Melanie...I think your girls must have had a wonderful vacation with all of those special things directed towards them!! Maybe that will convince Hottie Husband to rebook....?

Michelle...Saw a petite version of Angelina's wheelchair in the grocery store this morning. Love that pink! Made me smile and remember your beautiful little girl!

my last load of laundry is in the dryer now! We hit the ground running yesterday and were off the ship at 7:45 and on 528 shortly thereafter, got home before 9 and then it was change and out the door again for DS8's soccer game. I was exhausted last night and in bed early.

Filip in Shutters was awful with my girls, who are fairly easy. Really, if you can't handle children's photography (which is a calling) don't work for Disney!! Also duly noted...

He was incredibly rude to us as well. We also noted it on our comment card. The only other problem we had was with the deck chairs on deck 9 being dragged around between 3 and 5 am every night as the night crew arranged them for everyone the next morning. Our neighbors heard the same. After 5 nights I finally said something and it totally stopped. I felt so bad for saying anything because I knew I was laying in a comfy bed while someone else was working all night. I just got so exhausted (while also dealing with my daughter's major asthma flareup at night) that I really needed to get some sleep. Other than Filip, and the draggers, everyone else onboard was WONDERFUL! Especially Sandie and Arnaldo from Concierge! I can't say enough about how special they made us feel. I know it's their job but they really went above and beyond.

We had such a magical vacation. Too many WOW moments to count. So many infact that I don't think we'll wait until our 2008 booking to go again. I think we'll go again next year (not concierge this time :sad2: .)

We loved the signed bucket hats and autograph cards from all the characters as well. What a great keepsake! We loved the Walt Disney Suite tour (thanks for that) but unfortunately, didn't meet anyone else after running into Pat and Hanosmom when we were boarding. We totally missed the DISmeet (the munchkins won the argument for the mickey pool) and we were busy stuffing our faces in Palo during the DIS lunch.

This may sound silly, but I was sooooo impressed with how strongly they stressed hand sanitizing. After getting the Squirting child fiasco behind us, we really wanted to stay healthy.

My most emotional moment: when my daughter say Cinderella for the first time. You could see in her eyes that she thought she was the real one.

My funniest moment: when my 4 year old son got off the ship at Castaway Cay the first time and said "that was a great ride" he thought the cruise was over.

My saddest moment: when I talked to a CM who has a 15 toddler son who she doesn't see for months at a time because she's working 70 hour weeks on the ship to give him a better life at home. It made me realized how blessed and spoiled I am

my most embarrassing moment: nevermind ( let's just say it had to do with a bathing suit malfunction)

my worst moment: geting on the scales this morning (8 pounds thank you very much :scared1: )

my most frightening moment:when the bill was slipped under my door Sat. morning

the absolute best moment:can't pick one.... there's just too many. Thanks Disney

I loved every moment of this vacation and the best part is that my kids thought it was more magical than I did :thumbsup2 DH is hooked too!

Best wishes and pixie dust to all!

Our friends were on the Magic in 2002 when the Norwalk Virus broke out and 312 passengers got sick. The following week more passengers got sick. DCL canceled the Magic's sailing for the next week.
Article here.

After that, DCL stressed hand washing and sanitizing.

Hi fellow cruisers,

We just returned home this morning and I finally got a minute to check the thread. We had a fabulous time and I'm still swaying and wishing I were on deck 4 listening to the ocean sounds.

I really enjoyed meeting everyone and we had a ball playing distag. Thank you everyone for all the neat trinkets and goodies.

Sorry we didn't get a chance to stop by the lunch on Thursday, but we were having a fantastic brunch at Palo.

Michelle, loved seeing you on stage Friday night with Taylor Mason. Wasn't he a hoot?

Again, thanks for all the fun everyone and hopefully, we'll meet up again on a future double dip. I know I, for one, loved CC 2x and would love to do it again!!

Happy cruising,
Karen

my bill wasn't as high as I expected it to be which was nice but we only had 5 pictures taken of us the whole cruise and bought 4 of them. Not a good one for the X-mas cards either so I passed on them.

I was disappointed in the Twice the Magic merchandise. I wish there had been more and they only had 1 shirt in a medium and we needed large and extra large.

