Howdy neighbor! Is this your first trip to Disney??

Hello neighbor! Actually, this will be my fifth trip to Disney World. We are DVC members. I just meant that I will be seeing the Castle for the first time this trip since it will be our first day there. The castle always brings tears to my eyes and especially because my four year old says, "Mommy, there is Cinderella's castle!" This is our first year having lunch inside the castle though and our first trip to BBB for our daughter! Can't wait!

19 days and 2 hrs. but who is counting...My son.:rotfl2: every day he clicks on the countdown clock and updates me. It went by fast these last few weeks. I have been so busy re-doing the house, I forgot to count down and do all my Disney stuff. The house was a mess, we found termites the day of settlement. Things have been crazy. Hopefully we can move in this weekend and start unpacking so we can pack for Disney. My son whois 6yrs old asks everyday "talk to me about Disney" he wants to know what I have planned. I feel bad I alsways build the trip up but I haven't had the chance this time. This week I promise we start talking, DISNEY!

We'll be getting there around 10 am on the 20th. We aren't using park tickets that day, but are going to MVMCP that night! Is that when you are going too?

woo hoo yes we are getting off the plane and checking in then going to eat at Tony's for like 7:45p or so!! awesome!!! :dance3:

On the flip side, I have a cold still. I do feel some better as long as I have meds in me. But I will not allow this to ruin my trip :) And youngest DS was complaining about an ear ache Monday evening and since he had a DR appointment Tuesday afternoon, I told him I would get them to check them then since they weren't hurting too bad. Turns out he has the start of an ear infection. She gave him a prescription of Amoxicillan (SP?) to knock it out before we go the Disney.

what DO you do if you get sick at WDW?? :confused3

I hope to see you there. Are you going to have lime green mickey heads anywhere? I'll have one on my bag and on my stroller, so if you see me say hi! :) I look forward to seeing you for sure on Nov. 23!

My daughter got a stomach virus last year. We ended up in the ER at Celebration Hospital. It cost us a day in the parks and we obviously missed our ADR's. When we went to the parks the next day, a guy was complaining about his stomach hurting on the bus and then he actually threw up ON THE BUS!!!

Actually in 2000 when we were there, our last day we went to Universal Studios. I wasn't feeling well at all so Dh was the one who took the kids around everywhere and I would just sit and wait on them. The next day when we got ready to leave, I had a fever. Thankfully it was our day to drive home all day so it wasn't so bad, but had it been mid trip, I would have taken medicine and stayed in bed a day and hope I shook it as quickly as I usually shake fevers at home.

Have a great trip Jo! I can't wait to hear about your trip and everyone else's. Don't worry Bama- I will definitely read your report. I'm going to miss checking this forum every night after the trip but it will be fun to read trip reports. I have been feeling lousy and went to the after hours clinic tonight and got the most painful shot of my life tonight.:sad1: (steriod) I could hardly walk to the car and limped around Walgreens while I waited for my meds. My son wants to start packing at day 20. I'm anxious to start, but I don't want to be tripping over suitcases for that long. Also, I tend to way overpack when I start too far ahead of time! I just hope and pray that my kids stay healthy for this trip!::yes::

Warning...Proud momma post :)

Tonight was my oldest Ds's last football game of the season. He is a seventh grader and they don't get a lot of playing time since the team is 8th and 7th graders. Tonight He played the entire 2nd quarter (we were losing 32-6) along with other 7th graders and the other team did not score not once during that quarter. Then he also played the end of the 4th quarter and at the last play of the game of the last game of the season my son got the final tackle and kept the other team from scoring again... woohoo! Go Zach!

:yay: That's great! My DS8 is playing football at the playground. He loves it, but it is very nerve racking for me to watch all of the tackles!

yaaayyy, two more weeks! and did i mention that we'll be doing a disney/universal version of amazing race? WDW, USF, DL, DCA, and USH in two weeks (don't ask why). anyway, i'm gonna have one heck of a trip report.

went to Ace Hardware yesterday. got myself space bags, ziplocs, water bottle, food container, tide-to-go, febreze, microfiber cloths, and other useful miscellaneous. it ticked me off that they don't have the shoe organizer everyone keeps talking about. i had to settle with backseat organizer (for car seats) and it's just not the same :sad2: they also didn't have a supply of pop up hamper :sad2:

It's 4 am and I woke up thinking about all I have to do for the next 17 days, and I just couldn't get back to sleep.

So I hope you don't mind Bama, but I am going to copy you and do a little countdown of dancing bananas.

17 more days!!!!

I'm a big sap!:lmao:

Aren't Steroid shots the worse! I had to have them when I went into preterm labor with DD and I hated getting those things. And shots don't bother me normally.
