OMG!!!!!!!!! The travel gods are not with me right now. My dd has suddenly started squirting liquid from both ends of her body (hmmmm...can't find a smilie for that one) flu or food poisoning..... we're not sure which

please someone do the anti diahhrea dance for us. There's no way they'll let us on a plane with "sprinkler kids"

ARGHHHHH!!!!!!!

Okay, so I just went and checked out my "My cruise plans" online, something I have avoided doing on this dang slow dialup. It's then I realize I have Palo brunch AND high tea on Thursday. Brunch at 10:30, High tea at 3:00 (what can I say? IT WAS 3:00 AM, PEOPLE!!) So, is this doable? desirable? They say brunch lasts from 10:30-12:30?! It's not buffet?
Also, this really screws up my getting to do the little secret thing at 11:30 Thursday. Which I REALLY wanted to see. Reckon I can catch up in the middle of it or something? And I wanted to do lunch with y'all, too--I guess I can stop by and visit. But I REALLY want to see the secret stuff!! Suggestions? Should I cancel high tea? Anything to it, anyway? I just thought European husband would like it since it is something he is familiar with. I don't do tea unless it's over ice with sugar, so, just, whatever, for me. If it's just tea and cookies, I think I'd rather do the secret! But, again, I'm pretty much clueless...

Spending some pixiedust: pixiedust: For DD. Hopefully its just a quick bug and leaves very quickly!!!!

Oh Tracey, maybe it's just a quickie bug! Get some immodium in her or something! I'm so sorry!
I am so paranoid about the girls catching something here at the last minute. Won't even let them go to church this week--afraid they might get exposed to something in the nursery! Thank heavens we're homeschooling...

Okay, ladies, maybe we've hit on something here! Maybe the guys will bond and all head out in search of tools or other such manly fare in Mexico and we gals can go shopping for pretty Mexican dresses and such! A girl's day out! With margaritas!

how much ya wanna bet that they would all come back to the ship with DUCT TAPE!!!!!!!!!! :teeth:

I was originally scheduled for 6618 in 11/04 - a fellow DISer needed a slep 4 so I moved to 6628...it is NICE and quiet near that back elevator and very convenient running up the stairs to deck 9 and down to the dinning rooms.

Wow that is too wild that on two separate years fellow Dis's had the same room.

Can we book 2? My DH never gets the right part the 1st time ;) He'll require a return visit.

Do you mean that some people only make TWO trips to Home Depot to complete a project???? Wow...learn something new every day...I'm so impressed!

Carolyn

Mississippi Mel....I vote for DIS lunch, but, then, we don't have any reservations set for PALO. (And, well, I'd somehow have to explain to DD that she wouldn't be having lunch with her AZ aunties. I'd be in the dog house for awhile...)

hopefully it's the bug we had....only lasted about 24 hours. Once the vomiting stops go to the BRAT diet.

Hi Dragon Fly Dreamng,

We have had a 24 hour bug going around down here in TN. Kids are out for a good day then they are back bouncing off the walls. I'll say a prayer that's all your DD's got.

It IS a buffet but there is also a 'menu selection' order that you do that includes a hot entree - either a breakfasty egg dish or a lunch dish...it would be up to you to skip that part if you like as to not miss the 11:30 special event.
There is MORE then enough stuff to keep you happy with at the buffet, beleive me!!! And the deserts are all out there so you wouldn't miss that...probably only the 'hot' part.
They really do make it a VERY nice, leisurely meal but you will do just fine in a one hour time frame.
never did the Tea so I don't know what's with that!!!

Melanie, I don't think you have to be there AT 11:30, just come by when you are done. If you are going to do the tea later, you probably wouldn't want to be eating for two hours anyway! Also, when you get on board the ship you can go to Rockn' Bar D and 'tweek' the times of your reservations if you want.

Has anyone ever rented just the flippers at CC.

Everyone in our family have Masks and Snorkels, but only my wife and I have flippers (fins).

I know about needing a snorkel vest, and that they are free.

Hi RayRing,

My kids don't like to wear flippers when swimming, and they seem to do OK, but they're kids and they don't care a lot about snorkeling. So your kids may or may not be OK.

Regarding buying fins, there is a walmart down in the area. I can't post hyperlinks because I'm a newbie :sad2: , but go to Walmart-dot-com, and put 32920 in the zip code finder. That's the zip for Cape Canveral. You can enlarge the map from there or print directions.

Regarding the life vests being free, I'm pretty sure I read that Disney rents them for $6 each. Did they stop doing that and they are now frree?

Note to mom2of2, I'm still on your hyperlink issue, I haven't forgotten you. My assistant will be in tomorrow and I'll try to get her to upload.

Note to WendyJersey, I was on a layover in PHL, I actually started the trip near Penn State.

See you all soon!

Elaine :cheer2:

We brought our own masks and snorkels, and we were required to wear the vests to go into the water. There was no charge for the vests. As far as the fins, it was VERY helpful having them in the water. If you don't have your own, Disney will rent just the fins for $6.

To anyone who hasn't booked the Costa Maya Chachoben Ruins--try to go with the alisbarc group. This was the highlight of our cruise last year, and the DCL excursion is sold out. This is worth it even at the DCL price. My kids were 11 and 8 when they went, and they had a great time.

OMG I am gone for a few minutes and you guys go crazy. :rotfl2: I see we made our goal. Well, I seem to be the goal setter, so here is the next goal: 5816.

Well, I am off to do a little more packing, and then hit the hay.

Have a great night.

Interesting number, is there some special significance to that one?

Nighty-night DISers!
