If there are no seatbelts on the tour busses (I have already sent an emai to David and Ivan to query), then there will be at least two seats open from my group. Is anyone interested?

Pm me and let me know.

In case anyone is interested. On 11/11 at 11 is the beginning of a huge festival in Germany (Faching). We used to celebrate it when we lived there. My Dsis and I plan to start the party in the terminal at that time. Whoo Hoo

Anyone want to join in?

I told DH that a tux was required, can't wait to see the look I get when he finds out otherwise :rolleyes1 By then he will be looking all cute and there will be no need to change. :Pinkbounc We hardly ever get to go real formal so it should be fun, a great photo op. The rest of the nights He probably won't even do a tie. It is getting so close I am really ready to GO !

Our guys (grown men) wore a tux the first time and it was a great photo opt. Then the complained all night about how hot they were or that their shoes bothered them. Big babys.

Will there be BEER????:drinking1
Well, I'll be celebrating anyway.....'cause I"M ON VACATION!!!

Boy, I've been away with kid activities most of this weekend, and it took me almost that long to catch up!

By the way, who found that picture of my formal gown?--I had to look all over to find it :rotfl: . I do think it's much improved with the lime green boa.

On our cruise last year, I was surprised how dressed up people were on both formal and semiformal nights. DH owns a tux for work, so he brought it, and definately did not feel out of place. Most women had floor-length gowns for both nights. I had a gown for formal night, and a black cocktail dress for semiformal, which I also wore at Palo. DD, then 8, wore skirts and tops both night, although many girls were also in gowns. DS, then 11, wore a button down shirt and tie both nights; many boys were in suits or even tuxes!

Dee, we went with David and Ivan last year, and I'm pretty sure there were not seatbelt. I remember holding on to my kids really tightly. But do try to confirm with them, as it would be a shame to miss that tour--a hightlight of our trip.

With less than 3 weeks to go, it's time to write those dreaded notes to the teachers, letting them know we're taking the kids out of school. Last year, DS spent several hours a day doing work, and now that he's in middle school, I hope this is not the end of family schoolyear vacations.

I have spent hours going over all the posts to be able to PM folks about having their name in the navigator.

I have been able to track and see tat most have read all the PS's, so I am assuming they are not interested and I will remove their name.

Here is my vent. The "search" tool does not work OR at least does not work for me. It makes it VERY difficult to get anything done. I wanted to just check their posts and be able to see if they were stil going, but instead I had to PM them to find out or assume.

WHOOOOOO.. Breath, breath.

Now back to our regular scheduled topics

We are all wearing floor length gowns both nights. My Dgd is as well. The guys are wearing suits becasue I did not want to hear them whine and cry for several hours. :rotfl2:

What is it with these guys? When my DS goes to school in the morning it's been about 40 degrees, and I have trouble getting him to wear socks :rotfl2: . With DH, I just tell him he can dress casually the other nights, and he looks great in a tux. (He will be the man at second seating with his arm twisted :rotfl: .

Here's my next of I'm sure many questions to come. How many DH's out there will be dressed in Tuxedos on formal night? Do most wear suits?
Also, do you dress the kids formal as well? Does a cinderella dress count as formal or is it too costumey?

Dragonflydreaming -
This has probably been answered many times already but it's a very mixed bag on Formal Night, you see plenty of both. We enjoy the rare opportunity to get all "gussied up". My DH owns a tux and so always brings it though wears it with an "evening necktie" - no bowties, etc. I have a full lenth dress and the 2 girls will wear their princess dresses.
Do what makes you comfortable - and welcome.

Atlantis...we have a GO!:) A plan. Confirmed. Everyone likes the idea. Even Mr. Question Everything Til He's Blue in the Face DS. Yeah!

And, do we have a final DIStag total? Want to start preparing...

Dee...sorry about the search. But, more, wish people had just replied to you. I'm going, just in case you weren't sure:)...party in the terminal?? I'm there!

The navigator is near completion. It should be put to bed tomorrow if my group does not run to late.

I have to facilitate a group tomorrow evening and when I plan for a short one and no processing afterwards, it never work out. There are always a ton of questions, issues and resources to be given. So my plan is simple for tomorrow. I hope I get home at a reasonable hour to finish the navigator.

Please PM mith email addresses so I can send them on out. :surfweb:

. . . only one child FELL OFF THE TRAM to the parking lot. (Honestly, we were going around a corner, fast, and she actually rolled!)
That's how a tram driver get promoted to "ride operator."

I wear a tux on formal and semi-formal night. I bring my own tux and two shirts. (The onboard tux rental also comes with two shirts.)

. . . Clynne - . . . I am so excited to play with the kiddies too - I wish we could go do some crafting with Miss M!
Be careful of what you wish for! LOL!

On some DCL cruises they have craft sessions: kids crafts, family crafts, and adult crafts.
