I live in Sussex County...Franklin...but I work in Boonton and Mike has just transferred to the Bridgewater Marriott so we will probably be moving to Morris County...somewhere near where Rte 23 and Rte 287 intersect....my commute will then be a cake walk! :) But I will miss Sussex County...it is nice...

Spotdude - good luck...pixie dust and best wishes for you!

Mike would love to golf, but we are traveling with my BIL and he does not golf, so Mike has decided not to....

Becky in NJ

Good morning all.

I am still sitting on a fence waiting for them to post more info from the dbl dip. I checked already this morning and still nothing about the Costa Maya tour trans. Maybe they will post today as it is a sea day for them. I also want to hear more about the cake decorating and scrapbooking seminars they had. I am hoping some of them will share their Navigators.

Well enough of my whinning. LOL

tggrdisney, I used to live in Burlington Co. My DH used to commute everyday (after he retired) to Phily for his second career job. We still had some country area there and I miss that. I really took "back roads" for granted. Here, everything is a major roda (multi lanes) and there are no "back roads." I do not get as much snow as you guys get though so I guess there is the trade off. Part of my group is coming from that area for the cruise as well.

Okay, I will check in with you all later.

Okay Barb posted some info she said "In Costa Maya, they have the tram to take you from the dock to the tourist area, which is free."

She did not indicate the tourist trans from that are to the "Cats Meow" I guess we will have to wait for the trip reports of the folks who did the David and Ivan Tour.

pandamom, I lived in Mt Holly. Small world.

ANyone see all the new icons. WOW! No wonder the boards have not been working right they must have been updating the,

Posting so I can check out the new smilies. Too cute!
:happytv: :artist: :dance3:

I can't get to the extra ones anymore, when I click on [more], it does nothing. Any ideas?

Dee, sweetie, if you want to see some back roads, come to Poquoson :) , we have cornered the market on back roads around here.

I care that is my old stomping ground. Have not heard from you in a long while. How are you doing? Two of the people in my group still live near you.

I care...I love New Jersey....when I worked in Philly I lived in Bensalem and Mike was liviing in Princeton at the time.....

The only other place I would live is Boston....but can't afford it...and all of Mike's family in NJ so we aren't leaving anytime soon...

I am very excited about the T-shirts and beach bags...I hope they have a lot of inventory! :tigger:

I just got done reading the posts from the "Live" dbl dip and I started to get sad :sad1: when she mentioned there was only one more night on the ship. I can remember dreading that last day, as I knew it would come to an end. I am glad that they having a great time.

I remember back in October of 2004 when we booked this cruise, I think my group has had this cruise booked the longest from the rest of you. I remember starting a thread when we returned and no one else was booked, I was all alone trying to contain my excitement. Thankfully a few weeks later Pat started this thread and brought her brood with her, and as they say, the rest is history. Hard to believe it was almost 2 years ago. Now we are almost at the 5 month mark and before we know it, it will be 5 days and then onboard. Seems such a shame, we plan and get excited for 2 years and then the time comes, we get on board and before we know it is over. I think I should start booking my cruises a couple of days before I leave. :rotfl:

The positive in booking so far out, beside monetary, is getting to know people. I feel like I am making friends and am equally excited to meet you guys.

I hope those that are just lurking :listen: will feel comfortable enough to come by and say hello. :wave2: :goodvibes

Well enough trips down the sentimental highway for one day. ;) Hope everyone has a great weekend. I will, as usual, be packing. This time it will be the 2.5 car garage, ugh. I imagine DH will not be a happy when I reciprocate with the “no mercy sentiment” and start throwing stuff away. :cool1:

Well good to know that there was a reason and method behind the DIS maddness (server being down). It's always nice when something drives you a little nutty only to find that something has improved because of it!

I love the new little icon's! :happytv: ::popcorn: :dance3: :laundy: are my personal fav's!

Dee - I totally know what you mean, when I read that new posting from the Live report - even though I've never been on a cruise, I sure know the feeling of it almost being over!

I'm happy because I have a trip to the Grand Teton's in August to look forward too as well.

Last minute decision by the "emporer" DH... I guess he was feeling a little sad about my Big trip with my sister - and he and I hadn't take one in a while (weekend treks yes - ) and we talked about him seeing his Mom in NY and all. High time the two of us - did a week long! We got nothing last year. Busy putting in a new yard and all!

Anyway, while I am excited for both my trips - they are very different in "feel" and I'm happy about that too! We'll do some riding; hiking; maybe even a little fishing! I'm really excited about the wildlife! Buffalo, Elk maybe even a bear. Anyone ever been up there? I know it's :offtopic: from this thread, but I really would like some feedback and I know several of you are BIG travelers!!!!

TGIF - if I haven't said it yet...

talk to ya later

Thanks Kris, for being in the "no [more] button" club with me. :teeth: Sarah says its something about the pop-up blocker, but I have tried the ctrl key method, and that hasn't worked either. :confused3

Dee, I have been working on my DH about the garage for decades, and to no avail. I haven't given up yet (I am very stubborn), so maybe someday we will be able to park a car in there. :smooth:

Peggy Jo, nothing is off topic on our thread, (well, maybe a few things ;) ) so ask away.

Does anybody else say the same mantra as I do whenever I hit "submit reply"?

"Please don't tell me the server is busy."
"Please don't tell me the server is busy."

And then hold your breath till it goes through, then a big sigh of relief? :)

Or is it just me?

I don't know....my mantra lately has been "Refresh, Refresh, Refresh"

The icons used to work....I haven't added any new pop-up blockers...I think it's just a test...do they not realize just how fragile out OCD minds already are?
