I think the black tennis shoes are a great idea! In fact you reminded me that I need to get something for my little guys too. I just bought them button down shirts, with neckties and black cords. So I probably will do the same thing with the tennis shoes!

We've been on fire watch for the past almost 24 hours! Last night, we almost decided to voluntarily evacuate, since the flames and smoke were so close. But for us it seems like the worse has passed. But the fires have been definitely BAD here in Southern California!

So i've lost a couple of days here of prepping for the trip...but i'll be back in the swing of things soon i hope!

Our AAA agent called and said our paperwork is in so hopefully I can pick that up soon!

Anyone have any good transportation companies to get from the airport to the Port Canaveral Radisson? I need to book that asap...i almost forgot!

Sorry to hear about the fire watch - how scary for you. Sending you pixie dust that the worst is over.

I am using *********** to get to the Radisson. They have been awesome so far - I have had to change the dropoff/pickup times several times and the owner has called me himself to confirm! I have friends who used them on a Disney trip earlier this year and LOVED them. Just my two cents.

Our agent also let us know that our docs are in and she is overnighting them to us - hooray!!

I hate to not be able to go with you all since I have been looking so forward to this trip, but every penny we have, no matter how little, now has to be put towards other things. Correct Cheryl. That's the beauty of the online check-in. Just print out the one sheet and sign it to turn in at check-in, along with the Bahamas immigration form.

I printed two forms: the "cruise contract signatures" page, and the "payment authorization summary" (for charging to a credit card).

Maybe I printed one too many forms.

Question for DCL Vets

The embarkation time on the cruise docs, is that the same for everyone or is that the time you should board the ship?

I have read in other threads about boarding numbers, didn't quite understand.

Amy, That's a general time for boarding, but you can usually get on the ship earlier. As you arrive at the port, they will give you a boarding number (1 for concierge, then 2, 3, etc.). The earlier you get to the port, the lower the number you get. After the suite guest board, they start with boarding number 2, then 3, etc. If you arrive at the port late, you can generally just check in and board.

Yes, our DD is really happy that she'll have a ready-made friend on this cruise; I think the two of them have really clicked over the 'net. I have a feeling we might have to schedule time on their social calendars if we want to see them!!

Daughter? What daughter, do I have a child?

Reminds me of our first cruise, she was 6 and we hardly saw her her at all!! We had to beg her to meet us for the New Year's pictures! She said "I'll meet you for pictures, but then I have to get back to the club because we have a party!!"

So social when she wants to be!
