I've been looking at the 'celebrity posts' this morning. Looks like our Moderators have though of a fun way to make a DIS ANNOUNCEMENT. Can't wait to see what's shaking! :goodvibes Hope it happens befor we cruise!

BTW... shirley's popcorn is already popped! :cool1: We get movie popcorn after all!

We have Palo on semi formal night, but I will be wearing the same black dress to Palo that I wear on formal night. I do have to figure out what the boys will be wearing on formal night.

Ladies,

What will you be wearing Semi formal night? I've bought a floor length for formal night and have a little black dress for some other nights, ehich could definitely be semi formal or just dressy casual. Whattaya think? Do I remember some of you saying you will wear the formal dress twice???

My semi-formal night ensemble is not very dressy, just kind of fun. Black pants and shell and a purple-y, swirly, artsy, long coat thing. Not exactly a 'runway' kind of description is that?

I say just add some BLING to the little black dress and use it semi-formal night too!

Yeah! (and duh....like I should have known Shirley knows what's shaking :goodvibes ...or popping!)

Well, I think I've put of household chores successfully, now I can just skip right to the errands, lunch and MOVIE! Where's TiggersPal with that movie list?

I forgot, Thanks for posting the picture of your proud soldier.
I am glad he is there or anywhere to protect us.
My family has a history of military service. Thanks for
sharing that wonderful and scary time of his life with all
of us. You have every right to be proud of this wonderful
young man.

THANK YOU FOR SERVING AND PROTECTING US EVEN THOSE
WHO SAY THEY DO NOT NEED YOUR SERVICES.
:thanks:

You made me cry! Thank you for your kind words for someone you've never met. Thank you for taking the time to look at our pictures. Thank you really to everyone who posted a quick note about "lil Brent"!

Thank you! Blubbering fool...I'm going now...

Carolyn

Jackie and Peggy...I am so glad you were able to de-stress dinner. An earlier dinner at the same hotel you'll be staying at sounds much more relaxing! Next trip, you can plan around V&A!

Jackie...why do you need a fedex or ups location?? Am I missing a shipping obligation (we are planning on sending tag stuff next week to the warehouse)?

Ok, clothing question: NOT a fashionista here and realizing "formal" night implies a long, full length GOWN. However, I do not own or have any interest in buying a long gown. I was planning on just a black, cocktail-ish dress, with maybe a sparkly sweater (final decision later today) for formal night. Does that sound ok???

Carolyn

Okay Ladies the Black Dress has it.
I also have a blk dress with a little glitter for one night
and amethist pant suit thing that also has bling. DS
picked it out so I should be okay.
I vote for the Black Dress cuz you can dress it up or
down.

DH is wearing a suit, okay no shock he is not wearing a
Winnie the Pooh Tie. I felt bad for those not having one
of such great charater. ha ha :rotfl2:
He is wearing one that we bought for th eDaughters
Wedding. Drab compared to my buddy Winnie the Pooh Bear.

Ladies and Gents It has been nice but It is time for me to go
to bed. 10 pm comes quickly. I do not think I will be near a
computer to have fun with you all tonight. Drats. :rotfl2:

We now have our Cruise Documents.

They must have arrived yesterday, and were left on our front steps.

Thank goodness they were in a water proof envelope. It has been raining for about 20 hours, but they were all dry.

Thats one more thing I can check off my list.

Went to town to do this online check in on a high-speed access computer (mine won't even retrieve my reservation!) and it says the system is down and I can't do it!! Drats! Anybody else having trouble retrieving their reservation today? Oh, well, gives me an excuse to get away from all those people at my house tomorrow and try again, I guess....
Do I understand this right? I don't have to print anything out and all I have to fill out at home is the Bahamas form?

DH and I have been saving quarters since the last week of December when we booked this cruise. What ever quarter we got back for anything, we plunked down in a flower pot. Last night after we got our documents in, we decided it was time to roll 'em up. We got $190!! That is just pure "fun" money and we did it where it didn't even "hurt" to save it. So that's kind of fun. That plus our $300+ in rewards card money gives us a good leg up on Shutters, souvenirs and some smoothies for the kids. Yee haw!

Alrighty,

Carolyn, cocktail length dress is perfecto. I'm sure there will be more of those than long gowns. TiggersPal's outfit is a pants one.

Fed Ex location request was made by one of the boys (excuse me, men)...Sean, Jack, Devin? Not sure who, but I know we didn't get an answer yet.

