We are doing the one week until vacation happy dance.

Here is a smile for you.
Last night DH was steaming cauliflower and poured the veggie into a casserole dish on the counter. He came in to answer the phone, and when he went back into the kitchen my crazy cat had tried to snag a piece of cauliflower (VERY HOT!) which was about as big as her mouth, so it was stuck.
He pulled it out of her mouth and she ran away.
Later he had the casserole cooling on the stove, and she jumped up on the stove and was grazing on it. Gross.
But still, you think she would have learned.
Apparenlty my cat likes cauliflower.
What a wierdo.

I just finished getting Mom ready for the day. She's 82 and not in the best of health.

I heard something this am and I ran into her room. Not sure how she fell but she is showered, dressed (with my help) and helping clip box tops for school.

Please continue your prayers for her for quick healing.

I can't believe there are only 10 days until we leave for our vacation!!! I'm starting to seriously freak out that I won't have all my little stuff done. Must... finish..... EVERYTHING!!!

I swore to myself that I wouldn't leave anything till the last minute anymore. I'm a bit of a last minute packer. Well not this time!

Totally freaking out, and yet excited at the same time.

I don't think so, She was still eating and drinking normally.
Thank goodness.... How do you explain THAT one to the vet

She is a wierdo anyway, She loves people food. She eats cooked red peppers, which is good, since I hate them, so I pick them out and give them to her.
She goes nuts for black olives, and loves mint. She licked the stripes off a candy cane once.
I think she thinks she is a kid. You think we could get away with buying her a princess dress and bringing her on the ship?

That is a funny kitty story. We had a cat snatch a piece of chicken one time after dinner when our backs were turned, but cauliflower?

Our kitty is continuing her "I am too cute to leave" campaign.

DD's favorite is when kitty reaches up and politely taps me on the arm with her paw at dinner for a hand out. (Meatballs are her favorite.)

Guess we will all miss our pets on vacation.

Tonight I have to make sure that all the SD cards on the camera's are ready for the trip. Have to off load / up load / move / the pix to the desktop. TIP: Make a card with your name address, travel information, and then take a picture of that on your digital camera as your FIRST picture. That way if your camera is lost and is found by an honest person, they have a way of getting it back to you.

Too funny!!! Hilarious that she likes cauliflower, and then hilarious that she came back for more! Kitties just make me laugh.

Get down to the last few days, as we leave on this Sat, finished up getting
the transportation issues done, not using Florida Tours anymore, too many
people left on the curbs, and don't knead the all that extra aggrevation with them. Last of the boxes get mailed today, all the packing is done, only thing
left if to get my hair cut tomorrow, and last minute bills to be paid.
Before we know it Sat. morning will be here. See everyone at the meet
on Nov. 1. Hope everyone has a safe trip down to the boat.

While your traveling I will be at CEC meeting your DIL and Granddaughter....I hope the girls hit it off.... it will lessen their anxiety about not having any friends there.

A week from today it will be my last day at work and then Wed. we are off to the airport! I have not even started packing yet! This weekend will be crunch time and hopefully I will not be forgetting anything. I can't believe we are leaving in 8 days!

I have 3 cats....not weird, mine like it too. If there was cheese on it OMG, IT'S A BONUS. Hoping kitty's tongue and whiskers aren't burnt, but I assure you, they don't learn a freakin thing !!

She has been up & about. She is a little stiff but all things considered that OK!

I am doing laundry today as dh & I will be packing THIS Friday while the kiddos are at a party. We should be able to get it done in 4 hours .... maybe not IF I can't decide what to pack, how much to bring, etc; etc.

I did find out that DH can personally check 3 bags on UAL. I think I get to check 2 that really should work for us. I mean we are only going to be gone for 9 days.

Just cancelled FL Tours (boy were they trying to keep my business, but something there is fishy) and booked with Happy Limo. Hopefully all will go well. We leave on Sat. for a week in Disney before the cruise Can't believe it's here already! Looking forward to getting out of this cold NJ weather. Just a few more last minute things to pack and some haircuts to get and will be all set. DS7 and DS3 are really excited!

I don't know how you're doing it. Even packing without the kiddos knowing it. You have to be the best secret keeper ever!

And the WORLD'S best: pile keeper, pile maker, bag lady, you will ever meet!

DH has piles in his office. IF my kids were the LEAST big sneaky, they would find me out!

I won't be packing in front of them. That will be done in dh's office while they are at the party. Then we will put the bags somewhere where they won't notice them.

This isn't the 1st time that we have kept the secret from the kids. It seem that "Mr. C" aka Santa Claus can get access to dh's Sheraton acct. We have been sent there 2 times for Christmas already. The kids were NONE the wiser.

But, my disorganized ways are VERY good for keeping the secret ~!~! secret!