Our servers were very nice but I read the time on our character breakfast wrong and showed up 15 minutes late with only my DS8 since the rest were sleeping. Our breakfast was very rushed and as soon as we decided what we wanted it was at the table. Mickey and Chip and Dale were the only characters that came over and Mickey was the only one with a photographer with him.

We were told that only Mickey and Minnie had photographers with them. We noticed that Mickey started on one side of the room and Minnie on the other. Maybe you just missed Minnie on your side?? I'm sorry if your son was disappointed. My DS8 ACTED like he didn't care, but kept telling me after that it was fun to hug Chip. Must've been a little pixie dust seeping under his skin....(He may not admit it, but he enjoyed Twice Charmed, too. Franco was his favorite!)

I don't know if this will help but a CM on Castaway Cay gave me a mail order# for the twice the magic merchandise. They had it printed out for guests because they ran out of stuff so early.

Here it is in case you want to order. You will need the SKU's for each item.

OMG I was wondering who saw me :teeth: I knew vanvmom saw me. It was a high light of my sons trip! Funny part the little girl was my friends daughter. Everyone figured i had planned it but lord knows I would never ask to be put up on stage!!!!!My friend taped it so I know someday I will see it ,not sure I want to ;)

I just finished going through all of our photos and compileing the autograph books. My snow white picture is nowhere to be found. She was my ds's favorite and the only page in his autograph book without a photo. Does anyone have a photo of just snow white that they vould share with me? He's a remarkably smart little cookie and will know if it's not the one he met. He thought she was soooo "pitty". My ds4 is going to collapse into a puddle of tears when he wakes up and doesn't see her photo in his book.

We already dealt with my dd's post cruise withdrawal this evening (apparently if we really loved her we'd let her live on the ship) can anyone save me from the same fate tomorrow?????

Tracey

thanks for the info Tracey.

Sorry, no pictures of Snow White.

We were looking at our pillowcases last night and we noticed that we didn't have the same autographs on them all. On one of them we have 4 that aren't on there. I don't mind but Mom got them for the younger grands and you know how kids compare everything. I told her to keep the one that is missing a few and she looked at me and said "but Fairy Godmother isn't on that either!" she loves Fairy Godmother.

Well we got home at 730 yesterday morring.I am so glad I took the extra day, I know my DW was looking very tired this morning.
I glad to hear that every one got home safe, now i get to start unpacking. John and Annie are home I have no other word other than that. I figured I'd give them tim to rest, and get setteled in before calling. I left a voce mail on saterday when we got off the ship.
We had such a good time I am thinking of supprising my DW with a cruies againg in may. just a minnie 3 day cruise I haven't even looked yet.
I am going to be posting a some of the weddign pictures on my web site I'll post here when I do.
Thank you all for a great time.
Devin

I REALLY want some Eggs Benedict from Luminere's this morning....with crispy bacon, please. Then I want to take my book to deck 4 and sit on the comfy chairs and read for a while.

question of the day, what's one thing you wish you would have had time for on this trip that you didn't get to do (or didn't get to do enough)?

I would have liked to have seen ALL the evening/late night shows (without missing what I actually DID do instead). :teleport: Especially sad I skipped 70's night for a visit to the dessert buffet.

Hey....who's showing up for CHAT tomorrow?????

Welcome home Devin. Please send our best regards to your friends John and Amy...so sorry they didn't get to complete the cruise.

It was a treat meeting you and your family and having all our 'hallway chats'. Seems like we kept running into you and miatemel all over the place!

.........reluctantly I head off to the shower and in to work...................

Dancing I went to the Cove Cafe most nights I think next cruise I'm going to spend less time there. I had a good time but I want to try something differant.

I am so glad they are home. I thought about them alot..

I wish I had more time to hang out with all of you guys!!! I missed the cabin tour because I was waiting to have Angies picture taken with all of the characters. My friends I was traveling with kept thinking I was very "strange" that I kept talking to people I met on the Dis. They just don't understand. I felt it was really hard to do a lot of things have the early dinner.I would love to eat in Palo sometime.I also really enjoyed the family dance parties. Intwine was GREAT with the kids. I did make it to 70's night so of corse I missed the chocolate buffet.I really can't wait to cruise again. Before sailing we swore we would wait to 2008 but I have been on DCL checking out prices. When did veryone else re-book for?