Melanie, yes you have to print out the cruise contract and sign and bring that form HOWEVER, it will probably be in your documents, since DCL has sent those out already, along with your Bahanas form.

Win, too bad, I'd love to see your DH in his Pooh Tie!

TiggersPal is on line as we speak filling out her cruise documents.....finally! It should save time at check in to have all that done in advance, even at this late date.

Now I'm off to compose the e-mail to my boss letting her know I won't be using the V&A certificate and that she will not have a charge for it.

I too, had issues with the server on the Disney site. I did eventually get it to work - and got all docs printed.

Carolyn - I'm not wearing a gown or a dress even. Tux pants with a black butterfly (that's the style I call it) with beads, and sequins, etc. You should look just wonderful in a black cocktail dress. What are they gonna do - throw us out cuz we aren't wearing gowns? I do not think so.

I am happy about the way it turned out with Victoria and Alberts. I was always willing to give it a try but really hated the idea of eating that late and it being that expensive. For those type of situations, I like going early and making it last through the evening. I could have just seen myself passing out from exhaustion in my dinner. We will have been traveling the entire day rushing to the hotel, rushing to change and then rushing to the restaurant. Not my idea of a lovely evening! Plus, we are staying at AKL and I really want to experience that - before Jackie wakes me at 5:00 a.m. all excited to get packing and let's GET TO THE BOAT!!!!

Ok, I've done laundry, done the docs on line and now I must get off the computer and go locate my sister who is somewhere in town having lunch and running errands.

Have a great evening all - I believe we'll be at a movie!

Not sure which one yet. I hate to rub this in, but it's about 79 degrees here - with sunny skies and a slight breeze from the north east.... I just love October in Arizona! Feels like spring everywhere else. The fresh cut grass smell, the flowers all in bloom... just lovely.

What's wrong with a Winnie the Pooh tie? I will be wearing one of those, or maybe my Mickey baseball tie. Or maybe one of my other Mickey ties. I'm not sure which one yet.

Jack

Well I am glad it is nice in Arizona cause I'm with Spotdude and it is NASTY here. The wind is really blowing and it is pouring rain and cold....So how many days? It is 84 on Castaway Cay if that helps!! :Pinkbounc

I just checked around and they are up to something. The problem is Im not sure who THEY are. There are tons of celeberty posts all bout a surprise
Ty, Oprah,Kellie Pickler,Paula, Abdul, Randy Jackson, Tim Gunn And lots more and Suzanne is right they are on EVERYboard. Wel I will keep watching. Let us know if you know something :surfweb: Hope it happens soon. :bounce:

I just didn't want to be the only redneck in a shorter dress on formal night. DH is lucky I'm putting any sort of dress on! It's a go with the borrowed blingy sweater over the dress. *I* felt like a linebacker in it (shoulder pads!), but DH gave me a definitive, YES. So, he either liked it OR was so burned out accompanying me to Michael's AND Target AND then pulling out his cruise casual ensembles for dinner that he just said yes to get on with the rest of his day... hmmm...

Surly has new Mickey ties just for the cruise, btw.

Oh, and regarding cruise docs, the signature form was not in ours. We did, however, print them out and sign them today and filed them in the cruise folder.

Oh great now I have to buy a souvener
I just have to have the t-shirt , Ok I will wear it
to bed so It is useful.

Ok Dee it is the Crocs but when I get tired and excited the letters
all run together.

As far as the movie goes I would love to see the Santa claus 3 movie too.

I cannot read it would put me to sleep and that is not something I do on a
cruise. (ask DH).. I am afraid I will miss something. I guess we all turn
into the child mode aboard the ship.

I am going to take a load of stuff to storage and maybe I can get DH to drive
me to the store (shoes) I have been up for 27 hours and my energy battery i
is running low. Beep Beep low battery :scared1:

Get your rest you don't want to get yourself run down and catch a cold or something. 27 hours is a long time even for me.

Miss C you could wear a gunny sack and never be a redneck! I bet you'll look beatiful. For the rest of the cruise I'll be wearing capri's (cuz I can't wear shorts - Jackie got the "good legs" in the family!)

Most of the tee shirts I have are lime green. I don't even think I have a pair of jeans in the bunch. Oh, well I do have that pair of white pants... could be construed as jeans I guess.

Ok all, off to watch a movie (home) with my DH and the girls all curled up on the couch under their blankies. My dogs love being under the covers! - It's sorta a min pin thing. Good night all.
