Jiminy you guys!! I mention a possible trip and we've got a regional DIS Meet going! I love this! :sunny: :cheer2: The only thing I know about the tournament is something about Traditions. Near or in Richmond. I should know more tomorrow afternoon. If it weren't for the possibility of travelling to Ohio for a wedding 7/23, I'd just say road trip regardless of the golf. I'll keep you all informed.

Vicki

Oops, what I meant to say, Vicki, was that you should come "regardless" of whether there was a golf meet or not! doh!

Teams preparing for seventh annual Traditions of Golf Challenge

Young golfers across the country – and in Mexico – have been fine tuning their games and studying up on the rules of the sport in preparation for the seventh annual Traditions of Golf Challenge.

The one-of-its-kind tournament, conducted by Hook A Kid On Golf, will be held at the Independence Golf Club in Richmond, Virginia, on Aug. 19-21. Teams will vie for the top spot in this prestigious tournament, which tests not just their playing skills, but their knowledge of the rules, etiquette and history of the game.

This is where and when it is. I should know something after 3pmCDT, Thursday.

Jen, I understood. :earsgirl:

NO not that weekend. That is the weekend of the Bachlorette party. Vicki are we ever going to meet? It did not work in Chicago and it is not looking good for August.

Well I will keep checking back. Have a great week all,
Dee

I think that is the weekend of the Teddy Bear & Doll Expo in Washington DC.

When you know more about it please post. We'll try to set up some sort of DIS meet.

Sue Ellen

Well, we're short two players. Our team doesn't have enough in the age group they want. Soooo, we're asking if we could either bring along our 10 yo's, or recruit from another IL team. We're working towards the goal!!

If we come, I'd probably leave the weekend before. Do some of the tourist things. Maybe try another Bush Gardens DIS meet, Linda? :cool1: I'll let you know as I know, Gang!! Keep hoping!! :wizard:

Unfortunately, looks like I will miss out on this one. I am sure Sarah can just wear a button with my picture on it so I can be there 'in spirit'. :rotfl2: Guess I will have to go back to my working day world now..... :moped:

As a Busch Gardens passholder I would be in for that one :)

Sue Ellen

Vicki.. I would drag my large tail there just to meet you as well. The weekend before sounds great to me. Please keep us posted.
Dee

Alas, it was decided to wait another year to prepare the team better. :sad2: I"ll have to think another day or two on just coming out for the fun of it..... :wizard:

Well, poop! If you can't come this year, we will leave the light on for you for next year!

For all my old Kruz Krazed pals...... It was two years ago today we lost John, and I've decide to focus on my many blessings today. They are many!! And you Plap Lap Laper's are on that list. Thank you for your encouragement, inclusion, and just allowing me to be my off the deep end self.

You're the best. :lovestruc

Vicki -

Although you must know this by now, I will put it in writing just in case you don't. You and your family are very loved by all of your cruising pals. Know that we are all there with you today on this most difficult day for you and your family. If at any time you need someone to talk to, you know how to reach us. It would be our pleasure to help you through. Try not to be down, instead remember and celebrate all the good times you have had together and how he has changed all of your lives. I am sure he is missing all of you but I am sure he is also very proud of all of you.

Jeanna :wave2:

Hi all- Our family just got back home about a week ago from our first DCL cruise (7 night West Coast Mexico) on the Magic. We had an incredible DIS group (including a party on July 4th in the Roy O. Suite)! On board we re-booked for 11/25/06 cruise to St. Thomas (etc) because we thought the double scoop would be too pricey (especially after the premiums we paid for the cruise we just took). We've put a message in to change our cruise to this one, but still waiting to hear for confirmation. We're not telling the DSs yet about this cruise. Because my husband works so hard to earn the money I spend, we're trying for connecting Cat 9 rooms on Deck 2. :rotfl: Last cruise we lucked out and did not get noisy rooms. Who knows for sure where the noisy rooms will be after thr dry dock changes to the deck 2 conference rooms  I'm mom to 3 boys, so believe me, I know noisy rooms! :jumping1: I'll let you know for sure once we've gotten the confirmation. :listen: I've read the first 17 pages of your posts...we do early seating, love the late Rockin D parties, enjoy getting copies of the photos other people take (I'm the family photobug, and if it we're for Shutters, there would be no visible evidence that I was even on our last cruise). Oh, one more note... I spend WAY too much time on these boards. :teeth:

It is hard to believe this much time has gone by ...... and yet such a short time.
Why do I feel as if ALL the PLaPlaPers have been around forever?????

John was with us in spirit on the cruise (I think he was lurking in the dinning room) and in the faces of the princesses.
You are a wonderful mother ... and a fun DISser  , too.

Looking forward to our future trips :boat: together........ :grouphug:

Hi, Glad u had FUN...let us know when you change to this cruise.......
Several of us have booked thru AAA as a group - we got a discount and other benefits of being 'together' such as dinning rotations and early resies .....let us know if you would like to move your reservation to the group .
