November 10, 2007 - MAGIC - Eastern

Hey I thought I'd add that we get in early (930am) the day before and we are staying at CBR that night :) Just in case anyone else is!

Anyone going to WDW a day or two before the cruise?

Woody

Anyone planning to hang a fish extender? I am shopping around for some goodies to share and hoping some of you will have one on your door. :mickeybar

I am way behind on this thread as DH usually yaks on this one and I yak on the Panama Canal Cruise.

We have a fish extender and would love to participate.

I will continue catching up to see if there is more info on this!

How about Billy Joel? His song Scenes From An Italian Restaurant would be perfect. ("A bottle of white, a bottle of red . . . ")

Woody

Stop... reverse that... carry on...

Bottle of Red, Bottle of white...

We have a whole case of Mardi Gras beads from our wine store if anyone wants them!!

We're still deciding. Since we ARE getting in really early the day before we were thinking about going to MK....if we do it will probably just be me, DH and Dsis, but who knows.

PS, I forgot to mention that last night I FINALLY booked some stuff for me and DH. I booked an Exotic Rasul and the Shipwreck Cove Snorkel Tour on St. Marteen. I'm really excited and praying that when the time comes we can in fact afford them. I'm glad I realized I could book them and if we can't afford it, we can cancel up to 3 days before the cruise. I'd really love to do the cabana messages for the two of us, but that is like WAY beyond what I know we can afford :p Anyone else doing the shipwreck cove excursion?

We staying at the VAKL the night we come hoome from the cruise for 1 night. Can't wait!

We'll be ay VAKL until the 24th - at which time we become Disney's version of homeless - as we are on waitlists for our rooms thru the 26th.

to rebook onboard? I am thinking/hoping to do this while onboard for Halloween or Thanksgiving next year. My huband is gonna freak!!! I is much more affordable to go at Halloween and a double dip would be too cool but ya gotta wonder if Costa Maya will even be recovered by then. That will be a major chunk o change if I rebook. Ouch.........in addition to all the other stuff!

We were at the port at 10am last time in May and was very surprised about how many people there was a head of us. Some people had been there as early as 7am ish. When DH and I have cruised in the past we always shoot for being at the port between 9am to 10am no matter what the cruise line or the paperwork says, because we know that once the last passenger is off and the ship cleared from the last cruise they can start checking in the next cruise. Sometimes check in goes quick and sometimes it can take forever. It is better to error on the side of more time needed. I know its long winded but does it help? From Tampa if still living there I would leave by 630am so that way if there is any highway problems you won't feel stressed or if you need to do any stops along the way you will be good on time.

We live outside of Tampa. We will be driving to the port that morning. Just trying to figure out what time to get there. I want to be early. What time can we start boarding?

I really don't remember the exact time boarding started on the Magic in May. All I know is that we were just finishing checking in DD at the kids club area and picking up our Dis landards. I want to say it was around 11 am ish. I will ask around and let you know.
