Nov 28- Dec 2 why is AKL booked?

Hello everyone,
I was hoping someone could give me some feedback. We are going to WDW on Nov 28 - Dec 2. We had our hearts set on the AkL standard room or villas. I called WDW yesterday and they had nothing? Also our second choice was the poly, they also had nothing? Should I keep trying? I thought this time of year would not be that busy. Please post back. Thank you

I think that is the Christmas Parade taping weekend. That draws in quite a crowd for that particular weekend but I've heard that the other parks and weekdays aren't bad at all.

Thank you. I guess I need to find out what dates they are taping and avoid magic kingdom on those dates? Where shoul I post that? Do you think any rooms may open up at akl or poly?

We stayed at the AKL in December 2005 during the taping weekend and to our surprise the resort was filled with camera crew folks, some of the stars and their families, ABC folks everywhere. We saw Vanessa Williams and her family darting out the door one morning. So keep in mind that in addition to folks visiting WDW, the resorts have to house ALOT of folks during the taping. Since it is an ABC taping, lots of folks are there putting this show together. Not sure where Kelly and Regis stay and when we were there the group "Lone Star" was performing. That wasn't open to regular guest, that was taped before MK openned and Disney used their CMs as an audience, as they often do (been there and have done that several times).

Standard rooms are the first to go at any time and with the code released in Aug, they have all been snapped up. You could ask CRO for ANY rooms for the time period and see if any fit your budget.
