Nov. 24, 2010 4 Day Wonder Turkey Cruise!

A few adults, but not many will dress up for Pirate's night....though many will have a Pirate's Tshirt or the like...

As to photos, we suggest buying the base package on the ship, and then adjusting or modifying same depending on how many pictures you ultimately choose to buy...

As to FE, I have even seen a Publix bag for an FE, though i do not recommend that one

Chuck:cool1:

Hi Chuck,

Do you know how much the base photo package costs on the ship and what it includes?
Thanks.
Alison

Hi everyone! Just returned from a road trip to the new Disney Store in NYC.

I am leaving for WDW this Friday. If we can come up with a Fish Extender Deadline, that would be great. I'm voting for Nov 10th.

And if we can get a total, I'd appericate that even more. I want to buy as much stuff as I can this weekend (Friday-Sunday).

Thanks all! See you on the ship!

:thumbsup2

As to pictures, expect to spend between $150-250 if you buy pictures on board in packages, which is the only economical way to buy them....Xmas cards are extra if you want those too...however, you can usually get the same pictures taken with your own camera for most of the character and other shots you want, so there is plenty of discretion...that said, we strongly advise picking out most of the pics you want before late on the last night b/c Shutters is unbearable from the congestion at trip's end...one other note is that if you later decide you want to trade back a previously selected picture for another one, Disney will let you do that.

As to FE, I actually agree w/the 11/10 suggested cutoff and hope Jennifer will have the opportunity to post by then as we too are headed to WDW this weekend, although we do have Character Premiere stores locally here in South Florida.

The call from Mickey did not work for us! :confused3 The phone rang, Mason pressed #1 per the directions and then some music played and the call disconnected. Five minutes later the same thing repeated. :confused3 I tried rescheduling on line, but I received a message that said that a call had already been scheduled. Oh well!! We tried. :sad2: :sad1:

ICEMANPAD LOL on the publix bag. Maybe I should not laugh as I still dont have one....:headache:

The Nov 10th deadline sounds good. Today I had a cart full of goodies but didnt have a clue as to ages for the kids.

Our phone call didnt work either.

Just finished printing a few new door signs.
Happy Birthday (we are celebrating my son's 13th!)
Happy Thanksgiving
and of course my DD had to make one for herself

Thanks for the info on the picture packages. Sounds like there will be tons of photo opportunities.
:)

Beccadoby and Icemanpad,

So sorry to hear your character call didn't work.
:(

Hi Wendy,

I have ten posts now so I can PM you about the FE :)
Yippy! Steven

Steve:

Jennifer is posting the list. I will be putting together a "Mini Navigator" It will have a list of our gang and our little Dis Meets.. The mini navigator is good so when we meet we can make changes to cabin numbesr or get the cabin numbers of those who had GTY or made upgrades at the port. I sometimes forget names so I need a list handy...

Jennifer should be posting a list soon. Jennifer we really appreciate you keeping track of the list.

Thanks

All the TAs, have you gotten your cabin assigments yet? We got ours last week, less than a week after I booked! Last year it was the same, even though I was told over and over we would not get assigned until we got to the port.

Think we have to bail on the FE! I just don't have time to think about getting it together so quickly. My DDs would love it I know, but they wont have a clue, so it wont hurt them if we dont.

We would LOVE to change ours, but hey...at the rate we paid, can't hardly complain, but I do NOT by choice book a cabin at the back of the ship...tried to swap to another Cat 10 cabin (which there are several available), but was told that we can't change unless we ask at the pier....they said we can upgrade or go back to a GTY status, but that was our only choice....I told my hubby it's all his fault since he insisted on booking an INSIDE cabin..HA HA...oh well no matter what cabin we are in, we will have an AWESOME cruise! :cool1:

I got my cabin assignment right after I booked.
deck 6 forward, not too thrilled about foward cabins but we had deck 7 forward last year and it was fine.

I agree, I dont like our assignment but I am not fussing, I am going on a cruise:woohoo:
Our cabin (6307) almost looks hidden on the deckplan...hope the FE pep can find it...LOL

That is why I am coming! With those amazing TA rates - can't pass it up. I did get my room on Deck 2. Not the best, but excited to be going!

I was able to get in on the TA rate as well and received my cabin number last week. I am also on deck 2. Does anyone know if there is a lot of noise on deck 2? It looks like we are between the forward and midship elevators on the starboard side. I think there is a nightclub above us on deck 3.

We have been on deck 2 3 times.. We have actually wanted to be on deck 2 because it is very close to all the action on decks 3 & 4. We are not in our room very much... Just to sleep and relax. We enjoy being out and about.
We have not experienced much deck noise and even with so many cabins being on deck it is surprisely quiet. The usually kids running down the hall sometimes and that was it for us.

I actually like the lower decks because they are normally much more quiet! When you get down there, it is really just sleeping rooms so it tends to be more quiet than the higher decks. Not a big fan of not having a window, but that is more personal opinion.

I am glad to hear deck 2 is fairly quiet. I am hoping my stepdaughter will be too exhausted to notice any noise. We were able to get an outside cabin. Still can't believe how fabulous the TA rate was!
Thanks Wendy and Allison!

I know! I remember when the rate was $25 pp and I was excited. This one was really amazing! What agency are you with?
