Glad to have you back and thanks for the dismeet update. NOW I'M GREEN WITH ENVY!!!! Getting to go on some rides before the cruise!

WAY TO GO SARAH!!!! TOWER OF TERROR!!!!

Jackie has been trying to get me on that - NO WAY! But I'm always so happy when someone does and loves it!

Lots of NY'ers on the cruise - me, I'm a Hoosier who lived on Long ISland for 5 years - some of my best friends are NYer's and I'll defend them till I lay in the ground!

A very busy weekend - the board is so quiet!

Got lots of chores done this weekend and now I feel it's totally appropriate to drive EVERYONE I know crazy talking about nothing but the cruise from this point until I get back and can talk about what happened for another two weeks. That's how you drag out your week vacation into a month!

Am I GREEN with envy? Peg just came home from the SCOTTSDALE Disney Store with a Capt. Jack t-shirt. Actually, maybe I'm luckier....I get to look at it while she's wearing it! I hope she doesn't mind me staring at her chest.

Welll, since my 'to do' list is shrinking, I think it's time to plan a PARTY!

Thursday, November 2nd for 24 hours, please come to the cruise meet thread and join in on the "SINGLE DIGIT DANCE PARTY"

Now since this is a cyber-party, we can hold it anywhere we want, with any entertainment we want (and we'll need LOTS of that since it's 24 hours) and plenty to eat and drink. So let's all bring along some entertainment, and yummy eats. Hmmmmm, I think we're going to need a celebrity bar tender or two or three also. And I guess it's only appropriate that we have a special guest, perhaps a very notorius and some of his crew. Whadda ya say?

Hi everyone! It's been a busy weekend, and when we're home, the kids think that they get to use the computer for schoolwork .

We just finished carving our pumpkins, as tomorrow is yet another busy day. I was only allowed one Disney pumpkin this year, cause as the kids get older, they want scary pumpkins. So lone Minnie Mouse will be staring at the haunted house, ghosts, and death eater.

Still no DOCs here yet. I'm hoping that they come tomorrow. I need motivation to start packing, (motivation to go, check). We're chronic last minute packers.

I sent the vacation request forms in to school last week. DD was no problem, but DS, who's in middle school, was required to prove his grades in all of his subjects, or they wouldn't let him go. Fortunately, he's a good student, but this puts a damper on my plans to get DH to rebook while on board.

Today was such a cold windy day here. I just kept thinking that two weeks from today, we'd be on Castaway Cay. Ahh, feeling better already.

Have a good last full week at work, as most of us are heading down to Florida early.

No docs here either, but I have proof I paid and I WILL be on the ship in 13 days.

I too need motivation to finish this packing and shoppong. My to do list is not getting smaller. It is becoming more frustrating. So we can motivate each other by discussing our weather. The fact that it is cold and miserable should be motivation enough to get off our duffs and pack.

The DIS lunch numbers are climbing! We're up to about 50 people (Wendy's crowd helped with that number)! And there are still some folks who expressed interest earlier that I haven't heard from yet. I'm throwing some lime green baloons and yarn into the box I'm shipping down, perhaps we can tie them to the backs of some chairs, so we'll be easy to spot. (May not be necessary, as we'll probably be easy to HEAR.)

That last statement is so funny, but also so true. We will be so happy to see each other that we won't be able to contain ourselves.

What were they going to do tell you he couldn't go!!! Considering you paid for the trip I don't see where they have any right to say anything about that except that he has to make up the work. That can be done a few hours each day on the ship.

Lauri~~I'm not that far from you. My ex had relatives that lived in Newtown. Yes it has been very windy today. Thank goodness the winds died down around 6PM. Twelve Days from now I'll be flying down to FL. 13 Days we'll be on the ship. Hurry days go by fast. I can't contain myself as you can see by all this......

