Nov,20th, 2011 Mexico

It has been fun, I will see all of you on the ship. I am packed and only forgot a couple of things. We leave at 6 am heading south and should see the ship about 11:30 am.

I cannot believe tomorrow is the big day!! Just a few more odds and ends to pack and then I'll be all ready. The big test will be me getting all the liggage in the car after the kids have gone to bed. I'm hoping it all fits in the back with the cargo cover pulled over the luggage so that the kids don't see. I have managed to pack without them knowing and I went and got a new camcorder today to record their surprise when we get close to the pier and they realize what we are doing. Right now they think we are going to go see the Muppets tomorrow.

I am so excited for you and your children. What a surprise they have in store. I know you will have a magical day.

We'll be leaving in about an hour and a half for the port. See y'all there.

Shuttle is picking us up at 10:30. :drive: 3 families, 8 people, in our group. :grouphug: Should take about half hour to get there. (We're in Long Beach) Making a Target run for BYOB. :drinking1

So excited! We leave for the port at 12!!! :thumbsup2 DD has cheer practice first but that is ok!

My family will leave the hotel in another 45 min. Can't wait. See you all at 3:30 in the lounge

We are here, and we just took our picture with Mickey!
We are rockin our gold lanyards; you would have thought that we hit the jackpot when we got them. We were SO excited!

We're back. It seems like a few hours ago we were just getting on the ship ready for a week's worth of fun in the sun. Now, back to the grind for another 9 or so months until our Alaska cruise in July 2012. I will be working on my trip report and scanning all of the junk we collected over the past week.

Thanks for all of the FE gifts. It really put a smile on our faces to return to our rooms and find the fun gifts waiting for us. Some of you really have too much time on your hands and put some real effort into the gifts. Thanks, again.

Thank you everyone for all the wonderful FE gifts. My kids LOVED coming back to the room and looking for goodies. They even enjoyed delivering FEs too. My friend and I went most times with all 6 kids late at night so hopefully they didn't wake anyone up when we delivered to your door. My friend forgot to put her name on the cd so I told her I'd let everyone know it was from her (rm 8514!)

I want to start my trip report today before I forget anything!

FE were amazing. Thanks to everybody.

I am sorry that I missed the meets, but I got sick on Embarkation Day. After a visit to the ship's doctor and medication, I was able to enjoy our cruise.

Thank you all for the WONDERful FE gifts. Sorry I didn't get to meet most of you, but we were running from one activity to another. Hope to rest today, before work tomorrow. We were about the last to disembark, around 11:15 (home before noon), and waited up on deck 4 in the sun. Wish we had this weather for Sail Away Party! And, so much for the Gingerbread House making. Guess the Christmas cruisers will get to do that. Now we had to look forward to our Fantasy cruise in June. Did anyone book a future cruise on board?

We rebooked our Alaska cruise in July 2012 and booked an Eastern Caribbean in July 2013.

I felt this cruise had way more things to do than the 5 day we were on last year. I am beat from seeing the shows, playing the games, and taking pictures. We bought the CD and there are almost 90 pictures on it. I think I need a vacation from this vacation.

... We were about the last to disembark, around 11:15 (home before noon), and waited up on deck 4 in the sun. ...
We were within the first three groups to leave the ship. There were a lot of people who, I guess, thought they would get a jump on things and crowded the Atrium area. This caused all kinds of problems. We had first sitting breakfast in Triton's and enjoyed every bite. Then we pushed our way through the Atrium into Diversions to relax before our time. I think we actually left around 10 or so.

As far as embarkation is concerned... we had an 11AM time but didn't get on until about 12:30. We were assigned group 3 when we arrived at the port on Sunday at about 10AM. Some Cast Members escorted a family toward where pictures were being taken with Captain Mickey. They got to the front of the line and left. They also got their names announce in the terminal before they boarded. I don't know who they were or why they got the treatment they received.

My friend's family and I booked the same cruise for next Thanksgiving while on board. We all really had a great time together so we decided to do it again!

We also bought the cd. I made sure we took a lot of photos and ended up having 109 photos taken. The kids were over having their pictures taken by Friday night.

I was bummed about the gingerbread houses as well. I think I will bring my own on board next year!

Thanks to everyone for all of the advice, and FE/door decor fun, too! It all helped to make our first Disney Cruise very special! Little Violet was over the moon with everything!!! I'm sorry I didn't make it to the meets, but those first couple days I was just getting my sea legs and trying to figure out my way around! We haven't booked a future cruise...yet...but are talking about Alaska, and trying to get other relatives with us. :wizard:

Well....back to reality, for now! :teacher:
