November 1, 2008 "Election Day Castaways!"

It's absolutely adorable. Cross your fingers for me that I come up with some creativity for mine. I have a 50/50 chance of having something cute or something resembling a grocery store bag. LOL!

jblb1020, great fish extender. First let me say thanks to Pluto's Pup for
posting the link that showned several fish extenders. Made a trip to AC Moore and JoAnns Fabric this past weekend. Going to give it a try and make
one for our trip, as this will be my first attemp at making one.

I absolutely LOVE it!! The stitched names are great!!:lovestruc

On our last cruise, I ordered wristbands for our group of DISsers. They were those silicone ones that you see a lot of, and they were a fun way to identify who was from the DISboards. If people are interested, I'd be willing to coordinate this again. The price depends on the quantity ordered, but would be $2.25 or less each. We can pick the color (lime green) and customize what is printed, such as Disney Magic 11.1.08 or something like that. What do you all think?

I think that's a great idea! I would love to able to spot and say hello to fellow dissers!!! Thank-you, Shauna!

The wrist bands seams like a cool idea, count me in, lime green seams to be
the color.

P.S. I can always scrapbook the wrist band later as a soverneir. Do we have any other scrapbookers going on this cruise???

I'm a scrapbooker, but I'm way behind. I'm still working on the scrapbook for my first cruise--from 2004. I started a photobook on mypublisher.com for my 2007 cruise, but that isn't finished either. I told myself that I was going to get more caught up before the baby came, but when she came 3 months early that idea got scrapped.

I used to LOVE to scrapbook- but I think I burned out a few years ago when I made one for each of my 3 boys' teachers, a couple of years in a row, with all the kids from their classes. I must have everything creative memories sold up until that time- it is a TON of stuff!!!! Now I just like to make the photobooks on Shutterfly....but eventually I do need to go back to the traditional scrapbooking- all 3 of my sons have school years scrapbooks, and I never did my youngest's baby book- BAD MOMMY!!! I did find time to scrapbook the Disney characters autographs, though. Where are my priorities?!!!!:rolleyes1

Now I just like to make the photobooks on Shutterfly..

I just made my first photobook on Shutterfly. I did one of the 8x8 storybooks of DDs 100 days in the hospital, and I love how it turned out. Do you ever find great deals or sales on the photobooks?

Oh, that book must be so precious!!!:cutie:  They do have sales from time to time- right before Christmas they did, so I made two for us and copies for Grandma. Right now they just emailed me they have between 20-30% off depending on how much you spend. So, currently, I'm trying to finish up a book I started a while back that has 3 Disney trips in it, each 2 years apart. It's kind of cool to see how fast they grow between trips- and, actually, kind of sad to see how fast they grow...

Great pics! It's amazing how the kids change over the years!

The wrist band idea sounds great. DD loves the idea!

Oh, and BTW...what will we be doing 7 months from today????? pirate:

The wristbands sound like a great idea!! I had looked into doing customized lanyards... but it was going to be too expensive.

Hi Election Day Castaways,
Glad to hear that we have a few scrapbookers on board. I have never done any digital scrapbooking, just the old fashion way. The one good thing about scrapbooking is that there is no right or wrong way of doing it, just do what you feel comfortable with.

Shauna a new baby in the house congratulations, what a blessing.

This DCL cruise will be the first one for our family, really excited, but have been reading the posts on this site, a lot of good information, I think I am in overdrive with all this information. Door sign, fish extenders, wrist bands, all sounds good. Going to try and make my first fish extender this week, as I purchased some Pirates of the Caribbean material this past weekend, so wish we luck.
Palo, would love to try and get a diner or at least a Brunch reservation, but we are not CC members yet, so we will have to take what we can get. Just going to go with the flow, not going to let this put a damper on this cruise. We will try and book on line when our window opens up, guess we will need some pixie dust.

Podsnel - Great Family Photos, love the matching red shirts on your boys.

Not only do I scrap, but I make a living at it. I do it digitally however, so no glue or mess. If anyone is interested, check out my website at www.MyLifeInBooks.com

I have made books on EVERYTHING the past year, so cool.

Maybe just get lime green ones so the "leftovers" can be used on future cruises.

I too scrapbook ... mostly CM products.

Just finished WDW vol I and am working on WDW vol II. I also have a WDW Christmas album for 06 & 07.

Gonna go check out fabric this weekend for my FE. I haven't had the sewing machine out in YEARS! My dh might just :lmao: if he sees me lugging that sewing machine up the stairs. I may also ask my bff to help me out.

Judy

PS I am finally able to get into DCL mode after our spring break 08 trip to WDW.
