Well, time for true confessions. Linda, Sarah, Ed and I snuck in a 7 day Western in Dec 2005.

Hey, no fair. DW snuck in a 7-day Western in Dec 2005 too -- without me!

Us girls have to stick together :grouphug:

Just back from Walmart printing some pictures out and the guy behind the counter asked us how many WEEKS were we on the cruise. I told him aaaahhhhh 1 it was a seven night cruise. He looked very confused. I paid for my pictures and we left. When we got home and were really loking at the pictures my DW noticed the wrong date on a picture we bought at shutters the date is nov 4- 11 2006 May be it was wishful thinking.

I just was going thru my 400+ digital photos and another 600+ of hannosdads' and I happen to have some nice photos of the DISers.
I started to think that maybe some others have pictures of me and DH they wouldn't mind sharing.
I can easily send my photos as an attachment in an email and then you can save them to your digital program (I use HP Image Zone)

Just in case - this is US :wave2:

So if you are interested, we could start a list on this thread - and after a few days I would be happy to make a master list with DIS name and emails that could be pm'd to each participant. Also feel free to share any particularly GREAT photos you took on the cruise!

So wha-da-ya think???

Hello All,

Well, after 2 whole days of dieting after the cruise of a lifetime (Monday and Tuesday, had an office pot luck on Wednesday) the Turkey feast day was upon us. Plus, my Dad decided that we needed a box of See's chocolate as a coming home present. It has mysteriously vaporized along with the large carmel apple pie we had for dessert on Turkey day. Add in the nutty coconut 1/2 gallon of ice cream from basking robbins and it all adds us to a severe case of holiday over stuffing. With company Christmas parties, Santa pancake breakfast, friend and family get togethers planned for the next 4 weeks the diet is just going to have to wait.

Still trying to decide on the next cruise date. With Mary turning 16 there are only 3 more years before she heads off to college. So many places we want to go as a family and so little time. Sheesh, when did she grow up. Alison and I didn't get any older but the kids did. Must be some kind of parrellel dimension time warp or something.

Wait Shelly, I'm trying to get a visual on this one... did she have an extra car to give you, or another bag... and if it was another bag, how did it fit??? :teeth:

:rotfl2: Hardy Har Har!! :rotfl2:

She actually brought extra goodies for tag bags! Her husband just rolled his eyes when she told us that she had stuff she could give us. Here I could hardly fit my flip flops in the car and she had extra stuff! :thumbsup2

If nothing else I did learn to pack only half of what I think I need! :teeth:

OMG, I just realized that I posted under Dave's screenname!!

Sorry,

Shelly

Thanks Woody, how did the pix of your lovely wife and Capt Jack pirate: come out?

(Sigh) Had a nice flashback today as I (finally) unpacked another suitcase. When I picked up a pair of DD4's pants, metallic Mickey confetti went flying everywhere! She had collected it all at the Farewell celebration.... it was almost like being there again. A happy and sad moment all at once. :tilt:

The pictures turned out great. But I noticed DW is smiling more in the photos with Capt Jack than in the photos with me. Hmmm.

HOw many posts do you have to have to be able to post attachments? It says I can't and I would love to pass on a picture or two!

The easiest way to post pictures is to go to www.photobucket.com and sign up for a free account. Download the pictures you want to share there and then copy and paste the 'img' to your post. Photobucket reduces your pictures automatically to 800X600 but you can click on the 'edit' button then 'size' and reduce the size even more. Just remember that you need to do any editing before you post the link to your picture as editing changes the 'address' of the picture.

Can't wait to see your photos :wave2:

