2 months and 1 week. LOL My heart can't handle an extra week of waiting.

It's only 2 months & 6 days before we leave for our cruise.

So far, I have helped "Mr. C" ~ Santa Claus to our kids ~ keep the Secret that the kiddos got to go to WDW for Christmas. It seems that "Mr. C" can access my dh's Sheraton points acct. and get us nights at the Swan/Dolphin for the week of Christmas.

This one has been harder since dh got the ressies about 11 months ago.

DD goes back to school today, and DW & I get to meet the teacher this evening. Time to discuss her being out of school for our cruise, and what project she'll have to do.

Our kids and me ( work for HS ) are off week of cruise. However, we are going south afterwards to visit my inlaws . I haven't sprung that on the school yet. I figure when they notice DS14 and I aren't there at same time, get hint.

Hey, for school projects I have some suggestions. WE did this past few years. Key West : We did report on Pres. Truman, or Ernest Hemingway. Both are from there.
Grand Cayman - never been, but kids this year are doing one on Marine Life (turtles etc.)
Mexico - I figure Spanish comes to play on this, gonna make my little one do something on Pinata's and where they come from. DS14 takes Spanish II so I'l let the teacher figure that one out. I'm sure it will be about Mayan temples.

Did I say I was getting excited yet....OMG, I CAN'T WAIT !!!!

DH bought me a minnie shirt as a surprise but he got me a large ......had to return it and get a SMALL!! Do I need to be concerned about his vision of me???

this past weekend we bought more luggage, Mickey&mimmie shirts to wear on to the ship. DH &DD don't know about them yet. Most of the clothes and some of the extra items have been on sale or had a good coupon for them. Last few days reading the posts have been brought a smile to my face, especially with a good friend's son being in and out of four different hospitals. The family watches our house when our "whole" family is away. Cody had a brusted appendix last week. today he went to our local hospital and they sent him to Childerns Hospital in Philadaphia. Will have to find an extra special thank-you gift for them. DD and I did get him a sticker book to work on in the hospital when we were out tonight.

I've read that you can ship packages to the port in advance, has anyone ever done this? I'm just wondering if it would be easier to send a box ahead of time, what is the best way to do it?

My son travels up to Art Beins Karate in Howell as he is a black belt... Any kiddos that attend? He'd love to see a student on the ship.

Also, he stated that if anyone wants a quick free lesson on a day at sea he would get a group of the kids together and show them a few "safety" self-defense techniques. Let us know !

CHOP is an EXCELLANT hospital!

Some of the things that kept mefrom going crazy when my appendix ruptured was:

search puzzles, balloons, music, balloons, hard candy to suck on ~ with MD permission, balloons, new slipper socks, something to snuggle in bed, a nice pillow.

I got some great deals on clothes at Liz Claiborne Outlet. I signed up for their preferred customer list.

I am less than 200 points to the level that will get me 50% bonus points just wait til I tell princessdadx2. He will love to hear that I want to shop AGAIN!

The good news is that I am getting rid of an equal amount of old clothes still in good shape that I am donating to my local clothes closet.

I got some great deals at Lands End. I have been getting free shipping from LE and I have been taking advantage of that

Wow...it was a while since I checked the board and it has been BUSY!!

Shawna - if it is not too late, could you put us down for 3 wrist bands please (2- 7" and 1 - 8"). You'll have to walk me through the process as (believe it or not) I am Paypal illiterate. I can always send a money order.

Last voyage I didn't pre-book our excursions and we were fine getting everything we wanted onboard. This way, I can check the weather and decide rather than being prescheduled. I understand that the dolphin excursion is the one that fills up quickly. If anyone has any experience with any other Western excursions that should be booked early or they will be gone, please let me know.

I'm gonna go over and check my reservation as I read back on page 50 something that someone had their flight information already through DCL.

Still have to resolve the question of extra baggage charges. Since I booked through DCL a year out - I am hoping that I am grandfathered in about not paying for my checked luggage.

Hi everyone! This is the final list for the FE's. The numbers need to be updated, but it is 16 families. I hope I haven't missed anyone! I will update with the final count hopefully later today-

I'm having computer issues, my laptop is not turning on, I think i need a new mother board so I am using the kids' computer. The screen has soooo many toolbars, the actual screen is about 5 inches of space and it is giving me a HUGE headache to be on here! So, I'll hopefully be able to post the full amount/count of people by tonight- in the morning we leave for Destin, Fla- Yikes!!! I have to run- I have so much to get done!!!

On the meet, I think we should meet at 3:00 on the 1st day before the muster drill, in the Promenade Lounge. If we do it later in the cruise, people may have excursions or other activities going on. We could meet by the pool, but I think it will be crowded there and very hard to find each other, in between all the other cruisers. What do you think?

I agree about the meet. There is too much going on the rest of the week, and During the sail away party it is really hard to talk. And since there are some first time cruisers in our group, they won't want to miss it.

DH and I are willing to do any day, but we would prefer a port day to deliver our gifts if possible. The only day we plan on getting off the ship is on Castaway Cay, so we will have time between naps at the rainforest room in the spa and lunch to deliver them
