Thank-you!!! And Carl- that was very funny!!:rotfl:

Thanks!! We'll also be looking for those wristbands at MNSSHP !!! Hope to see a few there.

Change of subject...guess I'm not too smart on the FEs. Do we put together a "customized" gift for each stateroom based on the ages and gender? I'm OK with that just wanted to ensure I do it right. Thanks!!

Carl

I'm sure most of you already have hotel reservations (if you're getting into Orlando on Oct. 31st), but I just got a Travelzoo update for a special at the Royal Plaza Hotel on WDW property. For Oct 31st it's $109 a night for a Deluxe room (either w/1 King, or 2 Double Beds), plus you can add a free breakfast for 2 in the hotel restaurant. I got my reservation here since we're also doing MNSSHP and will be at MK till at least midnight, so we figured it would be better to just sleep there and drive to the port in the morning.

I have a link for it, but I wasn't sure if it was against the rules to post something like that here. If anyone knows if it is something I can post, I'll do so, but if it's not something I can post I can PM anyone the info.

Just wanted to give everyone the option in case it is too good a deal to pass up. :hippie:

LBIGirl you can DD up for the lesson for one day at sea. If yourDS7 is in the club with my DD, she'll try her best to keep him out of trouble and busy. She loves making new friends and at school she keeps trying to reform the grade/school bully(he even rides on her bus).
I hope FEs geard to the family is okay vs. to a child/ren.

We'll have to set up a time/date. I'll be in touch when it gets closer. DS7 is a redheaded Italian and can give the best of us a run for our money. He's adorable and he knows it. I think Jim Carrey better watch out, this one is working it up to the top. :lmao:

Thank you Shauna for the wristband confirmation. :)

We'll keep a look out for our fellow SJ travelers (and honorary NJ families - Pluto's Pup's gang) at PHL airport with their wristbands on Halloween. Anyone else doing lime green shirts? I have to dig mine out for the trip (I usually wear it when be board the ship). My DH was soooo sweet. He got me lime green camera bag for our cruise. Of course, I have my lime green Home Depot mickey head paint chips laminated as luggage tags too.

Confirming 3:00 at the Promenade Lounge on Saturday.

After such a long wait - seems like we are getting close fast.

I guess so far it is just Eyes4mikey and our crew at the MCO on Halloween.

Mikala Cafe ~ Relay for Life ~ lime green shirts.

and

our green wristbands.

Anyone else leaving Mischief nite? Are we the only ones wrecking havic on PHL 10/30? :confused3 Someone has to help me toilet paper the bathrooms.... :lmao: :rotfl:

I'll have my band on, don't know about other one's in group. Kiddos are into it, DH hates things around his wrists.

Lime green shirts??? hmmm ANOTHER SHOPPING TRIP !!!

I don't know if I'm more excited about cruise or 6 more days until school starts..:cool1:

Lead the way LBIGirl! Let PHL know we're coming!
As for toilet papering the bathrooms... it's PHL, I'm sure it's done on a daily basis.

More shopping? After three weeks of non-stop cruise/school shopping, DW says they're finished. So... now it's time for FE extender shopping!

We are leaving out of PHL on Oct. 29th! Spirit never lowered their prices and now with all the baggage fees and you have to also pay for your seat we opted to fly Southwest. We have never flown Southwest before and I know that we get boarded by zone so I will have to jump on printing out our boarding zones 24 hours before we leave. Has anyone flown Southwest and what have been your experiences?

We fly Southwest every time we go to Florida.
It is a no frills airline, but we have always been very happy with their services.
Get online and ready LITERALLY 24 hours before your flight and get your boarding passes.
They board in groups by #. (A,B,C) Groups with small children board between A and B if they don't have A boarding passes.

Thanks for the info! I'm o.k. with the no frills airline for only a 2 1/2 hour flight. I will be online 24 hours before to print out our boarding passes. I have only heard good things so far about southwest.

We are leaving out of Newark on Halloween. We're flying Jet Blue. Will I see any lime green braclets there?
Does anyone know if it's appropriate to wear shorts to dinner the first day of the cruise? We have early dinner seating and I don't know if we'll have our bags by then to change. Should I pack pants in the carry on?

I think they discourage shorts in the dining room, but we have never had a problem with getting our luggage quickly.
Usually we are unpacked before the saftey drill at 4pm.

I think that on the first night they are pretty relaxed in the clothing standards. There were some people I know of that lost their luggage that first day and had to come to dinner in the shorts and stuff they were wearing. I'm pretty sure I've read that for the first night it's a little more relaxed. But I could be wrong! I don't think it will be a problem though if you can't get to your luggage before dressing for dinner.

I agree, I don't think you'll have a problem getting to your luggage in time. ;)

Southwest is a great low fare airline. We have flown them every year and my inlaws use it more than we do. The stewards are great with the kids and actually are mostly men I've noticed. First time DS7 flew they let him sit in the Capt's seat, he was bug eyed.. . We had jokes cracked over the air the entire flight and one of the staff were imitating Chewbacca over the radio the whole way, it was hysterical.
The zone seating is not a big deal for no one has assigned seats and frankly we like the back of plane for there aren't all the biz people on there who get annoyed at every peep your kids make. Most people are will accomodate a family wanting to sit together. The seats are rows of 3 however, which I never understood....how many have families of only 3? We sit 2/2 in aisle next to each other.
Here's hoping to a vacant flight and plenty of leg room !!