I can't believe we have to wait 12 more days. I want to go now.. I am tired and need a nap( on the beach close to the water) .

not be happy. Oh well she still loves me. Counseling here I come again.
I am starting to like lime green, it grows on you.

YOU WILL BE GOING WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED. No last minute expensive trips to the store for things left home.

I never had to before but we did bring notes from the doc in case we were asked what the meds were for. I guess Disney wants to be safe in case a passenger falls ill they'll know what they are on so it doesn't mix wrong with meds they are already taking. Or should they do a ship to shore thing with a hospital they, (Disney) can let them know what they are taking. It is a safety procaution that is worth while for both the passenger and the Disney Cruise Line. But you better hurry they were supposed to be into them by the 14 day mark. Faxing would be the quickest way to get it there.

The med forms are with the forms you filled out for online check in. They are right underneath the contract form that needs to be filled out and brought with you. BTW the med forms need to be signed by a Doctor

Haven't posted much but have been doing a lot of lurking and learning lots. I emailed Disney yesterday and got a tracking number for my docs - they should be here tomorrow! Yippeeee! Now I am getting really excited. We are part of the Jack group from NJ - about 54 of us in all! Sending in the note to school today for DS - hope I don't hear too much noise about it from the school. This is the first time we have ever taken him out for a vacation. We are hitting Disney first (and after - don't ask) so I am picking up my 4 day park hopper at AAA - save $40 bucks a person - $120 total! Bringing suit and dress to dry cleaners and misc. other errands today.

I also wanted to know if anyone else is having difficulty completing the online check-in. I tried a couple of times yesterday and now I just tried again this morning and it keeps kicking it back to my ressies - no forms show up. I guess everyone is just getting excited and filling out their forms and the system is overloading! I even tried at 2:00 a.m. - yes, I was still up - DS had a stomach thing (just pain - nothing else) so I got about 3 hours sleep! He went off to school today because he said he felt fine this morning - just really tired. Hopefully I don't get a call from the school later.

Let me know if anyone else is having trouble with the online check in.

First I want to thank you for the Navigators!!!!!!!!!!! They are just what I was looking for not a lot changes I have three DD Navigators. And they are all just about the same.

Ok now on to my revelation. Last night about 1:00 am I was driving around on our gulf cart looking for… well that doesn’t matter. When I realized that next Friday I will be relaxing by the pool in sunny (I hope) FL having my first of at least two margaritas for my little trip. Next Friday did I say that al ready? I have been looking forward to this vacation for three years. Last year when we went to DW pretty much the purpose was to scout out locations for our vow renewal. And now we are at the cusp of leaving. Next Friday. (I think I might have said that). I don’t think it will hit my Wife until we get our cruise Docs. Which I hope come today.
I wish I was a little farther along on packing. I am the only one left thought. I do have the important things ready I have a half gallon of rum and a half gallon of Dr. McGillicuddy's and a bottle of B&B The package store up the street is closing they are retiring and my brother e-laws camper is sites down ( we get good deals from them)

The med forms are part of the online check-in. It is for those folks who have to administer their own IM meds, ie insulin, interferon, lovenox ect.

Shelly and Woho.. how was the party and were the costumes a success?

The costumes were a success! A couple trips to thrift stores, some discounted silk at the fabric store for sashes, and Shelly dying black a formerly blue print skirt, and they came together pretty well. We went this route after going into sticker shock at the costume shop, for costumes that were made out of what would barely qualify as cloth.

The party was actually kinda boring. There were kids at the party, which is OK, but with parents focusing on the kids...or the kids being so loud that you couldn't focus...it made even conversation difficult. Previous years this had been an adults only party, and we didn't know in advance that this wasn't the case this year. There were planned activities including cards and the like, but by 10:00 PM there was still nothing going on. We ended up making it an early night. Our expectations of what the party was going to be probably had a lot to do with it, though Shelly and I agreed that there probably should have been a separate kids party planned for another night. That aside, it was good to see some friends that we hadn't seen in a while.