Tracey...I looked thru my 122 digital photos and no Snow White alone. I still have three disposables to get developed and will let you know if I have one there that is usable for you.

Jackie...We were at APL 12. Last table I think. We went to Palo one night and Topsiders two and, except for character breakfast, didn't have breakfast or lunch at the restaurants at all. I still don't know how we missed running into you there, though! We were with TXaggie and her family.

Now, how in the world did I miss the dessert buffett? Was it listed in the Navigator? I swanee I never heard hide nor hair about it! Not that we would have been awake--my crew was asleep before 10 every night. So as far as the question of the day? Everything! I would, just once, like to go to Beat Street for a little while and dance or karaoke or something!! I also wanted to do some of the family craft sessions. If anyone went, I would love to know the sorts of things you made. You really need a grandparent or aunt or something to go along with you if you have young children!! I so envied those I saw with a grandparent toting the kids around!!

Okay, what was with the Spotdude people? Why did someone have to get off early?

mom2of2--Diana in Merchandise said that the Twice the Magic stuff had a printing defect and that is why they had so few, because they all had to be sent back. Someone else already posted the info for ordering later, so that's good. I would have liked a bigger selection of DCL clothing.

Carolyn--I LOVED meeting you and yours!! But, sadly, no luck in getting Hottie Husband to rebook. He finally said, "okay, go ahead" at about 10:30 pm Friday night after the magical special thing with the girls, but that was way too late, huh??! Seven days was too long for him, too short for me and the girls. He wants to try something different. Honestly, the first few days were very stressful just getting kids settled down and being so tired from the travel day. I think there probably are more relaxing vacations!

Okay, so I need someone who can do this stuff faster than me to please do something for me. I'm sure they are on the main thread, but I can't wade thru it on this dial up. I need the address to write a thank you note--not the email address, but somewhere I can write a handwritten thank you to the cruise director.
Also, I need the link for the Shutters release form. We may end up having pirate Christmas cards!

Thanks guys. Even if we did go on another, it wouldn't be the same without y'all! This thread has been so much fun!

I was very sad to hear from DH that our email server at home was blown up. :badpc: So I couldn't read ANYTHING over the weekend! I am back at work ( but so many people have stopped by saying they missed me that I cannot be too sad) - plus I get to tell them all stories of the cruise :beach: party: :drinking1 :boat: :bday: :sail: - ONE thing I'll never know is how much I would have gotten out of the cruise without ALL OF YOU! I cannot tell you how great it was to be heading up to deck (fill in the blanks) and run into someone from the DIS. :disrocks:

To me, that was magical... to hear about your stories, your adventures, your plans - was wonderful. To see all those children of yours (Melanie, Carolyn, Michelle, Linda) was a delight in and of itself. I can still remember Melanie's little one screaming, because I was making too much of a fuss about her - I think she was a little embarrassed.

I didn't want to leave the ship - like most of you - and even though I am happy to be home with DH and my "kids" - I still find my mind wandering to moments aboard the ship.

I would have liked to have been more awake for 70's night as well, but seeing the midnight buffet was a treat - and having those last few moments with our sister group!

I do declare I never laughed so hard, or cried so much. (Yes, I'm a sap - I am FULLY aware of that). But that dolphin excursion was MORE than I could have hoped for! And hot chocolate night with the sisters was one of my favorite moments!

I do wish I could have done crafts with Clynne and Miss M - though, that would have been fun. And more time snorkeling also would have been great!

DH doesn't know it yet, but I did rebook (2008) for our 10 year anniversary! After many stories over the last day - he said to me, he would be interested in trying a cruise. YIPEE!!! Little does he know...:rolleyes1

I do NOT know how I can wait that long... but hopefully we'll have some DIS meets between now and then!

Well, I best get back to work... and my next break I'm heading over to find Miss Dee's "LIVE" thread to I can read that!

Have a great THANKSGIVING everyone!!!! YES - let's chat tomorrow!!!
