OMG - you guys are soooooooo prepared - and obviously I am NOT...

Haven't started my signs ...haven't packed anythng...I did buy a 'piratey' kinda top I will wear with my Mickey Pirate ears.....I have a few tops for the evening and a few bottoms, too. BUG stuff....lightweight pants for DH for the tour.......Will I need an extension cord to plug in my hair dryer????? I seem to remember I will...... want to order flowers for the cabin - need to print out those forms.....

My last cruise I arrived in Orlando WITHOUT my documents, right Linda and Sarah!!!! I somehow managed to get on the ship, thank goodness!

So in 1 month on 11/12 I will have returned from my wonderful day at CASTAWAY CAY and will be preparing for my dinner at PALO with DH, Linda, Ed and DIS SiS Deb!!!
Then on to the 60's night at Rockin D Bar...

Well, the navigator is really coming along. Believe it or not there are not to many people that have not responded. Most have at least read the PM’s. I am assuming, please tell me I am wrong, that if they read and did not respond that they do not wish to be listed in the navigator.

Here is a list of the MIA, just in case they have been to busy and are traveling with a group. Maybe someone can PM me and give me the status.

Nice picture!! Does anyone remember when Johnny was on 21 Jump Street? I used to watch that. It was a great show with basically new comers except for Dom DeLuise's son. Don's other son played on a show where his face was painted with lines as if they were veins on the outside of his skin. He was not a human. Just can't remember. Don't think it was the original Battlestar Galactica maybe the show SeaQuest when it was in the future. I don't know. Anyone have a clue. I'm getting so forgetful these days lol

I still have our new clothing etc in a pile awaiting the washing machine. Hopefully after a short trip to NY Saturday I will be able to get that accomplished. Not much time left now folks. Once on the ship I totally unpack as soon as I get into the room. It just makes me feel at home once everything is where it is suppose to be. Get that stuff packed we have a crusie ship that will be waiting at port for us in 30 days.
I thought I read somewhere that there were hairdryers in the room. Why do you need an extension cord for the hairdryer? They are usually plugged right into the wall unit. I hope the dryers are in all the rooms even the ones beneath the waterline like mine. Just kidding.

The hair dryers are a point of contention. I too have a room in "steerage" and the dryers there bug me. It is a long hose attached to the wall (I felt like it was drying my hair with leftover heat produced by the engines). It also did not have enough power to style my hair (I prefer to style with the hair dryer instead of a curling iron whenever I can). I brought my own (and plan to again). It did plug into the outlet in the bathroom, but I remember it was an odd fit (it seemed like the outlets were upside down the way they are if it is a switched outlet).

The bad thing is they are in the bathroom with the shower where the mirror is always wet with condensation. How can you fix your hair in rooms like that or when someone is taking a shower. You have convinced me to take my little one. This way I can fix my hair out of the hot damp bathroom. I'm with you bring the dryer and don't forget the extension cord for safe measure.

I forgot to mention that I watched the "Wonder" set sail from our port this morning. I was so sad. Yesterday I watched the Dumbotron as I sat in traffic.

It is really making me wish I was on the ship.

I considered driving over to see her but decided against it because my son (who is now 5) is STILL bugging me continually about going back on "the Disney Cruise Ship" He does not know that mom & dad are cruising without him ssssshhhhhhhhhhhh I was afraid if he saw her so close he would expect to be sailing again, and instead of hearing it about once a week, I'd hear it daily again!

Is a 6 foot extension cord enough? I have a power cord (can plug in 4 things) that has a 6 foot cord. I was just going to plug it in the vanity/desk area for when we need to be charging up stuff. Just found out sister has an MP3 player(!!!) and I'll have a small desk fan and will be blow drying my hair at that location. I'm I gonna blow out the ships power Well, all those things won't be going at the same time.

HEY FAIREYGOD MOTHER...how about a number of DIS cabins per floor tally? So we can know where to go to hide from DISers

Oh, BTW, I've finally e-mailed all the wrist band people with my address for sending $$...so check those PM's folks. I have a big old pile of stuff to take to the post office Saturday!

Here's the latest from the DCL website on our cruise. Remember when it shows 8 cabins, it could actually be more because they only ever list 8 at a time.

still available:

Cat 12 = 1

Cat 11 = 8

Cat 10 = 1

Cat 9 = 3

Cat 8 = GTY only

Cat 7 = 7

Cat 6 = 8

Cat 5 = 8

Cat 4 = 8

So 44 cabins (or more) still available.

Swami Jackie predicts if you are in a Cat 8 (of which there are 60 on the ship), you may get bumped up!

I loved 21 jump street!!!! Most people don't seem to remember it . It seems like it was on a lifetime ago!

Gifts for CM's tend to be something that parents do to thank the CM's in the kids club. I also gave some to various other CM's on board. I had made some bags of candy. They seem to really like them.But Jacqui the cruise director told me that they all share them at the morning meeting... Basically all tips given to non tip receiving CM's get pooled.

Good morning everyone. They say it is 40 degrees here in southern NJ, but I awoke at 5:30 to the temp being 37 degrees. By 6:30 it was 35.4 and going down. Well frost was on the pumpkin here even at 37 degrees. This weekend will also be busy getting plants off the breezeway and into the house. Thought I'd have another weekend. Last year did this right before Halloween just to have them in, but could have left them out another few weeks. Breezeway is enclosed so the plants are not in the full cold or ever get frost. Well at least that is another To Do List thing this weekend.
Everyone have a great day and weekend. Dee we are going up to NY Carl chopped down two trees and Jim is getting the wood. Most likely one of the last times we will see the house. Except for helping to move. Will take pics as I know that house has a place in your heart full of good memories.
