November 1, 2008 "Election Day Castaways!"

It just dawned on my yesterday how soon this trip is when I prepurchased my seats on Airtran. With the weather here in NJ going to be crappy the next few days I'm already looking forward to getting to some warmer spots.

My pre trip giddy anticipation started this week!
I start going over my packing lists to make sure I am not bringing too much, but bringing enough at the same time.
And I start obsessivly checking the cruise board to glean any new info.

DH is getting there too.
He is much slower to get excited about our trips, but as they get closer he really starts getting into it. (and I have to re-tell him all the plans I have been yaking at him about for the past year... )

So last night my DH surprised me with the current year passporter cruise book in the nice little portfolio (I guess it's referred to as the deluxe edition). I had bought the passporter last January, but didn't realize that I had bought the 5th edition, not that much has changed, but this one has sheets where you can write daily about your trip. He remembered that every night on our honeymoon cruise I journaled about our trip so that I could remember what we did.

We are getting so excited....when I wake up my DD and DS for school every morning, I tell them the faster they get out of bed, the faster we can start the day and lessen the days until we leave. We do a daily countdown.

I still have to do my packing list, but I have a pretty good idea of what we're bringing (probably too much since it's our first one.) Have a few minor odds and ends to collect....but now that it's starting to get cooler here, I may start packing up the summer stuff right into suitcases.

That is so sweet that he remembered that!!

I LOVE that deluxe passporter- everytime I stuff something in one of the pockets (like printouts of excursions I've booked, or the FE list ) I get SOOOOOO excited!! And I was just thinking the same thing today about the cooler weather and packing the suitcases with some summer stuff as I empty the drawers- just don't forget to throw a bounce in there, or else the clothes will get all "stuffy". I've read that's supposed to help.

I have received my ME luggage tags for the pre-cruise AKV stay, but nothing else yet- I can't WAIT to see that UPS man!!!!

I scrapbook, and if you are really dying to try out your cricut on others, you're welcome to try it out on me However, I'm not doing the FE swap, so I understand if you don't want to try it out on me. Have fun either way with your cricut!!!

Do you all think it okay to say "Election Day Castaways 08" instead of 2008? If you'd rather it say 2008 I can find a different supplier, but the other suppliers will shrink the font to get it to fit. What do you think?

I am really jealous, I haven't gotten our ME or cruise tags yet...hmmm...I may have to tackle the mailman next time he (or is it she) arrives next. Anyway they better get here soon...I can't stand the wait...I may lose my mind it the days don't go by faster!! Wait, can you lose something you don't have anymore???
