Spent oct 31 and nov 1 in the park

It was my and my myhusband, our 1 and 2 yo and my husbands family (his parents, his sister and her 14 and 16 yo (they stayed in the villa with us), his brother and wife and their 7, 12, 15 yo...they stayed at the GCH just not on the villa side)

Stayed at our 2 bdrm villa at VGC

Check in at the vgc was he fastest it has ever been for us. 10 mins!

The trick or treating on Friday night for hotel guests was perfect for my littles (1 and 2 yo).

ON Friday oct 31 we were in the park at opening at 8am. Went straight for anna and Elsa m and g. Got a fast pass for a 920 return. By 920 all fp were gone for the day. Upon return we had a 30 minute wait. We also had a 30 min at opening to get a fp. Gotta love grandparents who waited in line while we took the littles around FL. they did not open the gates early for line up on Main Street. There was a wedding or something that morning so the gates opened right at 8.

Is it me or are FL dark rides a bit scary??? Lol. After taking my 2 (almost 3yo) it never occurred to me before how 'dark' they really are. Mr toads. Oy...

Saturday went to DCA at opening. It was raining and just about everything was closed. Lol. We would have literally been the first ones on RSR. It didn't open for about an hour after the rain stopped. They opened the main gates just a few minutes early. We did the wide right which landed us the first in line at RSR and we weren't even the first at the rope. We just stayed as far right as possible. Only to be told the ride was down.

Screamin didn't open until like noon that day!

Ariels princess lunch was perfect for my princess loving 2yo. Saw: Ariel, Snow White, repunzel, Mulan, belle. Service was amazing. Food was decent. Reservation was at 1100. Was seated by 1115.

We were pleasantly surprised how NOT crowded it was!!!

Thanks for the update, quick questions... What did you order to eat at Ariel's Grotto, and would you get it again? Which were the best /worst entrees?

Thanks for the update. Ariels Grotto sounds wonderful. I keep going back and forth on that, whether we want to do it or not. DD will be almost 8 when we go next so not sure if she's too old. Plus her younger brother won't be too thrilled :rotfl2:

I agree that the dark rides are kinda scary. DD was 5 when we went last. She did Splash, Soarin, Star Tours no problem. She was scared on Snow White, roger rabbit and of course HM and Pirates.

I had the catch of the day (macadamia encrusted mahi) I thought it was good! And a big portion! I would eat it again! My daughter being 2yo, had the infant order of spaghetti with fruit and veggies. She ate every bite. And she was free.

I would totally do it again. If you have a princess loving child, this is the way to go. Th princesses really took their time and were so sweet. Our server was great and arrive in general was great.

We did DCA on Saturday, too - I was really bummed at the beginning of the day. That rain/chill seemed like it was going to hang on all day! But we wound up having a great day there and marveled at the low crowds. We rode everything we wanted to (with the exception of Grizzly River, which I vetoed due to chill!), sometimes multiple times, and even had time to leave the park briefly to go to the World of Disney at DTD. It was a crazy great day, and we loved seeing all of the beginning of CHristmas up everywhere!

Nice to hear Rapunzel was there -- we've never seen her outside of DL!

How was your view? Was your villa request granted :wizard:

Should be called: Mr Toad drives to hell :goodvibes

Lol. My mother in law suggested mr toads. She wondered if my daughter would think it's scary. I said: you get hit by a train and then go to hell. It's a little intense. Lol.

We had room 3506. Great view of DCA (paradise pier side). Not a good view of WOC but it was a great view to see each morning. I was very pleased with the view. If we had been a floor or two higher we would have had a perfect shot of woc.

I was SOOOO excited my daughter got to meet Mulan. Although she wouldn't break away from her 'bah ketti' long enough to talk to Mulan. Lol. It made for funny pics. I plan to make the princess lunch a mom and daughter tradition.

We all enjoyed Ariels for breakfast, including the 8yo daughter who thinks she is too cool for Princesses. Our 5yo princess LOVED it! I thought the food was OK but not great, might try lunch next time. But it isn't really about the food!

I thought the whole thing was done really well, with each Princess being announced then making their way around the room. Better than the other character meals where they sometimes just seem to appear!

The first time we took my son on Mr. Toad's he was that age. I let him sit in the driver's seat, and he was happily "steering" along until we came to the train... He through his hands up in the air and dove into me hiding his face :rotfl: I could't stop laughing it was so funny. Now all of our kids are huge Mr. Toad fans.

My wife agrees with you on this one. It's not a problem since my daughter is 9 but just yesterday she told me, "Wow those Fantasyland rides are creepy!"

Glad you had fun at the Grand! Sounds like trick or treating was fun. I agree Snow white is a scary one too!

Can you help me understand this?
We are going to WDW for the first time in 2 weeks and when you way "wide right" are you saying to go wide right past Soarin' and around past Grizzly River run and come out past the little mermaid around that way? Or just go into one of the far right side entries and stay to the right side of the road?

Thank you so much for helping me understand (I am sure there is a thread somewhere our there):goodvibes

I did a search and found my answer!

I think you meant DL or DCA instead of WDW.

The wide right means going straight to Carsland while staying on the right side.
Before Rope Drop take a spot on the right side, then after they open they will slowly walk everybody to Radiator Spring Racers.. just keep to the right side without going into the curb.

Edit: oooopss I missed your edit Sorry!

:worship:LOL Thank you ricardol! Looooong day :faint:
You are soooo right. DCA!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR RESPONSE :goodvibes

I'm glad you posted about Ariel's and the princesses that were there. That's quite a different crew from when we were there 2 years ago, so I decided to make a reservation for DD6 and I after her Frozen makeover :)
