Have a great night
Dee

We are booked on the 11/06 double dip cruise. This will be our 2nd Disney cruise as we did the Eastern for our 10 anniversiary in 2001. We will now be going again for our 15th. My children will be 13 and 10 at sailing. I am trying to get my in-laws to come as they have never cruised before and I know they would love it. Does anyone have any ideas of a way to get them jazzed about it other than the obvious? I have emailed them pics, sent them the video and showed them the web-site. I wish I could show them something that was directed more towards their age group. I know this cruise will probably sell out so I want them to book soon. We used Dreams Unlimited this time. I am a flight attendant so last time we got a travel industry rate but I guess since they have been filling their ships they no longer really offer anything significant to airline people. Look forward to reading all your posts!

I just got back from AAA and we booked our cruise on the Magic! I'm so excited, but upset with the fact that I have to wait over a year. We are in room 6088 with a verandah. Cruisers include Me(Robyn)24, my mom(Holli), and my nephew(Preston)5. We have goten a group together so we can take advantage of the group rates. Our friends will be joining us-Bridgett and Dave with their 4 kids Blake-6, Damen-4, James-2, Jordyn-10months. Her parents are also coming with relatives from Washington and Canada. So far I think we have about 8 or 12 cabins that will be filled.

A few of our other friends have yet to make a decision if they will be joining us and if they do we will have anywhere between 50-75 people! So I'm surre someone is bound to bump into us!

I'm so excited about hitting Castaway Cay twice! I would love to get to know anyone elses who will be on the same cruiseas us. Sorry in advance if my group is holding up the line at the buffet!

Feel free to Email me at disney_81@yahoo if you want to chat. I would love to meet other Disney Obsessed people that way I know I am not the only one!

Until then, waiting patiently! :hourglass

Ok, so I've never been on a Disney Cruise and never posted on a message board...confirmed lurker, I am! Two firsts in one week. We just booked for November 11, 2006. I'm so excited, I'm having trouble sitting still these days. Hoping my DH's head doesn't explode if I mention one more tasty tidbit of information gleaned from this great site. He's had a few years practice, so I'm guessing he'll make it through the year.

We'll be a party of 4:
Carolyn (me!)
Bob (DH)
Adam (DS-8)
Mikaila (DD-5)

Question?: Is the Costa Maya visit a new one for DCL? I looked on their site and didn't see a list of excursions....

Thanks for all the info....

Hello Everyone! Just wanted to join the crowd of double dippers! My family and I cruised Nov. 2004 Eastern. We are looking forward to new ports of call and CC twice  My name is Jennifer, my DH is Pat and our sons are Michael (14 at time of cruise) and Drew (11 almost 12) at time of cruising. You know you have found a good thing when your "all boy" teen and pre-teen love cruising with the mouse!

Vanvmom - we were across the "hall" in room 2650 on our last cruise. It wasn't that bad. We heard the engine taking off and going into port. Both times we were glad to be a wake and ready to start the day. We are in room 2628 this time.

Looking forward to chatting with all of you often

We are booked on the 11-11-06. It's just the four of us. DW, myself and two DD (2 and 6). We have been on many cruises, but first DCL. We are on deck 7.

Hey Pat, haven't even went on our first cruise yet (not until 12/05) but have already booked for this one! We're currently at 8 family members total. I think we're set for 6516/6518.

Here's the rundown:
Me-34 and my DD11 & DD7
Jeff-48 and his crew DD27, DS23 (on day of sailing), DS20 and DD14

Too funny, on our last cruise (July 2nd - Mexico) we were in room 2622. Guess we've just traded spaces! We loved our location, and knew that Deck 2 Aft was a great spot!
And Robyn... our group may take up just as much space in the buffet lines. So far we know there are 3 families in our group, but I think we may GROW! About 7 other families are considering booking this cruise as well (so that would make the 12 people we currently have grow into about 47). :grouphug:

Carolyn- My DH felt the same way before our last cruise, but he survived!
Looking forward to meeting everyone! :teeth: In fact, I think he secretly enjoyed it! :cheer2:

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Welcome susaninaz, disney_81, clynne, 4 cogs and cruiser4life.

Wow I step away from checking for a couple days and look at all the action.

Maybe we will see a little more action here. For me that is great because I am a OC planner. As for Costa Maya, it is a special stop. I think they will do it a few times before us though.

Well have a great day all,

Dee

Hello and welcome to the newcomers! :goodvibes

About Costa Maya....yes, I have many questions too. I do know that it is not a fabulous place for kids as far as very few sandy beaches and lots of rocks! I also am aware of the malaria issue...and you can't donate blood for a year once you have stepped foot in that place. This a stop that we are very interested in leaving the kids on the ship and exploring an excursion ourselves. I will be anxious to hear any feedback from those who go before us! If you hear of anything halfway interesting please let us all know!

 Hi Kris! Nice to see you here.

I'm hoping DCL puts out the excursion list for Costa Maya soon. Fervently wishing they will offer an excursion to the Chacchoben ruins.

I would do it on my own, but it is a long tour and wouldn't want to chance missing the ship! :earseek: If its a DCL excursion, I don't think they will leave without us (at least, I hope not :p ).

Thanks for the Costa Maya links...Looks like fun, but to this first-timer, it all looks like fun. Now, I have something else to consider and I'll try, try to be patient...

Yup.....I have scanned those Costa Maya excursions in the past and we have our heart set on the Boat Blast! Hope DCL offers this and that we can get a reservation! Definitely an excursion not suited for kids. We are sailing the Magic this November and hope to get them hooked on the Kids' clubs enough to enjoy a day to ourselves with no worries....and lots of fun! :cool1:

I wish I was excited about this western, but truth be told I love the eastern. Maybe the more I read the more I will get interested.

Have a good day all,
Dee

Hi All! :wave2: And a hearty welcome to the new comers!! pirate:

I can't believe we're talking excurstions already. Maybe I'm just concentrating on my upcoming October WDW trip for now! :smooth: :cool1:

Linda, Thank you for the card....it came on my birthday!! :wizard: That was kind of you. (For those of you who are wondering...I'm 29.)

There was a newcomer (it's late, I don't remember who....sorry) who has dd's near the same age as my little ones. Mine atoc (at time of cruise) are 14, almost 13, 8, and almost 6. But then, I'd be able to hook up with you if I knew where to find that blasted list! :confused3 I'll look again.

Time to start chat night yet??? :bounce: I think it is!! :grouphug:

welcome to all the newbies!!
