but want to go someday. I now have family that lives there (through marriage) so maybe we will go one day.

Well it is time to head off to bed.

Check in tomorrow,
Dee

:wave2:
hello all! i havent posted over here in awhile and thought i would pop on and say hi and wish everyone a wonderful weekend!

welcome aboard to all the new sailors!!

pat, how is that cj coming along? ready to hit the mail next week?

Our friends booked online Wed. with GTY Cat 12 (& maybe they will get bumped up). We've been telling everyone we know about how wonderful DCL is (I should get some sort of referral bonus or something). :rotfl2:

Hope everyone has a great weekend! :jumping1:

hey pat!

was just noticing on the first post we still dont have names - next time you are updating that section - we are janice (as you know!) and linda!

thanks!!
get your cj done!!

Once again we are a quiet bunch. Just thought I would check in.

I will take no news as good news.

Have a great week all,
Dee

Hi,

I am new to the message board and just booked our first Disney Cruise. I am so excited. My daughter has sailed with my inlaws on the Magic last Martin Luther King. They all loved it. I will be traveling with my husband and two daughters who will be 7 and 3 at time of sailing. I would love to meet some other families with similar ages of girls if possible.

Jodi

Jodi, Welcome. There are quite a few families travelling with this group. We have been a little quiet latley, but keep checking back and I am sure the rest will join in.

My nephew will be 6 when we sail. If you look at the first thread I believe Pat has listed the childrens ages. You may also want to list who is in your party so she can add it to the list.

Welcom again, Dee

For the "list" here is our group
vanvmom (me - mom to three VanV***** boys - lot of people last cruise asked me to explain what vanvmom means) :goodvibes
DH - Tim
DS - Jake (12 almost 13 at cruise time)
DS - Conner (10 at cruise time)
DS - Riley (6 at cruise time)

:jumping1:

We are traveling with Needalatte (& her family) plus at least one other family that has yet to post on these boards. :hourglass

Welcome Jodi (& girls...) Sorry no girls in our group, we were only blessed with boys. The way I look at it, someone had to have the boys so that one day all the girls will have wonderful guys to marry :lovestruc

Bye for now.
