So much to fill you in on, I don't know if it's too late for the FE exchange or the bracelets. Someone else help me out on that one! I'm sure we can let her squeeze in at this late date...what you all say????

Well I was a Freehold, Howell, Jackson, Lakewood, Belmar girl..until we moved 30 minutes away from ORLANDO!! It only takes us 40 minutes to get to disney...WHAHOO!!

We're doing lime green silicone wristbands that say Election Day Castaways 2008. If you want some, let me know. They will be around $3 each and I'll mail them to you mid-October so you have them before the cruise. There are 6" 7" and 8" wristbands, so let me know how many and what size. I'll request payment in a couple of weeks.

Just 57 days until the cruise!!! I can't wait.

Some of us have been around this thread since Feb. 07, when we were about 20 months from sailing. Now we're only a few weeks!!!!!!

The DIS "Election Day Castaways" will meet Saturday November 1st at 3pm in the Promonade Lounge. Come meet the rest of the crew!

The Magic is going to drydock at the end of this week, so expect some updates to the ship for our cruise. A thread on the Disney Cruise Board said that there will be improvements at the Cove Cafe, a new water area by the Mickey Pool, and 22" flat screen televisions in the staterooms.

Wow! Thanks for the update. I look forward to reading the navigators. The girls are really excited as well. I went out this evening and bought some cruise clothes...I wonder what the weather will be like. I think we have to be ready for anything..it might be cold. might not..

I am here in Ocean City New Jersey at work waiting for Hanna! Sunny and calm at the moment. Our car dealership (Perry Egan Chevy) moves all our cars and trucks to higher ground. Last may we were surrounded during the NorEaster!

So far so good on LBI and in Manahawkin. Lots of wind, no significant rain as of yet. Even though windy, not real bad YET. I'm sure tonite when I have to head to Howell I will be in the middle of it all.
Here's hoping all our NJ cruisers are sound and safe tomorrow when it blows over.

It is pouring here in South Jersey (no flames please from the North Jersey gang). We needed the rain, but not this much.

Can't wait to check in the drydock reports. The ship will be lovely for us, I am sure after the improvements and maintenance.

I believe it was this storm that cost the special 5 day 9/1 cruise their second stop at Castaway Cay. Browsing the boards this a.m. I see they only had one dip and missed their double dip. That's sad, but at least they did get one day in at CC. I was back and forth about booking that 9/1 double dip or the election day trip and now I am glad I am an Election Day Castaway.

Air information still not released (booked through DCL).

I am way behind on my cruise shopping - will make an effort next week to get some new cruise outfits.

O.K. need some opinions....
DS's 14th birthday is Monday. I work at his HS and have a few ..well let's just say embarressing things planned. Made magnets to decorate his locker. His friends are arranging a singing telegram for homeroom and I was going to get cupcakes for him and his football teammates for lunch period.
Did I do too much? Or not enough

The rain is pouring in Central Pa, but fortunately not much wind. We just returned from having our church directory family pictures taken. I don't wear suits that often, and it took awhile to find one that fit! Fortunately, I found one that did fit! Of course my backup is my tux with the "expandable pants". I won't need that quite yet!

Anyone start packing yet? I've been putting things in the guest room to be packed as I get it. Got both DD disposable Princess cameras from Walgreens the other day. I know they will be so excited to find those in their "gift bags"

Ahhhh. Jersey girl. My 20th HS reunion is being planned, and I am trying to decide if I want to go back for it. DH doesn't like Jersey, not sure if I can get him to go! But I miss the shore, and haven't seen TR in awhile! Changes everytime I go back! Really miss going to see the waves break over the Jettys in Pt Pleasant in storms such as Hannah! *sigh*

less than 60 days to go!! Do you realize that all the Palo reservations are gone now? At least the ones you can do pre-boarding!! Also most of the good times for any spa treatments! I guess I know what most of us will be doing on the cruise!! Slumming!

Oh, and I got a call from DCL today. Thought they were calling me to tell me I was upgraded. Asked about my "upcoming cruise on Nov 1st" and I was starting to panic it was cancelled! THen she asked if I recently changed my reservations, again sure panic! No, we hadn't! But supposedly, we booked stateroom 8018 back in January, which DCL had correct, but the DVC had wrong, and had us listed in 8040 originally. She confirmed we are in 8018 for this trip though. PHEW!!

Can't wait to get sailing, esp with those new TVs!!!
