November '08 ~ What Do You Mean It's Over? Should we plan another???

i'm so excited... i keep thinking about how close it is and i get all teary eyed and psyched and oh i can't explain it! You guys know the feeling.

even DBF is starting to get more and more excited. (finally!!!)

I'm driving my boss crazy because its all i'm talking about!!!

ACK! My internet is being weird today. I can not get my wireless to work and I can't get it to work on my desktop if I have my wireless router connected. So I have taken it off then reconnected it and it still wouldn't work. So I just unconnected it for a little while and will just use my desktop for now. The good thing is I have 4 out of the 5 stick family shirts done. I still have to do mine and its in the dryer since I just pre-washed it today. I also have the white t-shirts ironed and ready to put those iron-on on when I trim the extra edges off.

DD is the most excited out of the kids I think. She told me this morning just 10 more days momma! And was all excited when she said it. She loves her some amusement parks just like her momma!

On the flip side, I have a cold still. I do feel some better as long as I have meds in me. But I will not allow this to ruin my trip And youngest DS was complaining about an ear ache Monday evening and since he had a DR appointment Tuesday afternoon, I told him I would get them to check them then since they weren't hurting too bad. Turns out he has the start of an ear infection. She gave him a prescription of Amoxicillan (SP?) to knock it out before we go the Disney.

I am almost done with all the school work I need to get done before I go. Actually I just have a test to take that due the week we are gone but the instructor is letting me take it early. And the other things I am doing are due after I get back but I want to have them done so I don't have to focus on them when I get home.

Just keep thinking of your happy place, take your meds and drink lots of liquids and you'll be better by the time you get there. Glad you caught the ear infection before it got too bad. The prescrip should take care of it. That's what my kids have taken and it works, may not taste great, but it works.

so i am so glad we changed our dates for this vacation.... i was reading that the crowds the week of columbus day were CRAZY!!! some said it was like summer crowds.

Now it has me thinking.... Anyone heard how crowds have been this week? Bama, do you think we're going to have big crowds the first week of November??

Now that we have the baby and all her stuff I was thinking of trying space bags this trip. Has anyone used them? Do they work well? Where did you get them?

I know you can buy Space Bags at Bed Bath & Beyond! =)

Thanks eyor! I'm glad it worked out too. DBF and i were really hesitant about it but this girl seemed legit and we went about it as responsible as possible. We did payments through paypal, we've contacted each other over the phone as well as e-mail, we have her home address... Even with all of that we, obviously, had some worries along the way but it was so worth it. I went to the disney website and priced out how much it would be just for the hotel room at AKV and it was 1600$ we only paid 10$ a point and it was only 40 points for our total stay.... 400$ as opposed to 1600$ SO WORTH IT!!! It was the only way i could get DBF and i into a delux resort.

DBF and I were actually trying to figure out which poor soul would be driving us to the airport at 4am on the 2nd.... and he said maybe we could splurge alittle and take a limo He told me to get some prices and see if it was worth it.... anyone ever done that?

I"m renting points at BC. This is my 2nd time. I just made sure we each have each other names, addresses phone numbers. The first time we did a 3 way call conference and discussed a few things. I wanted the Dining Plan added on. I am paying $10 a point and Saturday nite was $160 and Sunday nite was $80. It is worth every penny to walk to Epcot for the last weekend of Wine and Food Festival. I think I only saw one person get taken, and they discussed it on the DIS. Over on the DVC boards, they give you tons of information if you plan on renting. I almost forgot. We had a contract signed between us too.

I don't know. I do know lots of free dining codes were out (I got one but it wasn't valid my week) so that may boost crowds. But I am just hoping its better than going in the summer.
I do know another family that will be there the same week we are. The boys in that family are friends with younger DS and DD. But the are driving down slowly and not starting parks until Monday. I also know a couple families going Thanksgiving week.

So many little events before our trip that I'm not really enjoying them. I have a haunted walk tonight, camp this weekend, Halloween, Laserquest party... Can we just get them all over with so we can get on with our vacation?? Oh and work, can't forget to go to work.

Dh is still in pain, still refusing the pain meds, still saying "no" to crutches, ECV's and the like, still limping, and still being positive!!!!!!!!! I think he knows he'd better be extra special sweet.

I've cut back from 10 suitcases to 7.
I think.
I am serious. I just cannot go away for that long without the entire house. I am trying to keep it to a minimum so that he won't feel like he has to carry them all. They are on wheels, which is good, but I still think I will get one of those carts at the airport. And then, at CBR- they don't have elevators...
oh good grief.

I've been packing all day.

I'm leaving at noon tomorrow to drive 2 hrs to the airport. The kiddos are going for a half day- their schools are not happy about them leaving for that long, but that's another story.

My husband n I went 3 years ago on our honeymoon same dates and we LOVED it. We didnt think the crowds were bad at all. So we are going back with my DM and DF for our DDs 1st disney trip. VERY EXCITED!!!!

I think I officially started counting at 212 days because that's when we finally booked and settled on where we would stay and when we would go (had to wait on the kids' school calendar to be posted so we knew when fall break was).
