pat, don't forget your documents.
They are sitting on the dinning room table right next to the lanyard and other cruise stuff.....

mom20f2...The world is a safer place with people like your mother in it. Don't mess with the woman with the pork roll! She must really love you!

Snorkle virgin here...if we're just doing the snorkeling at Castaway Cay, are fins essential? We bought masks/snorkles, but only DD's smaller version came with fins.

And, thank you all for the luggage opinions. Have decided to brave the possible fine and go with 5 bags in my life-long mission to keep Surly happy. They are pretty heavy bags, though...

Be sure to play Bingo onboard!

Woody

I'm not into playing Bingo, but it is not a bad idea. The way my luck is going maybe I should. Never know when it will run out. In my case soon since I usually never have any luck at all. Of course I think the last time I had real good luck was the night I met my husband in Jul 1990. That was my lucky night. :lovestruc

Hi Kids!

Got my boxes (yes, 2) ready for shipping and printed labels. Now I'm updating all my lists, budget, itinerary etc to get all my paperwork in one place. THERE IS NOTHING ON MY TO DO LIST!!!!!! Well, the actual stuffing into suitcases part will be done on Thursday. (And this does NOT count the household 'to do' list ;) )
QUOTE]

Jackie,

What type of stuff are you shipping ahead? My suitcases are exploding they're so full and I left out things I thought I could get there. I haven't even begun to tackle shoes yet :sad2:
I had thought of shipping consumables but I'm not sure what's allowed. Can you or anyone else give me an idea of what we can ship?

We leaving Wednesday at 7am for WDW (first flight with the kids :scared1: ) so I have to ship anything I'm going to by tomorrow.

I have now also been officially labeled as "obsessed with that DISboard place" by my DH. Who by the way packed himself in 5 min. after I spent the entire day packing the rest of us (his efficiency makes me  ) So I sneak in, log on, and make a post, then sneak back out before anyone sees. hmmmmm...maybe he's got a point ::yes::
Anyway, any help on the types of things that people ship would be great.

Thanks,

See ya on the Magic!

Tracey

Does anyone remember what post the double dip navigator is on? I have a friend who is part of my crew over and wants to see what the schedule is.

Thanks. 6 days left!!!

Jack

Ahhh Tequilla with the worm. I remember Mezcal well...maybe too well.

Did I mention that I can have tequilla mixed in a drink but not alone all by itself?

:) + tequilla alone = :goodvibes then it moves onto :rotfl: then :rotfl2: pretty soon I'm on top of a table  and before you can pour me yet another.......I'm :crazy2: and then I :faint:

In the morning I will be  with a :headache: and :worship: the porcelin goddess.

The rest of you would be party: and I would once again be reminded of why I can't have tequilla alone.

So the worms all yours guys!

Anybody have the phone number on the MAGIC handy?

Tracey, we are not SUPPOSED to ship food (but I am shipping some treats) and we are not supposed to ship beverages (wine being ILLEGAL from most states) and the rest just plain risky. The rule for stuff to put in the boxes for me was.....it ain't coming home in the suitcase. For example, I bought a very small ($4) desk fan. Desert dweller here, don't know if I can put on makeup when it's humid ;) So I'll just pass that on to my stateroom host to give away. Oh, I think I threw my beach shoes in one of the boxes too. And there are a couple odds and ends that I'll be giving away to some of my young cruise friends ::yes::

Jack, give me an e-mail address and I can send it, or it's posted in the LINK that Dee e-mailed out. It isn't actually posted on our thread. ALTHOUGH, I thought it was passed on to a moderator....so it may be up in the DIS FAQ section. ANyway, I can e-mail it.

Hey...I'll trade you...you find the Magic phone number for me, OK?

My DH, who has shown no interest in the cruise the past 11 months--execept working to pay for it!--just decided he better ask when we're flying, out of where, how we're getting to the port, what days are what, etc. I told him I had nothing booked for Costa Maya or Cozumel and we could talk about if he wanted to plan something for those days and you know what he said??
"I want to go to a Mexican hardware store."
Jeez. You can take a man out of his work, but not the work out of the man, apparently!
Sooooo...anyone know where the hardware stores are in Mexico??

Good Gosh Peeps! You have been bizzzyyyy! Took me forever to catch up.
Well I finally found my dang black dress pants. Dee told me to look to the right...Suzanne told me to look to the left and wouldn't you know it...they were UNDER MY BED in a box!

Tried on my new bathing suit that I bought at the Disney Clearance Sale and although DH loved it :thumbsup2 this was my reaction :scared1: followed closely by a :sad2: . Bathing suits are made for either 20yr olds or 60 yr olds....nothing for in-betweeners!

The pork roll saga continues (and CASE is better then Taylor IMHO!) My uncle just returned from Myrtle Beach where for reasons unknown he didn't know about the TSA regs and wound up loosing his aftershave, shampoo, conditioner and my aunts perfume and liquid make-up! Mom is now concerned about the pork roll and kiebasi. I would agree that a frozen 6lb pork roll is more of a weapon then a 8oz bottle of shampoo!!! I can just see my mother running down the aisle for the cockpit with the pork roll held in front of her like a battering ram!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: I pity ANYONE who tries ANYTHING funny on her flight from PHL on Wednesday!!! I told her to call the airport again to verify! Have I told you all that she is driving me nuts????

As for tags for DIStag I have decided that I'm not going to put anything identifing on mine just in case the getter doesn't like it and comes looking for me. :tiptoe:

I'm off to run and pick up the teenager. He's been living it up in AK today and got to see the new NEMO musical. He gave it a big :thumbsup2

Good thinking on the not putting your name on the tags. :lmao: :lmao: I may follow suit.

Hello fellow Dizers,

Are there any folks out there like us who just decided that they would like to see the chacchoben ruins. If so please read.

I have contacted costa maya cruise excursions at costamayacruiseexcursions.com There are 6 of us (2 late 40 adults, 4 kids, girl 16, boys 13,8,7). We can get a prviate charter for 10, 12, o3 14. So we need 4, 6 or 8 more. The cost would be $37 pp if we get 4 more, $35 pp if we get 6 more and $34 pp if we get 6 more plus $3 pp photogragphy charge (???? - that's what the email said) and $3 PP to get from the port to Majahaul (5 minute ride).

If interested please pm me or email me at dwbarc@aol.com

Am going to book tomorrow morning. I'll front the reservation deposit. I will also handle the tip for the whole group. Just need to pay me the prices quoated above.

David

RayRing may be interest in this (party of 4). I don't know how often he checks in, you may want to PM him.

Well, there's barely a SCHOOL and a POLICE STATION in Costa Maya, so I'm betting no hardware stores there!

Tracey...I'm guessing most significant others eventually resign themselves to some level of benign acceptance. My DH actually said to me today, "Honey, you've been packing ALL day. Why don't you go take a break and DIS or something?" Finally...reason sets in...:)

Don't know, but if you find one, you better bring a camera! (I'd actually like to check out a Mexican hardware store, too...)

Happy Hunting...

They list the phone numbers as 1-888-DC-AT-SEA (322-8732) "...the number that people can call in emgergencies to reach you onboard."
