Nov26-27 site needed!

If anyone is planning on canceling their reservations for a prefered or premium site for the Friday and Sat after Thanksgiving, let me know! I am trying to get those days (already have the Sun -following week booked) I have been calling every day hoping to catch a break, but so far no luck.

That is going to be a tough one. We usually visit the Fort then as well. I learned a long time ago to make reservations way in advance. Your best bet will not be until about five days before. But, for what it's worth, we have always somehow been able to get in when we want to. Good luck!

Keep trying - hopefully it will happen for you. Thanksgiving week is super tough even many months in advance. We've been stuck in that boat before ourselves.

November on the whole seems to be jam packed. Definitely try all kinds of combinations of dates around the days you need too. I just had to do some fancy dancing just to tack one day in early Nov. onto our reservation. The only way I managed to pull it off was to book a week on either side of the day I needed, then called and canceled all the extra days (which I did the same day - no hissy fits please).

Made no sense whatsoever as every other option I tried (including calling) said there was absolutely, positively NO availability on that day.

I usually plan well in advance, but this was a spur of the moment kind of thing. Since we have such a long drive to get there, we needed the extra days thanksgiving gives us to drive down. Couldn't believe when my husband suggested we drive to the Fort again! I didn't give him a chance to change his mind!