:sad1: Where has the time gone. :sad1: We have been back 8 days already. I can't believe it. :sad1: I had such a great time meeting all of you. I have been so busy between working, working late to catch up and getting ready for Thanksgiving that I haven't had much time to read the posts. I figured I'd have pages to catch up on, but it seems everyone has been just as busy, thankgoodness. You know how that can be reading all the pages to catch up.... :rotfl:
I am so glad Dee, that I came on this cruise. I guess in reality we have your DH to thank since it is he that started the rumor that we were coming in the first place when in reality we weren't. You don't know how much fun I/we had.
Regarding the DisTag Games~~~~After all the questions and the shopping for the Distag game, it turned out to be a blast. Yes, as someone mentioned in a previous post that I had read, deck 5 is a little tricky. :confused3 Only one other family was on deck 5 other than us, in the Distag game. I started looking for the the 5000 rooms and found it was a long way from the 5100 rooms, like the other end of the ship.
A good feature to the DisTag Game was that at least I got some exercise. I don't know how, but I didn't gain a pound. In reality though, we ate only two breakfasts and two brunches at Palo. We ate at lunch at Castaway first time we were there and then stayed onboard for lunch the second time. But we did eat dinner every night. So in reality we didn't eat evey single meal. I was so stuffed all the time I couldn't think of food even when were getting dressed to go for dinner. :rotfl: Too much food. The exercise from walking around the ship delivering these bags, must have worked off some of the food.
I did my delivering at night because I was having too much fun during the day. :bounce: :woohoo: :Pinkbounc Plus I didn't want to get caught in the act. I wanted to be like :tinker: delivering secretly so I wouldn't get caught. I did get caught once in the afternnonn sometime. It was by a DH who said he had nothing to do with the game at all and wouldn't say anthing so I could make a fast get away. Wished I could remember who that was. While I'm in the DisTag Discussion~~~ I want, at this time, to thank Elizabeth for all the time she spent setting this up and answering all my questions. I really had a great time playing and it was really worth it. My stateroom host laughed everytime I went back to my room because there was another tagbag there. He said I had one all the time. I was the only one in his area that was playing the game the other was on deck 5 at the front of the ship. Actually needed this :moped: to get to that other room. :rotfl2:
I did take pics :artist: of everyone at the luncheon on Thurs, and will send to anyone who wants them. So if you were at the luncheon and you want I will email the pics from the luncheon. There are not many as I came late because I was at Palo having brunch. So if you want them here is my email just let me know~~nanerbean@comcast.net and I will get them out to you as soon as possible. The group shots Dee took on Saturday afternoon are great. I don't know who else took them, but she took at least 7or so pics.
DH and I took this vaca to relax and it was the honeymoon we did not take in 2004 when we were married. We just did pretty much what we wanted. Rest was a big priority at this time. :cheer2: He had a great time even though I felt at times I was dragging him here and there. But he said it was okay and he was having fun. Thank goodness he is pretty easy going in his older years :lmao:
Yes I know Dee, it wasn't always that way! Thank goodness he changed somewhere along the line.
Well it was easier than I thought talking the DH into rebooking. :woohoo: A little help from Dee and our son/stepson didn't hurt. Of course we want the Fall timeframe again so we will wait until the dates are up, but we are booked nontheless. I have not been on many vacations in my lifetime 6 or 7 to be exact and I have to say this was the best. I never had so much fun and of course I couldn't have had so much fun if it were for my two best friends Dee and Win. They treat me so much like family that I hope they adopt me some day. ..........
Although this cruise is over and I am :sad1: I now have another cruise to look forward to in 2008!!!! :Pinkbounc Then I will have a chance to meet all of you again who plan on coming on that cruise.
Well finally got my wash caught up, but alas the last couple of days of :laundy: is staring me in the face so I'd better get going as work is tomorrow.
Take care all. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and since we will all be busy for the holidays and should we not get the chance to get back here have a great "Holiday Season and a Happy New Year." Miss you all :grouphug:

I would like a pic of that also. No one believes me that Margaritas come in a box. :rotfl2:

This is great I will try this way with the luncheon photos. Thanks Pat. :thumbsup2

Belated HAPPY TURKEY DAY - hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend. I've been sick most of it, but feeling better now. I apologize too, for my DH's communication server being down. It was the power supply, so we are back up and running. I even had a phone call from a friend in town, (are you mad at me?) - because I wasn't replying to emails. What has happened to a society that no longer actually "calls" people, but relies on email? So sad and yet, so quiet! ;)

I have responded to many of my friends now, about the cruise and cannot get across the amazing time we had. I know it's difficult for them to understand how we could have so much fun with a bunch of folk we barely (if that) know! What a special treat eh? I miss you guys! I miss walking the ship, I am STILL having cruise dreams, and I hope they continue till 2008 cuz I know there won't be any little trip in between on a cruise ship! I did get DH to agree he'd "try" it... he doesn't know I re-booked (it will be our 10 year anniversary) then and I am hoping I can keep the surprise quiet for a while (not much luck of that) Jackie got all the "I can keep a secret" genes!

I have been doing some cooking today as I was ill on Turkey Day and feel horrible that my poor Dsis and Dh didn't get Turkey ... I'll have to pull out some great recipes and give them some thing nice this week. Jackie stopped over with some BANFI which I am now feeling really perky about opening! Maybe we'll have a feast tonight. I just put away the Fritta dishes (tried a new recipe) out on DH and he gave it two thumbs up :thumbsup2 which is always good since he's a bit of a picky pants when it comes to food!

Hope everyone has a great day! And YES - anyone who has some photos of me and my sis - please send!!!! I will organize mine this week and send to you as well. Thanks all!

SHE LIVES! :thumbsup2

Glad you're feeling better today, little sis. I spent nearly all of Friday in my jammies!

Peg, Jose & I did make it out to the movies (Finally!) yesterday and saw "Stranger Than Fiction". Emma Thompson was fantastic and I really enjoyed the 'subdued' version of Will Farrell. I'm ready to hit another flick today!

I've just idled away most of the morning reading the latest Kevin Stringer trip report over on the UK forum. I love reading reports from the DISers across the pond. And I envy their LONG holidays.

I'd like to see more photos posted here....so get busy kids. Eventually, I'll get to see ours, which are trapped in Peg's work computer.
