so will they have gingerbread houses on our cruise?? When do we get tickets?

We are the official list, but we have plenty. So if you do not mind, I could join this FE swap too. Just let me know.
That sounds great! Please let me know how many kids, gender, ages etc. you have.
I'm new at this so if someone could write up a quick list of things that are exchanged (or examples) that would be really helpful!
Thanks!!! I have to make a FE ASAP... I guess I'm hitting Michael's again!:wizard:

I seen this on the Cruise Critic Board, does anyone know if it is different for the week of Thanksgiving?

  • Formal night is the second night
  • Pirate Party is on Wednesday night ( Puerto Vallarta ).
  • Semi formal night is Friday night ( Cabo).

our TA put us on the late seating, but we'd rather have the early one. got put on the wait list, but wondering if anyone knows if you could do this at guest services if you bring a party to switch with. any party of 4 wanna switch?

We have that exact problem, back in July she tried to get us early seating and she (TA) was told it was a waiting list even then! :scared1:

We will be joining you at late seating. I am not a fan, but I will work it out. But really I don't care because I will be on the Wonder celebrating the holdiay with all of you.

We were cruising during the month of December so I do not know if they will have gingerbread house making on our cruise. If they do, you get your tickets at guest services on Embarkation Day. Do not wait. Trust me. They go fast.

We have two staterooms. Room 2064 has two adults and teenage girl. Room 2076 has two adults.

Semi-formal for Thanksgiving is kind of a bummer. I get so full that I like to wear stretchy pants to Thanksgiving dinner not a formal dress with a spandex underneath.

DD and the chef are posing with our gingerbread creation!

Yummy! It looks good. You need to eat it before you disembark beacause of custom regulations.

It was great family fun!

How do we know our dining time? I looked on our original paperwork (that Disney faxed us) and it says "second" for dining. I seem to recall that that was all that was available at the time. But on the Disney cruise website, it says main seating. Does anyone know the times for each? Thank you! ::MinnieMo

What is the deal again about tipping? How much cash do I need and what is the usual amount? Thanks!!!!! Less than one week and we will be on the Wonder!!!:earsboy:

I think 5:45pm is 1st and 8:15pm is 2nd. On the phone, I was told 1st is "close to 6"

Here is what is from the Disney Cruise site. I just do them pre-paid where I do not have to worry about it.
One Note: One my first cruise I did not know they automatically added the tip and I was tipping the waiters and bar staff. I was wondering why I was getting such great service until someone informed me I was double tipping.

On board Services Question
What about gratuities?
Answer
It is customary to give gratuities in recognition of service, which you will most likely be treated to in abundance aboard the ship. As a guideline, we suggest the following:

Dining Room Server $12.00 $16.00 $28.00
Dining Room Asst. Server $9.00 $12.00 $21.00
Dining Room Head Server $3.00 $4.00 $7.00
Stateroom Host/
Hostess $12.00 $16.00 $28.00
Dining Manager Your Discretion
Room Service Your Discretion
Palo Gratuity included
Vista Spa & Salon Your Discretion
Babysitting Gratuity not expected
Port Adventures Optional;
not included in port
adventure price.

For your convenience, a 15% gratuity is automatically added to bar, beverage, wine and deck service tabs. All gratuities can be charged to your room charge.
