We booked also with the kids sail free. We were looking at Carnival the same week as its about $1200 cheaper, but trying to convince the hubby to do Disney again. He's actually (GASP!!) tired of Disney. I'll convince him to go though :-)

As much as I'll miss Castaway Cay, I'm looking forward to driving to port!

We are DH Steve (43)
Moi - Deborah (40)
Rachel (10)
Ben (8)

my sister is booked also, with her husband and kids ages 5 & 8

With every one of these replies, I'm getting older and older.

Just booked with the Southern Californian Residents special. Couldn't resist the 25% discount:thumbsup2.
We did the DCL MR 10 night in April. Loved every minute (except the puking on an excursion:sick:). We also had 2 days in Cabo, and, yes, it did pull out at night, but not until 11 pm so we had plenty of time to play. We did ATV and horseback riding, plus glass bottom boat tours, and enjoyed margaritas near the beach. WONDERful.
Planning to join the FE group, will confirm later.

I'm so glad someone else has joined this cruise!! I figured between the KFO offer and now the so ca offer, we should start seeing my intros! I did convince some friends to join me on this cruise. It will be a friend and her Dh and her 3 kids who will be 9, 6 and 4 at cruise time. I'm sure they will be interested in an FE as well!

I would love to get to know others on this trip. I know its a long way off. I'm traveling with a group of 9. My in-laws, my sister inlaw her husban, and daughter, then there is my hubby and two girls. They are very excited.

Chicogirl (and everyone else),

Thanks for getting this thread going...we just recently booked this cruise and would like to join in the group! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one having the In-laws along (misery loves company!) :rotfl2:. We're travelling as a group of 9 in three cabins. I along with DW, DD(8) & DD(8); my BIL, SIL, Nephew(12) & Niece(9); and last, but not least, my "WONDERful" :rolleyes1 MIL

For our immediate family, this will be our 5th Disney cruise and our third to the MR, the last one being in April where we met a ton of new friends, including "Susiesark", who recently joined in on this trip as well. If anyone has any questions regarding anything at all (from bars :drinking1 to beaches :beach:), please ask. I'll jump in later when I have more time with some details.

Thanks for having us and we're looking forward to a great cruise! party:

Hi, Ccinifamily here! We are still going on the crusie but will NOT be participating in the fish extenders. A friend told us about this sight and about all the extras we can participate in, but it's a bit much. I'm looking forward to seeing all the decorated doors, etc. and perhaps we will take more on next time! Have fun and see you in Novemeber!

We just returned from our very first cruise on the Wonder to Alaska!! It was so much fun and the sights were absolutely breathtaking! My DD (8) loved the kids club and my DS (10) thought he was too old for the lab and enjoyed spending time with us. I didn't get to do everything I wanted so I'm looking forward to this cruise. My DS will be 11 so hopefully he will like the tween club.

Hi Disney Pals,
Found this site from Cruise Critic board...put a thread on it but no one responded.
We are booked and going for Thanksgiving.
We can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!! We live in Fantasyland, so it is perfect for us.
Never been on Disney Cruiseline, but been to Mexican Riviera on Princess 7 times. We live about an hour from port so never have to fly...we take too much luggage to fly ;) This will be our first on Disney and first with 2 days in Cabo (our favorite port).
Are we doing a meet and greet?
Can't wait to see you all soon! only 136 days left :cheer2:

Just wanted to see if anyone had planned what excursions they are thinking about doing on this cruise. It will be time to book before we know it! We are heading to Disneyland next Saturday for a short 2 night stay at the Grand California Villas to celebrate my daughter & brothers birthdays. I can't wait to ride the new little mermaid and star tours rides!!

There are a lot of SoCal residents on this thread, so maybe we can have a meet before cruise time. Boutilier, let me know if you want to meet up next weekend at Disneyland. DD (7) and I go pretty often. It would be fun to say a quick "Hello" ! :wave2:

Hi Susiesark
We are driving down Saturday morning (6 hour drive for us) and will be hanging around the resort and DTD for the rest of the day. Sunday in the parks and possibly seeing Harry Potter. Goofy's Kitchen for birthday dinner. Drive home Monday so DH can be at work on Tuesday. Let us know if you will be there. I suspect it may be crowded as Sunday is Disneyland's birthday too!!

My DS(26) and DD(31) will be doing some zip lining during one of the stops. My DW and I are looking at maybe doing some ATV'ing. Sitting/Lounging at the beach drinking margaritas sounds good too.

One more thing... If you hadn't heard, next weekend is "car-mageddon" here on the west side of LA. The 405 will be completely shutdown between the 101 on the north and the 10 on the south. Now I don't expect that you'll be using the the 405 on your way to DL, it will probably have an effect on every freeway surrounding LA. Plan accordingly.

We Would LOVE to do zip-lining, but DD (7) wouldn't even consider it. We did ATV/Horseback riding in Cabo in April and she loved it. You can get great rates for excursions at www.johann-sandra.com

Looking forward to our first Disney Cruise out of Mexico for Thanksgiving!!! Our parents bought at this amazing vacation for my family of 4 (2 girls) & my sister and her family of four (also 2 girls). Hoping to get to know some of you and gain some Disney knowledge before we set sail!!!

Hello Everyone!

My family of four is also booked on this cruise. It's my husband, myself, and two daughters (ages 16 and 11, almost 12). My younger daughter read the previous messages with me and would love to get to know the other girls her age prior to the cruise.

We've been on one other Disney Cruise when the kids were 5 years and 8 months, it's been far too long! Since then, we've done lots of other cruises, but we're so excited to be going on this one.

We've never heard of the Fish Extenders, but it sounds fun so we're going to check out the posts linked to see what it is all about. Is there a deadline?

Thanks!
Amy

p.s. Do people trade pins with Cast Members on the Disney ships like at the parks?
