I am not going to get my flu shot until we get back, as I always get a reaction to the shot and get sick for a couple of days right afterwords. The flu shot works real good with me - it gives me the flu.

2 of 3 haircuts done, mine is Thurs.

Still working on getting memory cards emptied and ready.

I just called today. We are getting picked up at 9:30 am. We have 8 people so we are getting a 10 passenger van. I'm just waiting for the confirmation email and hoping they are a reliable company.

I can't believe your leaving without us!! Logan says thanks for the B-day gift! Tell Scott that I will be sure to bring my pill box he got me!! I will call you as soon as we land on Wednesday! Hoping you get your confirmation from Happy Limo! Let me know!

Cruise Casual means pretty much whatever you want it to mean. But really they ask for no shorts or jeans or bathing suits.
I try and wear something that goes with the theme of whatever dining room we are in (ie: tropical for parrot cay, a little fancier for Lumieres, and if I have it, which this cruise I don't think I do: Black and white for Animators)
Of course Pirate night you don't HAVE to be piratey and Formal night does not require a tux. (DH is wearing his suit) but a lot of men wear a shirt and tie. And a few wear whatever they want (its their vacation!)
Ladies you will see everything from very formal to much less so.

My Mom is up and about today. She is not as stiff & sore as she was yesterday!

DH lets me run with it with the DCL cruise plans - soup to nuts. No matter how many times I ask, I don't even get feedback on excursions. So, I do my best to pick something we all will enjoy.

DD was funny describing to the hairdresser yesterday where we were going - she indicated Mexico and then "Mom, where are we going again?" So I am in the same boat (lol -literally and figuratively) with Podsnel. DH knows he is returning to the turtle farm.

The itinerary and dress info - What a fun post. Gets me even more in the mood. What a good idea to wear black and white to Animator's. Will I change color during dinner??? (I guess only if I spill something colorful.)

This will be a busy weekend. Packing, haircuts, being told I packed too much and need to remove my "stuff", organizing the "little things".

One thing to remember for first time cruisers especially....
When you pack up your bags on the last night to leave in the hallway, make sure you leave a complete outfit for you to wear when you disembark the next day!

You won't see your luggage until you pick it up right before you go through customs, and it would be unfortunate to go in your pjs or missing shoes or other important items

I didn't know my husband had another family in So. Jersey! Really, my husband knows we are swimming with the dolphins (although I'm SURE he doesn't know where on the planet we will be doing that!), because when we were in Hilton Head at the Disney resort this past summer with other family, he was telling everyone (when we were going on a dolphin cruise) to put on their bathing suits for when we swam with the dolphins!!!

The Making of the Queen Mary 2

Airline which showcases Southwest Airlines.

I was asking the kids lots of ??? They had lots for me. The QM 2 lost a ballast door during the sea trials & they asked if that could ever happen again. I told them NO!

They also saw some pretty disruptive kids on some SW flights. They both said they WOULD NEVER act like that if they were blessed to be on a plane going somewhere They wanted to know why the mom's & dad's didn't have Crayola Wonder, some McD's toys, some playing cards or a snuggly on the flights.

Truly they are both wonderful travelers. The eldest has been flying since she was 1 and the youngest since she was 2 months old. They are both old pros now.

I am trying to figure out what I will tell them when I have to take them out of school early next Friday. They will have to leave their pumpkin celebrations from 12:30 to 3:00 pm. I have to leave w/ them by 2:30 pm.

Any ideas??
